In this fiercely competitive competition, Team 1 and Team 2 of MIS were the only participating teams from the southwest region. Our students demonstrated excellent debating skills and talents in this competition. As the guiding teachers of the MIS team, we are extremely proud of their outstanding performance. The MIS team gave full play to their team spirit and coordination ability in this competition. They conducted in-depth research on the debating topic with their teachers, collected a large amount of data, and showed a deep knowledge reserve. Their debating points were clear and logical. In addition, MIS students also showed excellent eloquence and self-confidence. They were able to accurately express their own views, citing relevant facts and evidence to support their stance. Their performance skills and language proficiency were amazing.

In this competition, MIS students also learned to respect the views of other teams and provide constructive rebuttals. They demonstrated the ability to engage in meaningful and profound dialogues with others during the debates. We would like to thank all the students and coaches who participated in this competition for their efforts and dedication, as well as the parents for their support! You have set an example for MIS, showcasing the excellent education and ability to cultivate students' comprehensive abilities in our school. We sincerely congratulate the MIS Chinese Debate Team on their outstanding performance in the "Zongheng Cup" International School Chinese Debate Competition. Your hard work and achievements will continue to inspire all MIS students to strive for higher goals and move forward!

Debate competition requires participants to research and understand complex issues within a limited time frame, analyzing them from multiple perspectives. Debaters need to organize their thoughts, express their viewpoints clearly, provide evidence and logical reasoning, and accept challenges and doubts from others. Debate competition is also a platform for cultivating critical thinking skills and promoting rational discussion, which has a positive impact on the general public.

In preparation for this competition, the MIS Chinese Debate Club has been holding weekly training sessions. Through extensive and professional pre-competition preparation, MIS Team 1 and MIS Team 2 successfully advanced to the national top 16 during the preliminary rounds from October 28th to 29th. In particular, MIS Team 1 won the preliminary round championship in Group F, while MIS Team 2 placed second in Group B. Additionally, several students were recognized as the Best Speakers in the preliminary rounds.

In the later rounds of the competition, including the quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals, MIS Team 1 and MIS Team 2 engaged in fierce battles with other strong teams. The debating topics included whether students should focus more on developing appreciation skills or creative thinking skills, whether the internet makes interpersonal relationships closer or more distant, and students quickly compiled knowledge reserves, searched for evidence from all angles, and prepared to present their arguments. Despite the pressure, they remained orderly in their busy preparations and complemented each other's efforts. With the guidance of their teachers, they ultimately achieved impressive results.

“纵横杯”国际学校中文辩论赛始于2017年，在国际学校中颇具影响力，该赛事因其专业知名度及庞大的规模，吸引了众多知名国际学校参加。今年，该项赛事共吸引全球各地70所学校120支队伍参与，比赛分成四个年龄组别，在近两百场赛事中辩手们将目光聚焦于各类议题：网络人际关系、鉴赏与创作能力、AI平等议题、编程教育、核能发电等，这些辩题纷纷成为大家思辨拉锯的焦点。经过为期2周的激烈角逐，MIS学生成绩斐然！

在此次竞争激烈的比赛中，MIS一队和二队是西南地区唯一的参赛队伍，我们的学生在此次比赛中展现出了卓越的辩论技巧和才华。作为MIS团队的指导老师，我们对他们的出色表现感到非常自豪。MIS团队在这场比赛中充分发挥了他们的团队合作精神和协调能力。他们与老师深入研究了辩题，收集了大量的资料，并展示出了深厚的知识储备。他们的辩论观点清晰明确，逻辑严谨。此外，MIS学子还展现出了优秀的口才和自信。他们能够准确地表达自己的观点，引用相关的事实和证据来支持自己的立场。他们的表演技巧和语言运用能力令人赞叹。

辩论赛要求参与者在有限的时间内研究和理解复杂议题，从多个角度分析问题。辩手需要组织思维、清晰地表达观点、提供证据和逻辑推理，并接受他人的质疑和挑战。辩论赛也是一个锻炼思辨能力和促进理性讨论的平台，对社会公众也具有积极的影响。

为了备战此次赛事，MIS舌战群儒辩论社师生坚持每周集训，经过充实而专业的赛前准备，MIS一队和MIS二队在10月28日至29日的预赛中成功突围，晋级全国十六强；其中，MIS一队获得F组预赛冠军，MIS二队获得B组预赛亚军！此外，还有多位学生在预赛中获得了最佳辩手荣誉。

在复赛、半决赛及决赛阶段，MIS一队和MIS二队与其他强队进行激烈对战，辩题为学生更应该注重培养鉴赏能力/学生更应该培养创作能力，网络让人际关系更紧密/网络让人际关系更疏离，学生们快速整合知识储备，寻找各方佐证，并准备论点论述。他们忙中有序，相互补充，最终在教师的指导下取得了亮眼的成绩。
