Adolescence is a crucial period in students' development. In order to enhance students' understanding of physical and mental health during adolescence, cultivate self-protection awareness and abilities, and guide classmates to embrace youth and overcome confusion, the school conducted two special lectures on "Cherishing Youth and Protecting Oneself" for all sixth to eighth-grade students on October 31st in the first-floor conference room of the administrative building. The lectures were presented by Dr. Song Wei from the Health Clinic of Huamei Foreign Language School in Luohu District, Shenzhen.

Dr. Song, with warm and caring words and real, vivid examples, provided explanations on topics such as the physical and psychological characteristics of girls during adolescence, interactions with the opposite sex during this period, and knowledge about preventing sexual abuse. This allowed students to understand the importance of self-protection more intuitively and profoundly. It also helped girls understand how to better protect themselves during their beautiful adolescent years, enabling them to study happily and grow healthily.

Similarly, after the girls' special lecture, Dr. Song focused on the physical and psychological development of boys during adolescence. This aimed to make boys aware of hygiene and health during adolescence, encouraging them to take care of themselves and become true young men.

This series of activities related to adolescence is an important part of our school's psychological health counseling work. At each stage of a young person's growth, psychological changes will impact their healthy development. We believe that through these activities, students will better understand themselves, successfully go through their adolescence, and grow up happily.
