The Foundation students learned to improve their communication skills by using a paper-cup telephone. With this, they shared and passed messages among their friends. When they spoke into the cup, the sound waves produced by their voice would make the bottom of the cup vibrate. These vibrations would then travel through a string connecting the two cups. The sound waves, which were transformed into vibrations, were then transmitted inside the second cup, conveying the sound of the speaker's voice. This activity was designed to enhance the student's listening and speaking abilities.

The Kindergarten 1 students became extremely excited this week when they participated in a new science experiment. The students performed an oil, food colouring, and water science exploration. They learned how oil and water do not mix and they were even more mesmerised to observe how coloured patterns could form in the aforementioned mixture.

Through a simple science experiment, we were able to connect changing colours to emotions. The children explored the idea that emotions can blend and change just like the colours in our milk experiment. The experiment served as an interactive way to examine and explore emotions, and how they can be influenced by different factors.

In Kindergarten 3, the students have been investigating how shapes and patterns in nature can be connected. The students were able to explore various patterns we can find around us in the natural world, such as the hexagonal shape of honeycombs and the spiralling patterns on snails and seashells. Kindergarten 3 were able to use these natural elements to experiment with and create their own patterns.

Kindergarten 3学生们一直在连接自然界中的形状和图案之间的点。学生们能够探索我们在自然界中发现的各种图案,例如,六角形的蜂巢和螺旋形的蜗牛和贝壳。大班的孩子们能够利用这些自然元素进行实验,并创造出自己的图案。

In Music class, the Foundation students learnt about another farm animal, the duck, while focussing on one of the most famous dishes in China, the Peking Duck. This dish is said to have originated during the 13th century in Hangzhou, not far from Shanghai. In connection with that, the students sang one of their favourite rhyming songs called ‘5 Little Ducks.’ 


In Kindergarten 1, the students learnt about African drums. The children first experienced how to use these new instruments and began dancing in the fashion of African dances, melodies, and beats. 


The Kindergarten 2 students talked about different cultures and famous instruments in every country.


The children expressed themselves to develop their skills and were encouraged to play and sing with simple instruments.

在幼儿园小小班上,学生了解了一种农场动物,也是中国著名菜肴之一“北京烤鸭”的原材料。据说这道菜起源于13世纪距离上海不远的杭州。学生学唱了一首歌曲,这是他们最喜欢的押韵歌曲之一,歌名是“五只小鸭子”。


在幼儿园小班音乐课上,学生学习了“非洲鼓皮”。孩子们体验了如何用非洲鼓和,如何跟随非洲音乐的节奏和旋律跳舞。


在幼儿园中班我们讨论了每个国家的不同文化和著名乐器。孩子们通过表达自己的想法来发展自己的沟通技能,学生还学习用简单的乐器进行演奏和唱歌。
