As of June 27th, 2023, Canadian International School Kunshan(CISK) is now officially authorized as an IB World School for the Middle Years Programme(MYP)！

喜讯！昆山加拿大外籍人员子女学校（简称CISK）于2023年6月27日正式获得由国际文凭组织认证的中学项目（简称MYP）官方授权！

Letter from IBO´s Director General Olli-Pekka Heinonen：

来自国际文凭组织理事长Olli-Pekka Heinonen的祝贺信：

This is a very significant milestone in the history of CISK as we are now an International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum School authorized to offer the PYP, MYP, and DP. CISK is the first IB World School in Kunshan and the 45th school in China that offers a full continuum IB curriculum.

这是CISK在国际教育发展史上一具里程碑式的重要事件。至此我校成为幼小(PYP)、初中(MYP)、及大学预科项目(DP)一贯制IB世界学校，是昆山地区唯一一所，也是截至目前为止，中国第45所由国际文凭组织认证的一贯制IB世界学校。

According to the authorization process and standards for being an IB World School issued by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), a school must pass a very strict evaluation from the IBO, and only when it fully conforms to the standards within the school mission, educational philosophy, organizational structure, qualified teachers, teaching skills, school facilities, and curriculum can it be authorized.

根据国际文凭组织（简称IBO）官方发布的IB世界学校授权流程和标准。一所学校必须经过IBO非常严格的审核，在办学使命、教育理念、组织架构、师资力量、授课技能、课程体系和学校硬件设施上需完全符合标准才可获得授权。

The teachers will continue to write units of work and develop the MYP, especially in the areas of Approaches to Learning, Community and Service as well as the Personal Project. The Middle Years Programme is designed for students aged 11-16, aiming to provide a structured learning method that assists students in becoming creative, critical, and reflective thinkers. The MYP not only encourages students to build connections between traditional subject content and the real world, but also to develop communication skills, multicultural understanding, and global involvement. These, among many other qualities, are essential for students to become active and leading members of the international community.

国际文凭中学项目（IB MYP）专为11-16岁的学生设计，旨在提供结构化的学习方式，鼓励学生成为创造性批判性和反思性的思考者。它强调智力和挑战，并鼓励学生在传统学科内容和现实世界之间建立联系。它支持学生发展沟通技能、多元文化理解和全球参与，除其他许多素质外，这些都是学生成为国际社区积极参与者和领导者所需的基本素质。

The MYP builds on the work of the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and provides the best preparation for the IB Diploma Programme (DP) for Grades 11-12. The DP is regarded as the best preparation for continuing university study across a range of popular destinations worldwide.
