On January 30th, 2025 (the second day of the Chinese Lunar New Year), the University of Cambridge offers finally came out. In the very afternoon, we were so proud to hear the news that one of our MIS students received an offer from Cambridge, marking the beginning of a new journey of pursuing dreams with outstanding academic achievements during the Spring Festival.
In addition to the exciting news of the Cambridge offer, our graduates this year have also received nearly 60 offers from many prestigious universities, including Imperial College London, University College London, The University of Manchester, University of Bristol, University of Leeds, University of Melbourne, and The University of Warwick, once again setting a new record for top-tier university admissions since the school's establishment. This not only serves as a positive affirmation of the academic achievements of MIS students but also as the best interpretation of how the MIS's holistic education brings out excellent academic outcomes.
What's worth mentioning is that, Royal Mile Academy student Zou's Cambridge offer (Mathematics) marks the first Cambridgeoffer in the school history in its seven-year journey.
Gao Xu, Dean of Royal Mile Academy in MIS, stated that MIS pursues academic excellence and operates with a warm and caring approach, steadily progressing each year. By adopting a methodical and diligent approach, the school builds on the nearly 200-year-old tradition of British private schools, makes localized improvements, and systematically establishes a curriculum system suitable for Chinese students, focusing diligently on academics. Last year's was the first year of RM students entering universities, with each student securing a place at a G5 university. Now this year we have made a breakthrough with a Cambridge offer, which shows that MIS is making steady progress.
The offer list shows that students have not only achieved excellent academic results but have also been admitted to a diverse range of majors, covering both arts and sciences. The Class of 2025's admitted majors include, but are not limited to, Mathematics, International Relations, Biochemistry, Education, and Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Beyond traditional academic fields, MIS students have also repeatedly received recognition from renowned art universities globally, with a variety of majors, including Fashion Management at The University of Manchester and Design at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
The impressive academic outcomes are attributed to the comprehensive planning and practice of the teaching and guidance teachers at MIS. With a teaching team that is both rooted in China and possesses an international perspective, they can quickly tailor goals and learning methods to different students' learning habits, helping them adapt to overseas study in advance. Moreover, they enable students to integrate Eastern and Western cultures and acquire knowledge joyfully in a more flexible manner.
