遇见科学，预见未来 Meet Science，Foresee Future

科学的发展无止境，人类的探索无尽头。为了加强科学技术普及教育，提高学生的科技素养，增强其创新精神和实践能力，2023年10月13日，我校初中部科学组组织全体学生前往广东科学中心，举办以“遇见科学，预见未来”为主题的科学实践活动。

The development of science is endless, and the exploration of human beings is endless. In order to strengthen the popularization of science and technology education, improve students' scientific and technological literacy, and enhance their innovative spirit and practical ability, Science department of GIMSH, ZWIE organized all students to visit the Guangdong Science Center joining in a science and technology field trip themed "Meet Science, Foresee Future" on October 13, 2023.

外出科学实践活动，变化的是科学探究地点，不变的是同学们对科学的热情。老师们说明活动目的，强调完注意事项后，同学们乘坐快乐大巴，愉快地出行。

For the Science field trip, what changes is the location of science inquiry, but what remains constant is the students’ passion for science. After explaining the purpose of the activity and emphasizing the precautions, the students took the happy buses and set off joyfully.

课程体检：老师讲解屠呦呦与青蒿素提取研究的故事，同学们感受科学家的严谨态度和探索精神。

Science course experience: The teacher explained the story of Tu Youyou and her research on the extraction of artemisinin, and the students experienced the rigorous attitude and exploratory spirit of scientists.

在老师的指导下，同学们将黄花蒿研磨成粉末备用。

Under the guidance of the teacher, the students ground Artemisia annua into powder for later use.

实验一 Experiment 1

学生小组讨论得出实验的步骤和注意事项后，用“绞汁法”进行青蒿素的提取探究。

After the student groups discussed and determined the steps and precautions of the experiment, they explored the extraction of artemisinin using the “juicing method”.

学生利用“萃取法”，高效提取青蒿素。

Students use the “extraction method” to efficiently extract artemisinin.

实验三 Experiment 3

老师引导学生进行青蒿素定性分析与对比实验，选择提取青蒿素的最优方案。

The teacher guides the students to conduct qualitative analysis and comparison experiments of artemisinin, and to select the best plan for extracting artemisinin.

学生利用所学知识，制作防疫驱蚊中药包。

Using the knowledge they have learned, the students make traditional Chinese medicine bags for epidemic prevention and mosquito repellent.

午餐后，学生上二楼参观科学中心主题馆。

After lunch, the students went upstairs to visit the theme hall of the Science Center.

本次研学活动在同学们依依不舍的目光中画上了圆满的句号。此次活动，不仅可以激发学生对科学的兴趣，提升学生的动手能力和实践能力，更让学生了解到物理、化学、生物等多个领域的科学知识和最新的科学发展，拓展学生的国际视野。往后，我校科学组定会引导我们的学生在科学的道路上，砥砺奋进，用科学报国，创造更美好的未来！

This study tour activity came to a successful conclusion under the reluctant gaze of the students. This activity not only stimulates students’ interest in science, enhances their hands-on and practical abilities, but also allows students to understand the scientific knowledge and the latest scientific developments in various fields such as physics, chemistry, and biology, and expands students’ international vision. In the future, the science team of our school will surely guide our students to forge ahead on the road of science, work hard, and serve the country with science, creating a better future!
