友谊周拉开帷幕!

我们的目标是通过友谊周活动

营造一个互助的环境,

让学生主动向同伴伸出援手。

在我们国际化、多元化的学生群体中,

培养哈罗学子的社区合作意识、

同理心以及领导力,

破除对话互信的障碍。

为了帮助学生们真正理解“互助”的意义,

身体力行友爱与互助,我们进行了

为期一周的哈罗深圳友谊周活动!

The week starting 27th November 2023 

witnessed the start of the fourth 

annual Harrow Fellowship Week.

Our goal for Fellowship Week is 

to create a supportive environment 

in which students feel empowered 

to reach out to their peers.

Our key objectives include fostering 

a sense of community, breaking down 

the barriers surrounding mental health 

conversations, and nurturing empathy 

and leadership among our diverse student body.

In order to start conversations about 

what Fellowship means to us and 

how we can be better fellow,

we have been running Fellowship Week!

中学部 -- Are You Okay? (RUOK)

在充满学业压力、生活挑战以及面对未知的经历中,我们相信学生们有必要聚到一起,问一个简单而有力的问题: ”你还好吗?“(RUOK)

在整个友谊周期间,学生大使们主持了分享会、辅导沙龙和礼堂集会等活动,目的是让学生思考他们的个人行为将如何帮助建立一个更安全、更快乐的校园环境。

以“RUOK”为主题,学生大使们在学校礼堂为我们奉献了一场沉浸式的戏剧表演。他们还合作创作了一首歌曲“RUOK”,期望给学生们带来互助和友谊的精神!


 


“在演出过程中,我们要传播的主要理念是,我们如何运用 RUOK 四项程序和友谊的核心价值观来支持我们的伙伴。”

Upper School -- Are You Okay? (RUOK)

Amidst academic pressures, the challenges of school life, and the experiences of being new, we believe it's essential for students to come together and ask a simple yet powerful question: "Are you okay?" (RUOK)


Throughout the week, there will be student-led assemblies, adapted Life Skills, and Tutor Time designed to encourage students to consider how their individual acts of fellowship contribute to a safer and happier school environment.

Under the theme "RUOK", the student ambassadors dedicated an immersive theatrical performance to us in the auditorium. They also co-wrote a song "RUOK", hoping to bring the spirit of fellowship and friendship to the students!


 

“During our performance we want to spread the main message of how we can support out fellows by applying the RUOK four procedures and the core values of fellowship.”

I love the stage because it is where I feel most like myself, so being able to share something as important as the RUOK message in an artistic form, makes the message even more impactful for me and everyone else in that room.”

"Their leadership transcends the confines of Life Skills classes and Auditorium assemblies, seeping into every corner and stairwell of the school. The enduring change sparked by this Fellowship Week is driven by the commitment and energy of our wonderful senior House Captains and Fellowship Ambassadors. I am grateful for their support in this project."

小学部 / F.I.S.H


为了帮助小学生记住互助的故事和精神,我们创建了一个缩写词:FISH。


F – friendship 代表互助

I - inclusiveness 代表包容

S - supportiveness 代表支持

H - humility 代表谦和


进而,老师们创作了“互助的鱼芬恩”的故事,教给孩子们什么是互助,以及该如何互助?



在友谊周中,小学部的学生大使们精神抖擞,整装待发,带领着同学们一起做着互助小游戏,在玩乐中学习互助、共同成长!

Lower Schoo/ F.I.S.H


To help students in Lower School remember the LS story and fellowship, we created an acronym:


F – friendship 

I - inclusiveness 

S - supportiveness 

H - humility 


In Lower School, students are developing their fellowship knowledge and skills based on a story about Finn the Fellowship Fish.



Across the week, students participated in fun and exciting F.I.S.H activities led by Pre-Prep Fellowship Ambassadors. It has been incredible seeing students' understanding and ability to show fellowship developed by our very own fellowship ambassador students.

"Fellowship among primary-aged students holds paramount significance in fostering social development, emotional well-being, and a positive learning environment. Through fellowship, children cultivate essential interpersonal skills like communication, cooperation, and empathy. Social interactions during this formative period contribute to the development of a sense of belonging and mutual support, mitigating feelings of isolation."
