Year 1 & Year 2 一、二年级

In Art & Design, Year 1 & Year 2 students have been learning how to make different things including trees, animals and castles by tracing the hand and coloring them in like a coloring book in the past few weeks. They have been getting more creative by using this way.

Year 3 & Year 4 三、四年级

Year 3 & Year 4 students have been learning about the work and style of Yayoi Kusama and her iconic polka dots. Yayoi Kusama is a contemporary Japanese artist who accentuates the use of bold, contrasting color, repetitive patterns, (especially dots), and movement (through the use of organic lines) in all of her work, whether it be painting, mixed media, sculpture or interactive installations.

Year 5 & Year 6 五、六年级

Year 5 & Year 6 students have been talking about environmental issues. They have created different types of posters to raise awareness about environmental issues.

Year 7& Year 8 七、八年级

Year 7 & Year 8 students have been learning about geometric illustration in the past few weeks. Geometric illustration is a fun trend that focuses on the simplistic beauty of mixing certain shapes, lines, and curves together for creative results. Year 7 & Year 8 students have made different kinds of geometric illustration works.

Year 9 & Year 10 九、十年级

Year 9 & Year 10 students has explored and used a wide variety of ideas, media and techniques and has developed the confidence to review, modify and enhance their work as it progresses.

Year 11 十一年级

In the past few weeks, Year 11 students have been learning about the work and style of 5 photographers including William Eggleston, Rinko Kawauchi, Arnaud, Henri- Cartier Bresson and Stephen Shore. Also, students have been learning how to do slow shutter speed photography to capture amazing photos with freezing moments & blurring effects.
