Although young in age, Estrella's ability to express herself, her communication skills, and independence have matured relatively quickly. While some of her peers are still agonizing over the ups and downs of each test score, Estrella has experienced much larger arenas. Her temperament and willpower have been honed far beyond that of the average child.
"I chose Living Word Suzhou School because my goal is to attend top universities in the UK's G5 and Ivy League schools in the United States. So, I need to study some international courses, and the school's bilingual teaching helps improve my language skills. Having a personalized schedule allows me to customize my courses. My most recent IELTS score was 6.5. If I want to aim for top universities, I need a score of 7.5-8, so I have to do better."
When teachers and classmates speak of her achievements, Estrella remains calm. In her mind, honors, achievements, and excitement are all related to equestrian sports. Falling off horses, repetitive and mundane training, compressed leisure time, and the anxiety of pursuing championships are all part of equestrian sports. Rather than focusing on winning or losing, she prefers to savor the feeling of competing alongside her horse.
Estrella is very clear about her future development direction:
"My plan is to compete in the National Games first, then the Asian Games, and finally represent the Chinese team at the Olympics and win medals."
Although the effort she puts in today may be tough, it's all a gift for her future. Sitting on horseback, she understands that while her horse provides support, like anyone else, she must accumulate small steps to achieve great distances.
