2023年7月14日,长沙彼一米森林学校中方校长陈斌先生为在校全体教职工及湘杉教育总部职能部门员工开展了学期末总结培训——《加强自身实力 拥抱AI时代》。

On July 14, 2023, Mr. Byron Chen, the Chinese principal of Changsha BeeMee Forest School (CBFS), conducted a semester-end summary training for all faculty and staff of Hunan Dragon Spruce Education, titled "Strengthen Yourself, Embrace the AI Era".

培训伊始,陈校以校训开篇。CBFS想成为一所什么样的学校,需要先了解其办学宗旨和理念;而你想要成为一名什么样的教师,也同样需要明确自身的信念。

At the beginning of the training, Mr. Byron Chen started with the school motto. To understand what kind of school CBFS wants to become, it is important to first comprehend its educational objectives and philosophy. Similarly, as a teacher, you also need to clarify your own beliefs and aspirations.


CBFS以 “激励每一个人不断突破自我,追求卓越,让社会更美好” 为愿景使命。CBFS想办的学校,不只是为了某一个学生或家长,在CBFS教育生态及学习社区,学生、家长、教职工共同成长,创造一个美好的世界。

The vision and mission of CBFS is to inspire commitment to personal excellence for the betterment of society. CBFS aims to establish a school that is not just for one particular student or parent, but rather a CBFS educational ecosystem and learning community where students, parents, and faculty all grow together and strive to create a better world.


明确培养目标

学习的目的是什么?

是为了上一所好的大学?

学习英文的目的是什么?

是为了上一所好的国际名校?

并不如此!作为一名教育者,我们要培养的,是一个积极探究、知识渊博、勤于思考、善于交流、全面发展、坚持原则、胸襟开阔、懂得关爱、敢于尝试、及时反思的终身学习者!

What is the purpose of study?

Is it to attend a famous university? 

What is the purpose of learning English? 

Is it to attend a world-famous university?

It does not seem so! As educators, we aim to cultivate lifelong learners who own traits of principled, open-minded, balanced, caring, knowledgeable, reflective, inquirers, thinkers, communicators and risk-takers.


“(a+b)²=a²+2ab+b²”是在每一个孩子的数学学习生涯中都会出现的公式,你可以选择“死记硬背”,或者刷题“熟能生巧”,可如果你不懂其背后的规律,不去探究公式生成的路径,当问题升级,你又是否能顺利“解题”?在培训现场,陈校便以“二项展开式”为例,为大家讲解了公式背后的规律,也让大家更深入地理解了“探究式学习”的意义。

“(a+b)²=a²+2ab+b²” is a formula that every child encountering mathematics will come across. You can choose to memorize it by rote or by practice. However, if you don't understand the pattern behind it and fail to explore the path of how the formula was generated, will you be able to solve problems when they become more complex? At the training session, Mr. Byron Chen took the “binomial expansion” as an example to explain the pattern behind the formula, which allowed everyone to gain a deeper understanding of the significance of “inquiry-based learning”.

This is also the educational principle that CBFS adheres to. CBFS’s curriculum system takes national curriculum standards as its core, incorporates advanced international curriculum concepts and the IB’s course framework, and is characterized by space exploration STEAM. It is a fusion BeeMee Curriculum System (BCS). In their daily classes and lives, teachers cultivate children’s curiosity and drive them to learn actively through their interests and passion. At CBFS, learning is a lifelong journey for everyone, rooted in culture and heritage, looking to the world and the future, constantly surpassing themselves and achieving excellence.

In the AI era, education needs to place more emphasis on cultivating students’ personalized talents, practical abilities, cross-disciplinary knowledge, and heuristic teaching methods to better adapt to the needs of future society.

当前,经济发展不断催化新的国际格局,湖南省内国际教育市场需求逐渐增大。随着家长们对教育理念的认识逐渐深化,原先单一的升学考虑渐渐转向对个性化培育的追求,家长们更希望给孩子全人教育,以更好地适应未来社会,便将孩子送入国际化学校。而作为一名教师,选择一所国际化学校,也是选择自己的“道”,要遵循教育内在“之道”。

Currently, the continuous development of the economy is catalyzing a new international landscape, and the demand for international education in Hunan Province is gradually increasing. As parents become increasingly aware of educational philosophies and their focus shifts from solely pursuing academic excellence to pursuing personalized development, they hope to provide their children with a whole-person education to better adapt to future society. As a result, they are sending their children to international schools. As a teacher, choosing an international school is also choosing one's own "path" to follow the inherent "way" of education.


培训现场,陈校邀请在座的老师们从多维的角度去理解“道”的含义,去意会“教育”的本质,可以从历史的角度来认识,也可以从文学的方面去理解,还可以从美学原理去探求,或者从哲学体系的辩证法去思考……要成为一名优秀的教育者,需要“时常仰望星空”,打破自身的局限性,做正确的事情。

Mr. Byron Chen invited the teachers present to understand the meaning of "Dao" from multiple perspectives and to comprehend the essence of "education". This can be done by looking at history, understanding it through literature, exploring it through aesthetic principles, or contemplating it from the perspective of the dialectics of philosophy. To become an excellent educator, one needs to "often look up at the stars" and break through one's own limitations to do the right thing.

Optimize Methods

当已“明道”,便需“优术”。而作为一名优秀的教育者,不仅要有“一桶水”,更要成为“探路者”。要怀着对教育的敬畏之心、使命感和荣誉感,脚踏实地,完善自身专业知识,从而进一步去教导学生并乐在其中。

Once one has "understood the way," one needs to "improve one's skills." As an excellent educator, one must not only have a "bucket full of water," but also become a "pathfinder." With a deep reverence for education, a sense of mission, and a sense of pride, one must be down-to-earth and improve their professional knowledge, so as to further guide students and enjoy the process.

在完善学术教育的同时,教师还需要成为学生的心灵导师,帮助他们理解、关爱和尊重他人,身心均衡发展,点亮他们的“心灯”,培育全面发展且有个性的时代领跑者。

While improving academic education, teachers also need to become guides to students' hearts and souls, helping them understand, care for, and respect others, promoting their balanced development of body and soul. Lighting up their "inner lamp," we nurture well-rounded individuals with their own unique personalities who are leaders of the era.


如何从一名“教师”转化为一名“导师”?除了自身知识的储备,更需要能帮助学生发现问题、解决问题。在彼一米,核心教育观是以兴趣为导向、以学生为中心、以探究为基础、有指导的跨学科学习模式。而作为导师,则需要帮助学生们去寻找、去探究,平衡常规教育和兴趣驱动之间的学习内容,寻找到生命的价值和生活的意义。

How to transform from a "teacher" to a "mentor"? In addition to having sufficient knowledge, being able to help students identify and solve problems is crucial. "Shu" refers to abilities, knowledge, methods, strategies, and experience, as well as processes and strategies for solving practical problems. In the AI era, teachers need to continuously improve teaching methods, explore and accumulate practical teaching strategies in classroom teaching, as well as master "methodologies" based on advanced educational theories. They also need to continuously update their knowledge and skills in modern information technology, so that the Internet, big data, and AI can become loyal assistants, and continuously innovate to effectively achieve educational goals.


科技被人类创造,也为人类服务,不应让其禁锢我们的思维,成为我们的“对手”。新时代的教师在教学过程中要不断渗透创新意识,善于挑战,只有不断创新的教师,才能培育出符合时代要求的创新型学生。

Technology was created by humans and serves humans, and should not be allowed to imprison our minds and become our "opponents." Teachers in the new era should constantly infiltrate innovative consciousness in the teaching process and be good at challenging. Only teachers who are constantly innovative can cultivate innovative students who meet the requirements of the times.

无论是作为教育者本身,还是对孩子的培养,在做“正确的事情”的同时,更应该做“善良的事情”。

Whether as an educator or in the upbringing of children, while doing the right things, one should also do the kind things.


“是故才德全尽谓之圣人,才德兼亡谓之愚人,德胜才谓之君子,才胜德谓之小人。”人无德不立,每日“三省吾身”,欲做事先做人。

A person who possesses both ability and virtue is a saint; one who lacks both ability and virtue is a fool; one whose virtue exceeds ability is a gentleman; one whose ability exceeds virtue is a villain. Virtue is the foundation of character, which is more important than the ability. This requires a person to examine himself or herself every day.
