Empower X:

There is no single definition of a student in Aidi's AP Program.
Some challenge themselves with multiple AP courses. Some apply artificial intelligence to international service initiatives. Others bring art into rural classrooms. While their journeys are different, they are united by the same educational philosophy: every student deserves the opportunity to thrive.
As a key part of Aidi's international curriculum, the AP Program places students at the center of learning, offering personalized pathways that reflect each student's interests, strengths, and aspirations.
Over the years, Aidi has built a comprehensive educational model around its AP Program, combining academic excellence with personalized growth. Outstanding AP results, a flexible curriculum, innovative teaching, expert college counseling, and authentic learning experiences empower students to reach their full potential.
Academic Achievement
Record AP Performance
Aidi students reached another milestone in the 2026 AP examinations. A total of 83 students completed 178 AP exams, achieving a 44% perfect-score rate, an 82% rate of scores of 4 or above, and an overall pass rate of 96.25% for scores of 3 or higher. All three indicators reached record highs, reflecting the consistently high academic standards of students in Aidi's AP Program.
Students took examinations in 21 AP subjects spanning STEM, the humanities, social sciences, and the arts. Sixteen subjects achieved a 100% pass rate. Every subject outperformed the global average, while the average scores in 20 subjects exceeded worldwide benchmarks.
These results demonstrate the balanced strength of Aidi's AP curriculum. Whether students are passionate about science, drawn to the humanities, or inspired by the arts, they are encouraged to pursue excellence in the disciplines that best match their interests and ambitions.
Official Recognition of Merit
Outstanding AP performance has also earned official recognition from the College Board. In 2026, 33 students received AP Scholar Awards, including 22 AP Scholars with Distinction.
Across the past two graduating classes, dozens of students achieved perfect scores in five or more AP subjects. More students are taking on the challenge of advanced coursework and excelling across multiple disciplines. Their achievements reflect not only exceptional academic ability but also Aidi's long-standing commitment to thoughtful curriculum design, personalized support, and academic excellence.
College Admission Success
Following a University of Cambridge offer earned by the Class of 2024, Wang Runtian from the Class of 2026 received an offer from Cornell University, an Ivy League institution. This year's graduates also earned offers from leading U.S. universities, including the University of Southern California, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the University of California, San Diego, and New York University.
Admissions to U.S. universities ranked among the Top 30 to Top 50 also continued to grow. Particularly strong results were achieved across the University of California system, with students receiving 19 offers from UC Davis, 8 from UC Irvine, and 14 from UC Santa Barbara, representing year-on-year increases of 90%, 60%, and 75%, respectively.
From world-renowned universities to a diverse range of leading institutions, Aidi's AP Program continues to broaden opportunities for students with different strengths and aspirations.
Personalized Learning
Flexible Course Selection
Flexibility is one of the defining strengths of Aidi's AP curriculum. Students can choose from 56 courses, including 22 AP courses.
This September, Aidi will introduce two new AP Career Kickstart courses developed by the College Board. Together with four AP Art courses offered by the Art Program, Aidi will provide a total of 28 AP courses, giving students even greater academic choice.
Unlike traditional grade-based schedules, Aidi's AP Program features a flexible course selection system that students to design their academic program based on their interests, readiness, and future plans rather than grade level.
Whether pursuing STEM, the humanities, or the arts, students can combine courses to support their academic and career goals.
Students ready for greater challenge can take advanced courses earlier, while others can progress at their own pace. The curriculum combines academic rigor with personalized learning, ensuring every student is challenged and supported.
Extended Learning Options
Beyond its broad curriculum, Aidi's AP Program creates opportunities for students to pursue learning beyond the classroom through personalized and interdisciplinary experiences.
The school can design personalized courses that transform students' passions into meaningful academic experiences. For example, a student passionate about soccer might develop an interdisciplinary course combining sports, exercise science, and biology through research, fieldwork, and project-based learning.
The AP Program also offers Independent Research, enabling students to explore interdisciplinary topics across fields such as artificial intelligence, programming, music, and science. Through research papers, software development, and presentations, they strengthen critical thinking, research skills, and creative problem-solving.
By encouraging students to pursue what genuinely interests them, Aidi empowers every learner to develop their strengths and chart a path that is uniquely their own.
Guided Academic Planning
Beginning in Grade 9, students receive structured support through course information sessions, trial classes, and one-on-one advising. These help them understand course expectations, explore academic options, and make informed choices aligned with their future college plans.
Each semester, Grade 9 students participate in two rounds of trial classes before finalizing their course selections. They may also adjust their choices during the first two weeks of the semester, ensuring greater confidence in their decisions.
To further support the process, the school has developed a student-informed Course Guide featuring practical insights into course difficulty, English proficiency requirements, mathematical foundations, and expected workload, drawing on the experiences of previous students.
The AP Program continues to enhance its course selection system. An AI-powered planning platform, developed by students, analyzes English proficiency, mathematical ability, personal interests, study habits, and historical enrollment data to recommend suitable course combinations, making course planning even more personalized and data-informed.
Innovative Teaching
Experienced Educators
A strong teaching team is the foundation of a high-quality international program. In recent years, Aidi's AP faculty has maintained an overall teacher turnover rate of below 5%.
This stability ensures continuity across the curriculum while allowing teachers to build lasting relationships with students and develop a deeper understanding of their individual learning needs. It also supports long-term growth in teaching quality, academic guidance, and student development.
Meanwhile, Aidi places a strong emphasis on faculty development. All AP teachers have completed official College Board training, and several have received national awards for teaching innovation. Through annual professional development, collaborative lesson planning, classroom observation, and case sharing, teachers continuously refine their practice and keep learning dynamic, engaging, and academically rigorous.
Dynamic Classrooms
At Aidi, learning goes far beyond traditional instruction. Project-Based Learning, interdisciplinary learning, and game-based teaching are integrated into everyday lessons, encouraging students to apply knowledge in authentic contexts.
In one history class, students explore medieval Europe through role-playing. Taking on the roles of nobles, knights, merchants, clergy, and peasants, they experience trade, cooperation, and social change before analyzing the historical forces behind them. Instead of simply memorizing facts, students gain a deeper understanding by engaging with history firsthand.
Learning also extends beyond the classroom through Project-Based Learning. Each semester, students investigate real-world questions through collaborative projects. In the future, they will design their own research topics, field study plans, and learning objectives, gradually becoming active architects of their own learning.
From classroom discussion to project work and hands-on experiences, Aidi's AP Program develops not only academic knowledge but also curiosity, communication skills, collaboration, and the confidence to solve complex problems.
College Counseling
Admission to leading U.S. universities is the result of years of thoughtful preparation. Beyond grades and test scores, universities value academic choices, sustained interests, meaningful experiences, intellectual curiosity, and strong personal character. Within Aidi's AP Program, college counseling begins early, guiding students as they explore their interests, develop their strengths, and prepare for the next stage of their education.
Empower X Program
Designed for students aspiring to Ivy League and Top 30 U.S. universities, Empower X supports long-term growth through four key areas: application fundamentals, university and major exploration, discussion and reflection, and public speaking and debate.
Rather than focusing solely on application strategies, the program helps students understand the qualities and experiences that selective universities value most. Through case studies, interactive workshops, discussions, and debate, students strengthen critical thinking, communication, self-awareness, and academic planning while gaining a broader perspective on higher education.
More than a single course, Empower X is an ongoing program that supports students throughout high school. By connecting academic learning with research, leadership, and real-world experiences, it helps each student develop a distinctive profile for college admission.
Dual Mentorship
Beginning in Grade 10, every student in the AP Program is supported by a dual mentorship system, with both an Academic Advisor and a College Counselor.
Academic Mentors provide guidance on coursework and academic development, while College Counselors support students in language testing, course planning, competitions, research opportunities, and university applications. Together, they help students refine their goals and make informed decisions as their interests evolve.
The Vice Principal, Academic Dean, Associate Academic Dean, and subject teachers also contribute to each student's long-term planning, designing personalized opportunities that align with individual interests and intended fields of study. This integrated approach connects academic learning, real-world experiences, and university preparation.
For example, Liu Tianyun, who plans to major in Mathematics Education, gained valuable teaching experience by serving as a mathematics teaching assistant on campus. Huang Jiaolong, who applied to New York University's Film program, completed an original documentary under the guidance of her teachers, showcasing both creative talent and professional potential.
Rather than following a standard formula, these experiences are built around each student's genuine interests and developed over time with sustained support from teachers and the school. They ultimately become some of the most distinctive and authentic elements of each student's college application.
Turning Passion into Impact
At Aidi, learning extends far beyond the classroom. Through student organizations, internships, and authentic projects, we encourage students to apply what they learn, serve their communities, and grow as leaders, innovators, and responsible global citizens.
On average, students in Aidi's AP Program participate in 1.5 clubs, and nearly half of all student organizations are led by ASE students. By organizing events, managing teams, and leading community initiatives, they develop leadership, collaboration, and a strong sense of responsibility through firsthand experience.
Aidi's Graduate Internship Program for AP students has become a longstanding tradition, giving graduating students the opportunity to return to campus as interns. Working across the kindergarten, elementary school, arts center, sports center, and administrative offices, they contribute to teaching support, event planning, and digital communications while giving back to the community that helped shape their growth.
As students grow through these experiences, they begin to see opportunities where others see challenges. They initiate projects, explore ideas, and apply what they have learned in meaningful ways beyond the classroom.
Technology for Good
AI Mental Health Platform
Grade 9 student Ma Hanshuo developed Zim-Mind, an AI-powered mental health support platform for teenagers in Zimbabwe during the PBIC International Youth Innovation Challenge, co-organized by the United Nations Population Fund and the China-Africa Business Council. The project uses technology to expand access to mental health support for young people.
Research and Innovation
Intelligent Scheduling System
Recognizing the complexity of course scheduling, Wang Can developed an intelligent scheduling system based on a genetic algorithm. His research was later published in The National High School Journal of Science (NHSJS), demonstrating how academic research can solve practical challenges on campus.
Art with Impact
Community Art Education
Class of 2026 graduate Wang Runtian brought art education to Xuexiang No. 2 Primary School, where she developed an experimental art workbook for local students. She later published the workbook and presented a solo exhibition, extending artistic practice beyond the classroom and into the community while demonstrating how creativity can create lasting value.
Community Care
Girls Help Girls
Students in the AP Program launched the Girls Help Girls initiative to provide emergency menstrual products for students in need. What began as a simple act of mutual support has evolved into a sustainable, student-led initiative that encourages dialogue on gender-related issues while fostering a more caring and inclusive school community.
Student Innovation
The Adventurers' Guild
Created by students, Adventurers Guild is a gamified volunteer platform that uses missions, point-based rewards, and service records to encourage participation and streamline volunteer management. The project demonstrates how student innovation can strengthen everyday life within the ASE community.
Every project begins with a student's genuine interests and responds to a real need. Whether through scientific research, artistic practice, community service, or technological innovation, students learn to turn knowledge into action, solve meaningful problems, and create positive change.
There is no single definition of a great education, just as there is no single path to growth.
At Aidi, every student is encouraged to grow at their own pace, every interest is valued, and every passion is nurtured. The curiosity developed in the classroom, the discoveries made through projects, and the confidence built through real-world experiences become lasting strengths that stay with students wherever life takes them.
