上周五,G7学生化身为不同科室的医生用自己手工做的人体结构模型给家长和老师们普及了人体结构相关的知识。
Last Friday, our Grade 7 students turned into doctors of different medical departments and introduced the knowledge of human body to parents and teachers with their own hand-made body structure models.
本学期G7一个非常重要的单元是人体结构及其功能。对于这个我们非常熟悉却又陌生的话题,怎样学习才能更有效呢?学习初期学生做了实验亲自观察各个器官的位置和形状,每个小节之后大家还一起收集资料了解多种人体疾病。这些前期的知识输入都是为最后的学术报告奠定基础。
The structure of the human body is a very important unit this semester. Our human body which we are very familiar with but much still unknown, so how can we learn more effectively? At the beginning of the study, students did some experiments to observe the position and shape some organs. After each chapter, students also did some research to learn about diseases. What we did was to lay the foundation for the final academic report.
科学课上同学们每学习完一个人体器官就用回收纸板做一个器官模型,用时一个多月知识学完了我们的模型也出来了。
In science class, every time students finished learning a human organ, they used recycled materials to make an organ model. It’s time to showcase the models when we completed the unit.
学术报告现场同学们都非常兴奋,今天他们是作为权威的医生给家长和老师普及知识,不再是课堂上听老师讲课的学生啦!
The students were very excited about the academic report. So, last Friday, they were the authoritative doctors to explain their knowledge to parents and teachers. They are no longer the students who listen to the teacher in class!
这一个单元的总结性评价不再是常规性的考试而是以学术报告的形式来评估学生知识掌握情况。这样一种评估模式不仅可以评估学习内容本身更是可以锻炼学生知识整合能力,语言表达能力等综合能力。
The summative evaluation for this unit is no longer an examination, but an academic report to evaluate the students' mastery of the knowledge. It is not only to evaluate the learning content itself, but also exercise students' comprehensive abilities such as knowledge integration ability and language expression ability.
