In the classroom, students regularly attend CAIG courses (Careers Advice information and Guidance), Mr. Beinor and Mr. Wells will provide consulting services for Y11 and Y12 parents and students throughout the year to discuss college application planning.
Outside the classroom, with the help of parent resources, the school launched the "Beacon Project" to help students understand different industries and career development situations, to clarify their career aspirations and start planning for further studies as early as possible.
The school introduces a series of competitions that are highly recognized by universities, such as the World Scholars Cup, ASDAN Business simulation maths challenge Competition, Singapore International Youth Piano Competition, and a series of academic, artistic and sports competitions to help students succeed in various competitions and Improve their skills and background.

What is Pre-Prep’s Curriculum? Do we have a foreign teacher? Is it bilingual teaching?
Harrow Haikou Pre-Prep integrates leading British teaching methods into regular teaching to improve the efficiency of language and knowledge learning. Last year, the Pre-Prep innovatively introduced the RWI phonics course, and students read many books specially written by Oxford Press. With the intensity of one book per week, it quickly improves students' pronunciation and spelling.
In addition, this year, the Pre-Prep began to use Talk for Writing (English story teaching method) to further guide children from reading to completing independent writing. The Oracy teaching method guides students to learn knowledge through a large number of oral expressions to improve expression ability and knowledge utilization.

What is the key curriculum of Upper School? How to support children's personalised growth and development?
Students in Y6-Y10 (G5-G9) study CNC compulsory courses with additional British curriculum content, while students in Y11 - Y12 (G10-G11) are focusing on IGCSE and A-Level programme.
As a top internationalised school, Harrow Haikou has been recognised by multiple international authoritative institutions.
First of all, the school has obtained CAIE (Cambridge International Assessment) certification, so that our students can study and take examination from CAIE.
Secondly, being authorised for the Duke of Edinburgh International Award means students can develop their character outside of the classroom, and have real evidence to show.
In addition, this school year we have also obtained the certification as an International Computer License (ICDL) examination center. Senior students have deepened their computer application skills by participating in ICDL courses, allowing them to use Windows, the Internet, word processing, spreadsheets and python Programming more effectively.

All classes in Early Years are taught in English? What curriculum system is adopted?
The LLC is a bilingual curriculum in both Chinese and English. In addition to Homeroom expats, each class is equipped with one Chinese teacher, and all teachers hold bachelor's or master's degrees.
We have a curriculum which has been developed over a two-year period of research driven by leading educators from around the world. The Little Lions Curriculum is aspirational and challenging, designed to embody the elements of excellence and values. It is a forward-looking ambitious curriculum that enriches the lives of children and prepares them for the future as well-informed, creative, and responsible citizens prepared for responsible leadership.
The curriculum is cross-referenced against the EYFS (UK), the Ministry of Education Guidelines for Children aged 3-6 (China), and the Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide (Hong Kong), and goes beyond each of them. It is the only curriculum for young children to include specific areas on areas such as metacognition, sustainability digital knowledge and awareness, cultural identity, heritage, and diversity. What is the relationship between Harrow Haikou & Harrow UK?
Harrow Haikou has the same origin as Harrow School in the UK and maintains close ties.
Every year, the education supervision and inspection team from Harrow UK and AISL Harrow based in Hong Kong, visits Harrow Haikou to closely monitor and provide professional guidance on the teaching quality and school operations of the Harrow Haikou. At the same time, the evaluation report provides schools with an evaluation of education standards and quality, advising schools where improve to provide students with better education.
In addition, Mr. McGregor, the former Housemaster who has taught at Harrow UK for more than 30 years, visited Harrow Haikou and met with parents, sharing the Harrow boarding system that benefits students for life. What is the concept of LiDe Curriculum?
Based on the growth characteristics of students at different stage, Harrow has created a curriculum system that includes three parts: Early Years international Curriculum, teaching philosophy for the Chinese nine-year compulsory education Curriculum, and a high school international Curriculum. This curriculum system focuses on step-by-step progress and builds a rich and coherent personal growth context for students, ensuring the integrity of students' bilingual education and the acquisition of bilingual-level cross-cultural abilities.
When students master English proficiency, mother-tongue teaching in international schools is still important to students' bilingual development.
In Upper School, in addition to IGCSE and A-level courses, LiDe Curriculum also provides an approach to deliver Chinese, geography, history, drama and other courses. Students can choose suitable Chinese courses based on their own abilities and future development directions to strengthen students' Chinese cultural foundation and understanding. knowledge, as well as students’ own development of critical thinking and research skills.
Does Harrow Haikou have boarding? How to choose boarding for my child?
Students in Y6 and above can apply for boarding. Boarding students can receive academic tutoring from all boarding teachers including foreign teachers, and can also participate in a variety of activities to comprehensively improve their English, physical fitness and social skills.
To meet the needs of different families, in addition to the regular 5-day and 7-day boarding choices, we have also designed a flexible boarding which is that students can apply for 1 to 2 days of boarding. It not only allows students to experience boarding life, but also meets the needs of families who cannot pick up and drop off in a short time.
If my child’s English level cannot keep up with Harrow English lesson. How should I prepare ?
Parents don't need to worry too much about this. Each class from early years to Pre-Prep school will be assigned a Chinese teaching assistant, and Upper school students will be assigned a subject teaching assistant for key subjects to help students who cannot keep up with the teaching progress to improve their English. At Upper School, we conduct stratified teaching of many subjects according to the students' language levels and academic abilities, and ensure that the academic support needs of different students are taken into account through small class differentiated teaching.
At the Pre-Prep stage, we conduct RWI phonics teaching, Talk for writing, library lessons and other efficient methods to help students improve their English in an all-round way.

This year, students at Harrow Haikou specially designed 4 wish cards. The Ritz-Carlton, invited 31 children from the Golden Children's Rehabilitation Training Center for Mental Retardation (Autism) to write down their New Year's wishes. The collected wish cards will be hung on the hotel's Christmas tree. All guests can send love and warmth to these "children of the stars" by claiming their wishes.
