In the ASDAN Simulated Business Challenge Regional Competition, students from Fettes College Guangzhou formed SH Company and Green Top teams, and both teams achieved excellent results.


· Both teams ranked in the top 25% overall.

· Both teams qualified directly for the national finals.

·Both teams won the "Operational Excellence Award", "Top Auction Teams", and "Business Battle Winners".

·Both teams won Building Ownership Certificate and ASDAN Young Entrepreneur Certificate.

ASDAN模拟商业挑战非常考验选手们的时间管理能力,同学们需要在短短的两日时间内完成2轮路演,每轮比赛都需要进行海量信息处理、思维可视化设计制作、演讲准备等。


一位同学说道,这两天每天都睡不够4个小时,睡觉都在想演讲。

The ASDAN Simulated Business Challenge is a test of the time management ability of the contestants. Students need to complete two rounds of roadshows in a short period of two days. Each round of competition requires massive information processing, visual thinking design, production and speech preparation. One student said that in the past two days, they slept only four hours each night as they were always thinking about the speech.

30分钟内做出最佳决策

Make the best decision in 30 minutes



在运营环节,同学们需要从大量数据信息中迅速抓取重点,计算出公司的利润,并进行资金分配。这非常考验同学们的全局测算和决策能力。

In operation, students needed to quickly capture the key points from a large amount of data information, calculate the company's profits, and allocate funds. This is a great test of students' global calculation and decision-making ability.

The ability to solve "superclass" problems



在比赛中,评委经常抛出许多超出日常课程范围的难题。如:如果你们公司开设在一个发展中国家,且打算在这个国家开展人才孵化计划。你们觉得该计划对发展中国家有什么好处?对公司的目标客群有什么益处?


这些“超纲”难题,让同学们认识到课堂知识与实际运用的差异。

In competitions, judges often throw out many difficult questions beyond the scope of their daily lessons. For example, if your company is based in a developing country and you want to start a talent incubation programme in that country. How do you think the programme will benefit developing countries? What's the benefit to the company's target audience? These "superclass" problems make students realise the difference between classroom knowledge and practical application.

ASDAN英国总部颁发的ASDAN青年企业家证书,是对同学们财商素养核心能力的权威认证,可以作为留学申请的重要凭证。财商素养包括:商业思维、公众演讲、领导力与团队协作、市场分析、思辨与危机处理等能力。

The ASDAN Young Entrepreneur Certificate issued by ASDAN UK headquarters is certification of students' core ability of financial and business literacy, which can be used as an important certificate for university study. Financial intelligence includes business thinking, public speaking, leadership and teamwork, market analysis, critical thinking and crisis management skills.

商业思维与创新

Business thinking and innovation


广州斐特思开设了商务课程,这门既有理论性又有实践性的学科,备受同学们的喜爱。老师教授这门学科,经常以深入浅出的商业案例,帮助学生更好地理解“理论”。


老师会用“如何对某一款产品进行增值”等商业议题,让同学们在课堂上组队,完成产品创新、VI设计方案、产品营销方案、募资方案等。


在这次ASDAN模拟商业挑战中,同学们在拍卖谈判、公司的运营决策、利润测算、市场分析等环节,都充分运用了课堂知识。

Fettes College Guangzhou offers in depth business courses at all senior school levels. Our specialist teachers for business studies guide students on a path of knowledge acquisition. They are instructed on practical and theoretical aspects in the art of business topics.

The teachers will use topics such as "Added Value" and ask students to form teams in class to participate in, product innovation, market research, pricing strategies, and promotional design. In the ASDAN simulated business challenge, the students were able to rely on these theoretical skills and use them in a practical way. They participated in the auction negotiation, organisation operation decision, profit calculation, market analysis, and other aspects.

公众演讲能力培养

Public speaking ability training


同学们制定完整的产品方案后,老师会让他们在课堂上进行公众演讲,展示产品亮点、阐述商业思维,以获得投资。本次比赛的拍卖谈判、路演等环节,考验的便是同学们的辩证思维及全英文公众演讲能力。


在课堂之外,学校还为学生们提供多样化的公众演讲机会。从小学到中学,学校会举办中英文演讲比赛、英文戏剧表演活动等。老师亦会带领同学们参加“外文杯”等英文演讲比赛。沉浸式的语言输入环境、高频的语言输出机会,让同学们在路演融资环节游刃有余。

After the students make a complete product plan, the teacher will let them give a public speech in class, show the product's highlights and explain the business thinking to obtain investment. There will be potential investers or (Judges) watching their presentations, depending on their skill they can win different amounts of investment.  The auction negotiation, roadshow, and other aspects of this competition will test the students'  thinking and English public speaking ability.

Outside the classroom, the school provides students with various public speaking opportunities. From Primary School to Senior School, the school holds English and Chinese speaking competitions and English drama performances. Teachers will also lead students to participate in English-speaking competitions such as the "CIPG Cup". The immersive language input environment and high-frequency language output opportunities allowed students to navigate the road easily, show the process, and achieve good results.

Concise and visual thinking


在比赛中,借助媒介简洁地表达商业思维,亦是非常关键的一环。Kelly同学笑称,我们并非艺术专业,但做设计的能力也是不可小觑的。


广州斐特思鼓励同学们将课堂上的收获结合课后搜集的资料,在学业成果展上展示。学生们将自己的思维可视化,用关键词、思维导图、绘画设计等方式,清晰地向大家传达想法。这些成果展对于锻炼同学们提炼要点、提升思维能力大有裨益。

In the competition, the use of media images to express business thinking is also a key part. Kelly said with a smile, “We are not art majors, but our ability to do design should not be underestimated.” Fettes College Guangzhou encouraged the students to combine what they learned in class with what they collected after class and organize it into an academic achievement exhibition. The students visualised their thinking and used keywords, mind maps, drawing designs and other methods to communicate their ideas. These exhibitions are good for students' ability to extract key points and share their thoughts visually.

Led by specialist teacher


教授商务课程的Sam老师,曾在法国、英国、加拿大等多个国家进行研学和教学,有着丰富的国际教育经验。


他会结合具体的商业计划书,为同学们讲解企业的运营逻辑,如市场营销、人力资源管理、商业环境等,激发了孩子们对商科的热爱。

Sam, who teaches business courses at a variety of levels, has travelled to France, Britain, Canada and other countries for research and teaching and has rich international education experience. He will explain to students the operation logic of enterprises, such as marketing, human resource management, and business environment, in combination with specific business plans, which inspires children's love for business.

李四维俏老师硕士毕业于香港中文大学,具有8年的国际教育教学经验。她曾带领学生参加ASDAN全国模拟商业挑战赛,获得全国铜奖。


比赛前,李老师将成本测算、收支平衡点、定价策略等理论知识讲解透彻,并结合市场、竞争者策略进行综合分析,让同学们学会了如何解决公司的运营、决策问题。

Ms. Dorothy graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a master's degree and has eight years teaching experience in international education. She has led students in participating in the ASDAN Simulated Business Challenge Regional Competition and her students have won the national bronze award. Before the competition, Ms. Dorothy explained theoretical knowledge such as cost calculation, break-even point and pricing strategy to the students thoroughly. She made a comprehensive analysis based on the market and competitors' strategies, so the students learnt how to solve the operation and decision-making problems of the company.

未来,在任何行业,商业思维与能力,都非常重要。商业作为一种通识教育,扎根于孩子们思维中,教会孩子们敏锐洞察商业现象,培养商业逻辑思维,以商业思维认识理解我们所处世界的运行规律,这与今后要不要从事商业相关工作无关。


无论是商业挑战赛、演讲比赛,还是艺术节活动,都有助于提升学生的“沟通能力”、“领导力”、“学习与实践能力”等综合素养。一群性格迥异的学生组成团队, 过程中他们有分歧、摩擦,有理解、包容。为共同的目标而努力,同学们一起挑战那些看似不可能的事情,最终验证了“难、能、可贵”。
