As an International Baccalaureate school, we value cultural awareness and the importance of preserving and celebrating diverse cultural traditions. By doing so, students are able to honour the rich history and heritage of different communities. In addition, cultural traditions lay a foundation for social cohesion and help build strong and resilient communities, making it vital to continue passing on cultural traditions to future generations to preserve cultural heritage and promote mutual understanding and respect.

作为一所IB学校,我们重视文化意识以及保护和颂扬多元文化传统的重要性。学生们能够尊重不同社区的历史和遗产。此外,文化传统是社会凝聚力的基础,有助于建立强大和有复原力的社区,因此,将文化传统传承给子孙后代、保护文化遗产、促进相互理解和尊重至关重要。



Learning about different cultures is an essential part of a student's academic journey and offers numerous benefits beyond the classroom. By gaining an understanding of cultural traditions, students can develop empathy, respect, and tolerance towards people from different backgrounds. This newfound knowledge can also help them to appreciate diversity and build stronger relationships with their peers, teachers, and colleagues. Moreover, learning about different cultures can provide students with a broader perspective on global issues, which is highly beneficial when pursuing careers in fields that require a global outlook.

了解不同的文化是学生学习之旅的重要组成部分,并且在课堂之外提供了许多好处。通过了解文化传统,学生可以培养同情心、尊重和宽容,去对待不同背景的人。这些新知识可以帮助他们欣赏多样性,并与同龄人、老师和同事建立更牢固的关系。此外,学习不同的文化为学生提供一个更广阔的视角来看待全球问题,这对在需要全球视野的领域追求事业是非常有益的。



Recently, on November 9th, our Grade 6 students were invited to participate in a youth intangible cultural research and exchange event titled “Culture Inheritance: Symbolic Transfer of Wisdom and Knowledge Across Generations” organised by the Gaobu government. The event aimed to facilitate communication and integration among young individuals by providing them with the unique opportunity to learn about the production of local intangible cultural food in Gaobu from the experienced elders who have diligently kept this tradition alive. 

11月9日,我校六年级学生受邀参加了高埗政府举办的“大手牵小手,文化共传承”莞港澳台青少年非物质文化研究交流活动。活动的目的是通过沉浸式体验高埗本土非遗美食制作技艺,促进莞港澳台青少年交流交融。





At the event, Huang Ganlin, the intangible cultural inheritor, provided a detailed explanation and demonstration of the production techniques involved in making Xiansha fishball. The students were fully engaged, observing closely and gaining hands-on experience with the production techniques of an important intangible cultural heritage. This event provided the students with a unique opportunity to learn about cultural traditions and promote cultural heritage and mutual understanding.


活动在冼沙鱼丸非物质文化遗产体验基地举行,非遗传承人黄淦林为学生们详细讲解和示范了冼沙鱼丸的制作技艺。学生们聚精会神地观看,并动手体验非物质文化遗产的制作工艺。




"Today, I felt very excited to make Xiansha fish balls with an intangible cultural inheritor. This gave me a deeper understanding of Gaobu's intangible cultural heritage,” said Joyce.

Joyce说:“今天跟着非遗传承人一起动手制作冼沙鱼丸,内心感到非常激动,这让我对高埗的非遗文化有了更深了解。”


"I learned a lot from this outing. I was very happy to learn about the production process of fish balls in Xiansha and feel the charm of Chinese intangible cultural heritage up close,” said May.

May说:“参加这一次研学活动收获满满,很高兴能了解到冼沙鱼丸的制作过程,近距离感受中国非遗文化的魅力。”
