实验课、科学活动、知识竞赛、创新挑战赛、社团嘉年华、社区设计、音乐会、单元学习、体育友谊赛、艺术绘画展、学科项目展……

每年毕业季，我们都会梳理这届学生过往的精彩，制作他们的专属视频。从无数素材中剪辑出那些日常的记忆，来记录同学们潜移默化的成长。

“成长”总是毕业逃不开的话题。

吴亦桐的父亲对此深有感触。在毕业典礼上他回忆孩子小时候曾天真地问他：“爸爸，骄傲这东西好吃吗？”而今，面对学校取得的成绩，面对孩子的成长，他可以骄傲地说：“当然好吃，这不仅让人由内而外地自信，更是今后持续努力的发动机。”

2021年的初秋，孩子们初入校园时的模样还在崔主任脑海中，2024年的盛夏，当初懵懂的孩子已成长为风华正茂的少年，为校区带来了无数青春活力。

Bright summer solstice sunshine and blue skies mirrored the energy and excitement on campus as the BRES Class of 2024 and their families gathered for their graduation ceremony on 21 June.

It was a moving ceremony, with inspiring speeches and memorable video highlights that captured our graduates’ journeys here at BRES.

In his opening speech, Mr. Wang Shengtao, the Executive Principal of BRES Junior High School, said that "time has whizzed by, and you have all grown from curious, naive kids to promising young people with ideas and ideals in your heads and commitment and responsibility in your hearts. Every success and every effort has made you stronger and more confident. I believe that the independent thinking and problem solving skills you have developed through your participation in the various opportunities offered at BRES will be valuable assets in your future lives. Every little improvement you have made and every insightful word I have heard from you has made me so proud. You're all well named “Royal Students”!

The school leadership, Mr. Cen Jianjun, BRS Campus Chief Supervisor, encouraged our students that "no matter what you choose for your future, please don't give up the choice of international education easily, which is a bright road full of hope. With the growing strength of China's comprehensive state power, especially with the success of the Belt and Road Initiative, our country also needs more high-quality talents who must have international perspectives and the competence to succeed in the global arena".

Cui Peng, Year leader of Grade 9, fondly counted the students' growth over the past three years, and put forward three expectations for them. He hopes that they will have a sense of responsibility, a spirit of exploration, learn to respect as well as embrace the concept of multiculturalism, all of which will lay a solid foundation for their future academic studies.

Our distinguished parent representative, Mr. Wu Zuoxiao, expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to attend the ceremony and his gratitude to the school for nurturing his child over the years. Mr. Wu also expressed his pride and congratulated the Grade 12 students on their success in college admissions. He hoped that in the future our students would be bold to explore, find their interests and become the best version of themselves.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was the presentation of the graduating class' gift to their alma mater. Four seniors representing the Class of 2024 brought a blockcore football jersey, with the blue and pink representing youthful vitality and the football element representing the spirit of unity and hard work. It is remarkable that these junior high school students are so bold at such a young age. To prepare a gift for their alma mater, they travelled to Hangzhou, hundreds of kilometres from Beijing, with a passion to learn first-hand and have now launched their own clothing brand.

Outstanding graduate representative Sun Zhuoran expressed her gratitude to the school for the education she has received. Over the past three years, she has grown in confidence and has risen to become the president of the student union. Like Sun Zhuoran, students at BRES are encouraged to enhance their skills and competencies by participating in various co-curricular activities, which both add a dimension to their academic studies and accumulate valuable assets for their holistic development.

To close the ceremony, Mr. Wang Guangfa, Chief Principal of BRS, shared his perspective on the ever-changing situation at home and abroad, and his confidence in BRS education, which not only focuses on imparting knowledge, but also has the foresight to plan for the next ten or even twenty years. He encouraged our graduates to continue to work hard, remain curious and be bold in their explorations, as they will soon enter a more challenging phase of learning and strive for greater academic success and personal growth. Principal Wang also affirmed that in the future, our education will better prepare all Royal students not only to realise their own ideals, but also to play a role in building our country.

As they formally close one chapter of their junior high academic education, the Class of 2024 will carry the bright light of junior high school with them, inspiring new peers around them. We can't wait to see what amazing achievements you will make in the next stage of your lives. Jiayou, Class of 2024!
