这是一位华朗国际课程G1新生郑榕昕同学发出的感叹。

This is the exclamation of G1 student, Rain.

就在十分钟前，郑榕昕同学刚刚艰难地穿过了一条布满翠竹并且坡度接近七十度的狭长山林小道。

Just ten minutes ago, Rain had struggled to cross a long and narrow trail filled with bamboos and with an incline of nearly 70 degrees. 

团队的成员和老师都在相互搀扶下有惊无险地通过了陡坡，郑榕昕依然”收获”了一屁股的黄泥，阴雨绵绵的天气也打湿了他全身的装备。

While the team members and teachers made it through the steep slope with a little help from each other, Rain was still covered in mud, and his gear was wet from the rainy weather. 

虽然形象略显狼狈，但脚步却走得更加坚定。

Although his image was a bit messy, his steps were more determined.

郑榕昕同学在入学的第一周就申请了参加爱丁堡国际公爵奖的铜奖项目，就在上周末，成功完成了三天两夜的练习+正式户外探险项目的挑战，并且已然开始期待下一次的户外探险之旅。

Rain applied to take part in the Bronze Award program of the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award in his first week of schooling, and just last weekend, successfully completed the three-day, two-night practice + formal Outdoor Adventure Program challenge and is already looking forward to his next Outdoor Adventure trip.

爱丁堡公爵国际奖是一个培育青少年领导力的全球性发展计划，该项目共有四大实践主题：技能发展、志愿服务、体育活动和户外探索。

The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is a global leadership development program for young people with four practical themes: skills development, volunteering, physical activity, and outdoor exploration.

We always encourage our students to engage in learning 'outside the classroom,' and the Duke of Edinburgh's Award fits well with this concept of learning outside the classroom.

One of the special features of the Outdoor Discovery Challenge is the need to complete the journey in a self-sufficient manner as a team to achieve the goals set by the team in advance.

Participation in the DofE Award is also a personal challenge without having to compete with others; it motivates young people to push their personal boundaries, self-discover, challenge and improve themselves, and recognize what they have achieved.

在本次户外探索出发前，学生们首先学习了帐篷搭建、地图和指北针使用、行程规划、LNT（Leave No Trace）、烹饪操作、安全管理等知识。

Before setting off on this outdoor exploration, students first learned about tent pitching, map and compass use, trip planning, LNT (Leave No Trace), cooking operations, and safety management.

让学生能在安全合适的环境中探索和成长，学生们只能通过纸质地图、指北针、路牌等最基础的工具来为团队导航，去完成它们自己规划好的路线。

Enabling students to explore and grow in a safe and appropriate environment, students were only able to navigate the group through the most basic tools such as paper maps, compasses, and road signs to complete their own planned routes.
