Welcome back to our K3 Newsletter!  

We are all very excited to let you know what the children have been up to over the past couple months at the kindergarten!

The children as always have been very busy in progressing their learning and understanding of the world we live in!

In K3A the children have been exploring all about themselves.  From self introductions to talking about themselves the children have learned to express themselves when speaking about themselves.

The children have already made great progress and we are looking forward to them for-filling their potential throughout the semester.

The children have also began learning how to tell the time, as well as speaking about what time they take part in different daily activities.  

In our phonics learning the children have worked very hard over our first 8 weeks. The children can already sound many different letters sounds and are becoming more familiar with their blending.  

With more practice the children will be blending sounds and words in no time!

In K3B we have had a wonderful start to the semester.  The children have been perfect since returning and have shown willingness to learn from the get go!

So far we have been learning all about ourselves, and exploring our talents and differences.  The children have been very keen to show their different musical talents, and look further into the world of music to see different musical styles and the talents of others.

Along with this the children have also looked at prepositions and are able to speak about where different classroom items can be found within the classroom. 

K3C have hit the road running on their journey of learning English this semester.  The children have been very attentive and engaged in our classes and always put in hard work to get the best learning outcomes.

Within our classes this semester we have already learned about our classrooms and used preposition to say where different things are.  Along with learning and establishing our classroom rules, the children have begun to look at their talents, and show what different talents they have.  Through music, the children have been showing just how talented they are! 

K3E have been sorting rubbish and learning what the different colours of bins mean.

We have done a great job sorting and now can sort any type of rubbish based on the material into the correct bin. We hope to spread the word in the future of recycling, reusing and repeating.

Digging For Oil

K3E have gone into detail about the dangers of fracking and how it is detrimental to our environment. We then let the children practice by ‘drilling’ into rocks and finding the hidden prizes inside said rocks. This was an enjoyable activity and everyone had fun.
