With the remarkable improvement of its comprehensive national power and international status, China is getting closer to the center of the world. Our country and the world are deeply integrated and interacted. "Tell China's story well, spread China's voice well, and show a credible, lovely and honorable image of China. Strengthen the construction of international communication capacity, comprehensively enhance the effectiveness of international communication, and form an international discourse power that matches China's comprehensive national power and international status" has become another life goal of a new generation of ambitious and visionary world citizens growing up in China.

On December 20th, Mr. Liu Xiaoming, former Chinese Ambassador to the UK, and his wife visited ISA Liwan. As the first guest of ISA Liwan “Master’s Talk” series, Mr. Liu gave a lecture titled "Tell China's Story Well" to the students. This was also the first time that Mr. Liu gave a lecture to an audience with less than a university degree. The students of ISA Liwan were truly fortunate.

During the campus tour of ISA Liwan, Mr. Liu and his wife enjoyed the students' work of calligraphy, guzheng playing and other outstanding traditional cultural talents, and exchanged ideas with students from different sub schools and grades of ISA Liwan. Mr. Liu was deeply impressed by the students' confident and innovative responses. The ambassador encouraged the students to build solid foundation, stay healthy, develop their horizons, aspire to a high level, and contribute to the society and the world. Mr. Liu also encouraged ISA Liwan to continue to adhere to the innovative path of multicultural integration in education, and to cultivate students with the ability of cultural integration, global competence, and the ability to tell China's story on the world stage.

In the afternoon, Mr. Liu brought a wonderful lecture "Tell China's Story" to all teachers and students, and interacted with them in the session of "Diplomat Press Mock Conference".

In the lecture, Mr. Liu shared his many years of practical experience in diplomacy in a humorous and in-depth manner, which made the students understand the importance and necessity of "Tell China's Story Well". When mentioning the need for public diplomacy skills to "Tell China's Story Well", Mr. Liu summarized as "to be heard, to be understood, to be accepted, to be believed" and supplemented them with vivid cases, which made a deep impression on the students. Mr. Liu shared three clips of interviews in Hard Talk, which were both thrilling and exciting. Knowing that our diplomat is always calm, confident, reasonable and poise when defending the national image and presenting the real situation of China to the global public, the audience could not help applauding with excitement, admiration and pride.

In the session of "Diplomat Press Mock Conference", Mr. Liu gave great respect to the student reporters with the manners of Ambassador and replied to every question of the students in a serious and detailed way. The Q&A session was also wonderful and interesting. The audience could no longer control their impulse to have a "direct conversation" with the ambassador, and kept raising their little hands.

This event enabled students to have a more comprehensive understanding of the abilities and qualities required of a diplomat, to know the responsibilities and challenges faced by diplomats, and to root in their hearts the responsibility of safeguarding the image of the motherland. At the same time, the students realized the deep reasons for the establishment and change of the relationship between countries. The strength and prosperity of a country is realized by countless individuals who work hard in different fields. As Mr. Liu said, "Telling China's story and spreading China's voice is not just the matter of the country's leaders or diplomats, but the matter of every Chinese citizen."
