Recently, EY4 students learnt about the Unit of Inquiry and language, so let's find out step by step how the teachers let the children learn through play and how they help them bridge to IB inquiry learning in Primary School!
近日,幼儿园大班的孩子们学习了探索单元和语言的课程,让我们一起了解老师们是如何一步一步让孩子们在玩耍中学习,又是如何帮助孩子们衔接小学的IB探究课程!

The EY4 students engage in Language and Literacy on a daily basis. By integrating science into their learning, their understanding of the language arts also increases. This week, the focus letters were "m" and "d".
幼儿园四年级的学生每天都要学习语言和文字。我们通过将科学融入学习,可以提高对语言艺术的理解。本周学习的重点字母是 "m"和 "d"。
Dry Ice Experiment
干冰实验
We invited our class parents to volunteer, and they came up with the idea of conducting a "dry ice" experiment in a "magical brew".
我们邀请班级学生的家长做志愿者,他们想出了在 "魔法酿造 "中进行 "干冰 "实验的点子。
Parent involvement helps extend teaching outside the classroom, creates a more positive experience for children and helps children perform better when they are in school.
家长的参与有助于将教学延伸到课外,为孩子们创造更积极的体验,还可以帮助孩子们在学校表现得更好。
By taking an active role in the early childhood education process, parents can help ensure that their child has all the support they need to develop to their full potential.

The students were in awe at the how the set-up was created, as our parent volunteers dressed up for their roles.
在本次的活动中,我们的家长志愿者们装扮上符合魔法主题的衣服,耐心指导孩子们参与实验,大家都惊叹于实验场景的布置。
The experiment itself was a blast! Seeing how dry ice reacted with hot water and the steam that formed was amazing for the students. By adding soap to their "magic pot", bubbles formed.
而且实验本身也非常有趣!干冰与热水的反应以及形成的蒸汽让学生们兴奋不已。比如通过在他们的 "魔罐 "中加入肥皂,就形成了如魔法般的气泡。
It was a success to have parent volunteers coming in to participate and engage the students. We look forward to more of such opportunities.
这一次有家长志愿者参与互动的活动获得了巨大的成功。学校期待更多这样与家长沟通协作的机会。
