Luxelakes Cloudland International Kindergarten, adhering to the core spirit of Chengdu Wide Horizon Investment Group, combining ISS's mature international school management experience, as well as a wealth of globalised talents, has constructed a natural, warm and international "A joyful home away from home" for children aged 2-6. 

We are committed to providing excellent early childhood education with a child-centred approach. We have deepened our teaching standards with Common Core, drawing inspiration from Reggio Emilio and Te Whariki, and encouraging children's innate desire for discovery to flourish through the Curiosity Approach. We enjoy seeing children unleash their natural instincts through play and expand their curiosity through learning.

At Cloudland, we believe that the pinnacle of a teacher's calling is to awaken in students a love of creative expression and knowledge. Therefore, we are committed to finding guides who support children's lifelong learning abilities.

Cloudland’s curriculum system puts high demands on teachers. By linking the world's high-quality educational resources, we attract outstanding Chinese and foreign teachers, conduct strict background checks and select them at each level, and combine with domestic and foreign senior educational experts and consultants to provide regular specialised training for teachers to further improve their teaching skills. Our management team is familiar with all major education concepts and teaching systems, and has experience in managing international schools and kindergartens in many countries.

The basic curriculum system of Cloudland will take into full consideration of the growth and development and age characteristics of children. Based on the Guidelines for Children's Learning and Development, the curriculum content will be created through the domains of language, social, science, health, art, maths and SEL.

At Cloudland, we aim to learn through play, inquiry and personalised design. Through bilingualism, children are immersed in both their native language and English, incorporating phonics and early literacy methods to promote language development. In addition, we are committed to developing not just academic skills, but important qualities such as kindness, empathy, a positive mindset, and leadership to provide children with the foundation they need for their future.

Unit of Inquiry 

Cloudland encourages children to explore topics of interest and develop a love of learning through fun games, songs and structured play experiences. The UOI is based on the UBD Reverse Instructional Design, which is concept-driven and uses a teacher-child co-creation model to promote children's learning qualities, knowledge skills, and problem-solving discovery skills in the form of group and independent inquiry. The process emphasises maintaining children's curiosity, creativity, building design thinking, developing critical thinking and fostering a growth mindset.

Luxelakes Cloudland International Kindergarten is a school sitting in the forest featuring 270°lake view and 200+ natural plant varieties. It is a modern campus endowed with state-of-the-art facilifies. It is a perfect environment for curiosity, exploration and creativity to unfold, fully fostering children’s love for learning.

Cloudland always follows the concept of integrating preservation and education, focusing on physical and mental health while providing a safe and comfortable learning and living environment.

Scientific Care

We have a sound health care and childcare system, which takes care of children's healthy growth in six major areas: life care, environmental disinfection, disease prevention, diet and nutrition, growth and development, and mental health.

Meal preparation standards and food safety

Cloudland follows the principles of safety, hygiene, nutrition, science and health to ensure a balanced diet, and at the same time confirms that the recipes are executable on the basis of practicality in line with the age characteristics of the students.

For children's meals, all ingredients are purchased on the same day as the seasonal vegetables and fruits, and there are no out-of-season ingredients, no frozen products, and no overnight ingredients.

Cloudland offers no less than 25 different ingredients every week. The "chef" of the children's meals is the former head chef of the Intercontinental Paradise Hotel in Chengdu Century City and the former head chef of Chengdu Liangmu Yuan. All meals are professionally prepared by a national-level nutritionist who analyses and adjusts the nutritional content of the meals, and the pastries are made by the canteen chefs themselves with zero additives, and are never picked up from outside.

Cloudland Canteen is strictly supervised in six major processes, namely, supply source, acceptance, roughing, cooking, meal loading and delivery to the class, and is equipped with professional equipment and procurement and warehouse security systems.

Kindergarten security

The first thing parents notice when they walk into campus is that the spirit shown by the school security is different from other kindergartens. This is because the guardians of the children's safety - the school police - are made up of retired military personnel who have served in the Army Field Force, the Armed Forces, and the Marines for the last two years, and are physically fit, have swimming or lifeguard qualifications. Some of them hold qualifications such as lifeguards, and they guard the safety of all the children day in and day out.

Early childhood education is about caring for seedlings that are about to break out of the ground, and Cloudland gives them the power to understand and change the world, and to "say hello" to the world of the future through experiencing the world's wonders and warmth of belonging together. 

In Cloudland Global Community, we will connect Chengdu Wide Horizon Investment Group’s programmes in different cities and ISS campuses around the world, so that children can gain meaningful and valuable experiences around the world. It is our hope that the children from Cloudland will be able to support their communities, cities and others through hands-on activities and acts of kindness, and actively practice the spirit of future global citizenship.

The story about Cloudland has begun in the autumn of 2023, and we hope that in 2024, more families will come into Cloudland and make memories that belong to each other.
