In collaboration with the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Guangdong (GDETO), Division of Exit-Entry Administration of Dongguan Public Security Bureau, The Mainland and China Consultation Services Centre, The Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions (“MCCSC”) and HKFTU Greater Bay Area Social Services, the Hong Kong travel documents renewal services were carried out smoothly at ASJ (Dongguan) on Sunday, 26 March 2023.

3月26日（周日），在香港特区政府驻粤经济贸易办事处、东莞市公安局出入境管理支队、香港工会联合会内地咨询服务中心以及香港工联会大湾区社会服务社的通力协作下，“东莞暨大港澳子弟学校香港旅行证件校内续期服务”在我校顺利开展。

Since the resumption of normal passenger traffic between Hong Kong and the Mainland on February 6, there has been a surge in demand for Hong Kong residents in the Mainland to renew their travel documents, thus they have to wait for a longer time to get their documents renewed, of which has affected many Hong Kong students studying in the Mainland. After fully understanding the needs of teachers and students of the school, the GDETO has innovatively provided an on-campus renewal service including Hong Kong SAR Re-entry Permit, Hong Kong SAR Passport and Hong Kong SAR Document of Identity for Visa Purposes for the people in need.

据了解，自2月6日香港与内地全面恢复通关后，身在内地的香港居民换领证件需求激增，排队办证需要等待较长时间，这同样给在内地就读的港籍学生带来诸多不便。驻粤办在充分了解我校师生的办证需求后，创新性地为有需要的人士提供了包括回港证、特区护照以及签证身份书在内的在校续期服务。

The event is also strongly supported by relevant departments. Division of Exit-Entry Administration of Dongguan Public Security Bureau provided an on-site replacement service for the Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents, while The Mainland and China Consultation Services Centre, The Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions (“MCCSC”) and HKFTU Greater Bay Area Social Services set up an information desk to provide volunteer services to applicants.

该服务同样的得到了相关部门的大力支持：东莞市公安局出入境管理支队在现场提供回乡证的办理服务，香港工会联合会内地咨询服务中心以及香港工联会大湾区社会服务社则在现场设立咨询服务台，为前来办证的学生和家长提供义工服务。

In total, 270 people signed up for the whole day event and it was well received by a lot of applicants. Many parents expressed their gratitude to the school and relevant departments for organising such a convenient service to facilitate Hong Kong people in the Mainland after successfully processing their documents.

在学校组织和引导下，本次活动共有270人次报名参与，从上午十时至下午五时三十分，家长和学生都按预约时间到场办理换领证件，活动得以在有秩序的情况下举行。港人家长对服务表示非常欢迎，有家长在成功办理证件后表示，学校和相关部门能够组织一场如此好的服务，为内地港人提供便利，确实值得点赞！
