沐浴着春日暖阳，OCIS迎来正式开学日。那些青春洋溢的少年终于踏入校门，正式展开OCIS社区的美好校园生活。
The junior exuberant OCIS members set feet on the premise, back to normal school life officially started.
经过充实的假期和漫长的等待，我们又相聚在熟悉的校园，欢迎新同学的加入，聆听新学期的要求和期许。每一次开学典礼都是美好校园生活的开始与见证。
After fully rested holiday and several exhausting days of waiting, members gathered in the auditorium for reunion and welcoming the onboard of new students. They witnessed the commencement of a new school year, and to hear the expectations and aspirations.
总校长余秀林女士为大家带来了新学期的祝福与期许。她与大家分享了假期阅读蔡磊《相信》这本书的体会，鼓励每位同学都能敬畏时间与生命，相信，努力之后的可能；相信，生命之上的意义；相信，相信的力量！
Ms. Yu Xiulin, the General Principal, has brought blessings and expectations for the new semester to everyone. She shared her experience of reading Cai Lei's book "Believe" during the holiday. She encouraged every student to respect time and life, to believe in the outcomes after hard work, meaning above life, and the power in believing.
Robert校长也为大家带来新学期的祝福，他表示，龙象征着力量、威严、尊贵、智慧和希望，它在中国传统文化中占据着重要的地位。龙年被认为是一个繁荣昌盛、充满机遇的年份，同时意味着新的开始和挑战，是一个实现梦想和目标的好时机。他希望OCIS每个社区成员的行动都应符合学校的发展目标和使命宣言，都能在新的一年积极主动投入到学习之中，并树立坚定的目标，为之付出持之以恒的努力。
Principal Robert also brought blessings for the new semester, stating that the Loong symbolizes strength, majesty, nobility, wisdom, and hope, and occupies an important position in traditional Chinese culture. The Year of the Loong is considered to be a year of prosperity and opportunities. It also means a new start and challenge. It is a good time to realize dreams and goals. We hope that every member of the OCIS community's actions align with the school's development goals and mission statement, and that they can actively engage in learning in the new year. They are expected to establish solid learning objectives and to make persistent efforts towards achieving them.
开学第一天，老师和孩子们难掩相见的喜悦，课堂上自然、流畅的互动，积极主动的发言，热烈、专业的探讨，让每一个人都分外珍惜。
On this first day of school, teachers and students share the joy of reunion. Everyone for sure cherish the smooth interactions, the intuitive utterances, and heated discussions which only face to face learning could bring.
学生们的回归让OCIS校园焕发生机，正如老师们所言，学习是一场合作，OCIS不仅仅崇尚学业的成功，也致力于发展学生的身体和心智，来打造全面发展的世界公民。我们的学生沉浸在中西方融汇的文化中，并终将在世界的舞台上绽放光彩。
Students return made the campus “come to life”. As teachers often say, in OCIS learning is cooperative. At OCIS we celebrate academic success as well as developing their mind and body. Our aim is to nurture well-rounded global citizens. Our students are immersed in Chinese and Western cultures to prepare them to take their place in China and the world.
