因为疫情,幼儿园再一次延迟开学,又给了家长们带来了难题。即使孩子们没有回到校园,国王也心系每位孩子的成长。


国王学校口碑极高的“Parent Workshop 家长工作坊”,由幼儿园外方园长Sian Evans主讲。该项目在上个学期开展以来,家长收益良多,给予了高度的关注和参与。原只为在校家长定期提供的线下工作坊,受到疫情影响,国王将校内优质资源免费延申到校外,现转为线上讲座,免费向大众开放,周四定期举行。


希望在疫情期间,助力每个家庭获得智慧又实用的家庭教育方法,共同渡过艰难时刻,实现家校共育!

国王幼儿园外方园长

来自教育世家的她,同样是教育学出身,在英国获得了本科学位后又到英国和加拿大深造,获得教师资格证和领导管理证书。她曾在北京、加拿大和英国的国际学校任教,并在马来西亚的知名国际学校担任领导岗位,在教育行业深耕25年,特别是在幼儿早期教育方面,有着独特的教育方式和理念,她带着自己的“超级课程”,加入国王学校,给大家带来新知与惊喜。

Sian Evans

Co-Head of Pre-Prep


Sian has dedicated herself to the education of young children for 25 years. She has a vast amount of experience in Primary and Early Years from previous leadership roles in Malaysia and Beijing, as well as teaching in Canada and the UK. She was brought up in a family of educators. Her first degree was in Primary Education from the UK which she supplemented with further teaching and leadership qualifications from both the UK and Canada. She is currently studying for a Master's degree in mental health and well-being of children. Her educational pedagogy focuses on individual children and brings with it what she calls the "super curriculum" which contains surprises for everyone.

Learning Through Play


  • Children are naturally curious and love playing. Play-based learning programmes use their motivation to play as the foundation of learning.


  • Instead of the ordinary teacher-student instruction method, creative and playful methods help learners explore, experiment, and understand concepts.

Talk For Writing (T4W)


  • Talk for Writing is an engaging teaching framework developed by Pie Corbett, supported by Julia Strong. It is powerful because it is based on the principles of how children learn.

Children Need Families


  • Children have an innate need to be close to their parents or a consistent caregiver. This connection is usually achieved when a child is loved, cared for and protected by one or more adult in a family unit.


  • It is the most basic ingredient for raising a happy, healthy and confident child. Every member has an important role in the development of a healthy (mind, body and soul) child.

  • One of the primary goals in early care and education is to help children develop a positive self-concept and a love of learning.


  • Smooth transitions can be an integral part of helping a child adjust to and make the most of a new situation. A new teacher and/or a new classroom should be an exciting event, not one of fear, concern, or apprehension.
