在这个快节奏的时代,心理健康已成为全球不可忽视的重要议题。在爱莎荔湾,我们深刻理解到,身心健康不仅是个人幸福的基石,更是构建和谐校园的关键。因此,借着世界精神卫生日的契机,我们举办了为期一周的心理健康周Wellbeing Week系列活动。
通过一系列丰富多彩的活动,提升了学生、老师及家长的心理健康意识,凝聚全员共同建立一个具备强大支持性和全人教育素养的环境,从而形成“教师乐教,学生乐学,家长乐意”的健康校园氛围。
In this fast-paced era, mental health has become an important global issue that cannot be overlooked. At ISA Liwan, we deeply understand that physical and mental well-being is not only the foundation of personal happiness but also the key to building a harmonious campus. Therefore, seizing the opportunity of World Mental Health Day, we organized a week-long series of events for Wellbeing Week.
Through a variety of engaging activities, we raised mental health awareness among students, teachers, and parents, fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes strong support and holistic education. This initiative aimed to create a healthy campus atmosphere where "happy teachers, happy students, and happy parents."
Student Activities: Practices of Love and Growth
研究表明,身心健康与学术表现之间存在着直接促进关系,身心健康的孩子能够更好地专注于学习,有更高的学习效率和更好的学术表现。
孩子们在慈善义卖活动上积极为学校心理健康环境建设贡献力量。在这场爱的传递中,每一枚刻画有“你得到的爱远超你的想象”、“你已经很优秀了”……这些温暖话语的心理健康徽章,既承载着对自我关怀和心理健康的深切关注,也在实际行动中促成对爱莎慈善基金会的支持。在无形中增强了自我价值的认知,体会到了被爱的力量和给予的快乐。
班会时间,主班老师们用一张张工作纸,引领不同年级的孩子们探索自我、发现自我,在写下内心想法时倾听自己的神功,理解自我认知的重要,增加人际间的往来互动,为未来的成长奠定坚实的基础。
夜幕降临,寄宿生们围坐在一起,共同观影、从繁忙而充实的学习节奏中暂时抽离,在剧情中思考情绪的意义,在欢笑中学会接纳与表达。
Research shows that there is a direct positive relationship between physical and mental health and academic performance. Students who are mentally and physically healthy are better able to focus on their studies, resulting in higher learning efficiency and better academic outcomes.
Students actively contributed to the construction of a supportive mental health environment through a charity sale. Each badge appearing messages like "You are more loved than you know" and "You are enough" not only reflects a deep concern for self-care and mental health but also supports the ISA Charity Foundation. This initiative enhances self-worth and helps children experience the joy of being loved and giving.
During class meetings, teachers guided students across different grades to explore and discover themselves through worksheets, encouraging them to listen to their inner thoughts and understand the importance of self-awareness. This interaction builds a solid foundation for future growth.
As night fell, boarding students gathered to watch a movie, temporarily stepping away from their busy studies to reflect on emotions through the storyline, learning to accept and express feelings amid laughter.
Staff Care: Nourishment and Relaxation for Body and Mind
在爱莎荔湾,我们深知教职工团队的身心健康对于构建健康校园文化的重要性。
在紧张的教学行政工作之余,学校特别为全体教职工安排了肩颈按摩、拔罐放松等舒缓活动,在工作场所中获得宁静与放松后,能够以更加饱满的状态投入到教育教学事业中去。
咖啡厅内,精致的蛋糕点心与水果,香浓可口的茶饮,让老师们在繁忙的工作中也要好好为自己“充电”;自我照料的温馨小贴士和广州市心理健康资源,鼓励和帮助老师们在繁忙的工作中也要好好照顾自己,保持身心的健康与愉悦,更好地教导与服务于学生。
At ISA Liwan, we recognize the importance of our staff's physical and mental health in fostering a healthy campus culture.
To alleviate the stress of teaching and administrative duties, the school organized activities such as shoulder and neck massages and cupping therapy, providing tranquility and relaxation at the workplace, enabling teachers to engage more fully in their educational roles.
In the café, exquisite cakes, pastries, and fruits, along with rich and delicious teas, provided teachers with an opportunity to "recharge" amidst their busy work. Warm self-care tips and mental health resources from Guangzhou encouraged and helped teachers to take good care of themselves during their hectic schedules, maintaining their physical and mental well-being to better educate and serve their students.
Supporting Parents: Communication and Resonance
家长茶话会在温馨愉悦的氛围中展开,家长们围坐一堂,与人文心智关怀主任黄杰超老师一起,倾诉分享着孩子教育的心得与困惑,共同探讨着如何更好地支持孩子的心理健康。
心育中心的心理辅导老师们也根据不同年龄层与需求的家长,提供了不同主题的小组茶话会讨论,促进了家长之间的交流与学习,既是家校沟通的桥梁,也是家长们心灵交流的平台,力促家长们在交流中倾听、理解与共情。
在心理健康周期间,学校也为全体家长提供了一系列图文并茂的自我照料和家校共育的资料,提醒着家长们在忙碌的工作生活中也要关爱自己、关爱家人,因为身心健康的家长,能够给予孩子更坚实的支持与陪伴。
The parents' tea gathering took place in a warm and pleasant atmosphere, where parents shared their experiences and challenges in educating their children, discussing ways to better support their mental health with Jiechao Ng, the Director of the Student Support Center.
The counselling staff at the Well-being Center offered various themed discussions tailored to different age groups and needs, facilitating communication and learning among parents, bridging home-school connections, and fostering empathy and understanding.
During Mental Health Week, the school also provided parents with various informative resources on self-care and home-school collaboration, reminding them to care for themselves and their families amidst busy lives. Healthy parents can provide stronger support and companionship for their children.
回顾这一周的心理健康周活动,爱莎荔湾见证了从个体到集体,从学生到教职员工、再到家长的全面成长与积极改变,不仅增强了对心理健康的认识与重视,更学会了如何在日常生活中关爱自己、支持他人。
获得精神支持的教职员工能够以更好的状态教育学生,学生能够在更健全的环境中学习和成长,家长也能为孩子的成长更感放心。

Reflecting on this week of activities, ISA Liwan witnessed comprehensive growth and positive changes from individuals to the collective, involving students, staff, and parents. This not only increased awareness of mental health but also taught everyone how to care for themselves and support others in daily life.
Staff members who receive mental support can educate students more effectively, students can learn and grow in a healthier environment, and parents can feel more assured about their children’s development.
In the future, ISA Liwan will continue to uphold the educational philosophy that "mental and physical health is the foundation of holistic development", constantly exploring and implementing activities and curricula that benefit the mental health of both staff and students. Together, we will walk the path filled with love and care, creating a healthier, happier, and more harmonious campus environment.
