Spring has crept into our lives. In this season of "flowers and cherry blossoms", it is a good season for children to get close to nature, feel the life and cultivate their emotions. In order to let the children know more about nature and feel the spring, LWS Kindergarten carried out the theme activity "I have a date with spring". The children went out of the classroom and into nature to find the footprints of spring and to feel the smell of nature and spring.
Mr Tao Xingchi once said.
"We have to free children's space and let them get in touch with the flowers, plants, trees, green hills, green water, sun, moon and stars of nature ...... to freely ask questions of the universe and befriend all things."
In the spring when everything is reviving, nature is the best classroom and flowers, plants, fish and insects are the best encyclopaedias.
In the breeze under the sunny spring, the magnolia tree in the nursery grows quietly, its branches stretching diagonally, leafless and green, except for the magnolia's furry buds which are bulging day by day. Children playing in the playground spotted the magnolia ......
Nature, with all its living things and forms, is the perfect textbook for children. The falling magnolia flowers are supposed to be sentimental and through the various games the children play we feel the warmth of the falling magnolia flowers. What is it about spring that is different from other seasons? Why do the leaves grow back in the spring? Why are the trees in bloom? What secrets are hidden inside the flowers?
To further enable the children to look further into the plants and flowers of spring, LWS Kindergarten would like to take the children on a continuing search for spring ..... Find the answers to these questions.
Flower cake is a snack with flour, roses and magnolia as the main ingredients, featuring a refreshing floral aroma and sweet but not greasy. "Huh? Are flowers still edible?" To the surprise of the children, the LWS babies washed their little hands, put on their little chef outfits and started making the delicious flower cakes.
Roll out the dough, make the crust, wrap the filling and print it. Edible roses are richer in nutrients than ordinary vegetables, making them a natural and healthy food, and the LWS babies will return home with a taste of spring with their mums and dads with this hand-made snack.
Portrayal, release of spring
Kites are one of the oldest folk arts and leisure activities in China, with a history of more than 2,000 years and integrated into traditional Chinese culture.
The LWS babies designed, painted and made their kites independently. They splashed around with colourful brushes and paints to paint their very own colours - the colours of spring! The children took their painted kites and ran along with the wind. The kites carrying their dreams danced, sang and smiled happily in the breeze of spring.
Observing and recording spring
"Hey, grasses are popping up!"
"Look guys, these little flowers are so pretty!"
"There are so many new buds growing on the trees ......"
"Teacher, what kind of flowers are these?"
After receiving their assignment cards, the LWS babies transformed into little spring reporters and started to look for and "interview" the cherry blossoms and plum blossoms in the garden, carefully observing the shape of their petals and carefully recording the footprints of spring ......
The LWS babies sat in a circle, enjoying the food and the fun of sharing as the sun shone brightly on the spring day.
In March, we had a spring date between the fragrance of spring flowers and the light of the spring sun. The short trip brought the children closer to nature and the charm of the green season and spring. The spring trip was not only an experience but also a meaningful journey of exploration. The spring breeze over the walls of winter opened up a world of light and every baby was the most beautiful flower in the spring.
Encounter with spring, and the sun;
Spring is here, the joy is here!
