ISA Insight | 如何帮助孩子摆脱假期综合征?

In order to help students better adjust their learning status and adapt to the pace of campus life, we specially invited Mr. Adam Klarfeld, Co-Director of ISA Wuhan Student Development Centre to share with you how to get rid of holiday syndrome, smooth transition and establish an independent learning state.


新学期伊始,为了帮助同学们更好的调整学习状态,适应校园生活节奏,武汉爱莎园区学生发展中心外方联席总监Adam老师与大家分享如何摆脱假期综合症,顺利过渡并建立自主学习状态。





Coming back to school after a long two-month vacation is no easy task. It takes a heavy toll on all of those involved including students, teachers, as well as any school staff.


两个月的假期倏然划过,再次返回到校园充实的学习生活中,相信爱莎社区中的每个人都需要重新调节一下自己的节奏。



The two most difficult aspects of this re-integration into the school life are the aspects of mental health and cultivating good habits. In both cases, establishing a good routine of healthy activities can help restore the balance in everyone’s life. Below are some tips for adjusting to school life.


重新融入校园生活最需要注重的两方面是心理健康培养良好的习惯。从这两方面着手,可以极大程度的帮助大家恢复到平衡的校园生活状态。接下来给大家介绍一些适应学校生活的小诀窍。



01 与激励自己人在一起

Surround yourself with people that inspire you




We all want to make friends in school. We want to be part of a group and have a sense of belonging. The choices we make in friends can have an effect on how we feel about ourselves. If you want to be better in school, surround yourself with students who do well in school. If you want to speak better English, Chinese, or any other language, surround yourself with those who speak that language outside of class. This includes other aspects of life such as reading, exercising, clubs, and other self-improving activities. When you feel like you are improving yourself, you feel better about yourself.


我们都想在学校交朋友,想成为团队的一员,获得归属感。而我们对朋友的选择会影响我们对自我的感知。如果你想更好的适应学校生活,可以多向周围适应的比较好的同学请教;如果你想说更流利的英语、中文或任何其他语言,请与那些经常使用这些语言的同学多相处。这些时刻包括生活的多方面,比如阅读、锻炼、参加社团和一些自我提升的活动。当你感觉自己在提升,你就会对自己更加满意。



02 知道什么时候“停下来”

Know when to ‘switch off’



You might have access to digital devices through your school or you might have a lot of work on your mind. However, some things are scheduled in the day for you to switch off. School mealtimes and breaks are a great place to unwind, eat, and enjoy conversations with your friends. Scheduling a little time away from your digital devices and schoolwork is not only good for your mental health, but the fresh mindset can also lead to solutions that you couldn’t find before you ‘switched off’.


你可能需要用学校电脑学习与工作,同时心里还想着很多其他未处理的事。但是,请在一天中让自己可以“停下来”一小会。学校用餐时间和休息时间是放松、吃东西和享受与朋友交谈的好机会。安排一点时间远离你的电脑和作业不仅有助健康,这种休闲的心态也能让你在应对问题时,找到之前意想不到的解决方案。



03 早睡早起

Early to bed and early to rise



Lack of sleep and fatigue are big contributing factors to stress in life. The lack of sleep makes imapct to young children's body, the toll on mental health and stress is significant in their future growth. By sleeping, you allow your body and mind to process all of the knowledge and new experiences that you acquired throughout the day. Also, you can accomplish more in the day when you wake up early and this will give you that self-improvement feeling that was referred to previously.


睡眠不足和疲劳是造成生活压力的重要因素。在青少年时期缺乏充足的睡眠,对孩子的心理健康和压力的损害不容小觑。睡觉可以让你的身体和精神有能量处理一整天获取到的知识和新体验。同时,早起能完成更多工作,能给人带来自我提升的充实感。



04 积极向他人求助和沟通

Reach out if needed and talk to someone



There are more things you can do to improve your mental health and adjust to the pressures of school-life again. Most importantly, if you are having trouble dealing with the stress, you can always reach out to a staff member or one of our school counselors who specialize in mental wellness. Please remember you are never alone. We are all here for you.


在学校,你可以做更多的事情来改善心理健康,适应学校生活的压力。最重要的是,如果你遇到自己无法排解的压力,请随时联系学校的教职人员或者心理咨询师。在成长的道路上,你永远不是一个人,我们会一直在你身边。
