上周,Fun English Camp的小小学员们在国际教师的陪伴下,在知识的探索、艺术的创作与运动的挑战中,收获了成长与快乐,共同编织了一段难忘的学习时光。虽然这段难忘的玩中学旅程已经落下帷幕,但在学习过程中点亮的知识技能并不会随着时间消散,让我们一同回味这段充满探索、创造与欢乐的夏令营之旅吧。

Ocean box

We had an amazing time in today's "ocean box" class! To start off, we sang some fun songs about the ocean to help the kids become familiar with sea animals. After that, we used sea animal toys and asked the kids to identify each animal. Then, we set up a water-filled area with a variety of sea animals and gave each student a fishing rod to catch the sea animals. It was such an enjoyable experience!

Here are some key words we focused on: whale, shark, dolphin, crab, and manta ray. Additionally, we sang the song "Dolphin Dive" to enhance the ocean-themed learning.


今天我们在“海洋箱”课上度过了非常愉快的时光!首先,我们通过一些有趣的海洋歌曲,帮助孩子们熟悉海洋生物。之后,我们使用海洋动物教具,带领孩子们认识每一种海洋生物。在课堂上,我们设置了一个装满水的区域,里面放置了各种各样的海洋动物,并给孩子们一根钓鱼竿去捕捉这些海洋动物,这样有趣的体验能充分调动孩子们的课堂积极性。

Colors in nature

In our recent lesson on colors in nature, the children explored the outdoors to discover various colored objects. They found vibrant green leaves, bright yellow flowers, red berries, and blue sky, identifying and discussing the different colors they observed. This hands-on activity helped them understand how colors appear naturally around us and reinforced their ability to recognize and name colors. The children showed excitement and curiosity as they collected and shared their findings, enhancing their observational skills and appreciation for nature. This outdoor exploration was a wonderful way to combine learning with play, making the concept of colors tangible and memorable for the young learners.

 Visual Arts

In today's Visual Arts class, the students had a wonderful time creating their own unique "candies" using a variety of materials. We started by providing each child with a foam base, wires, foam balls, and an assortment of colorful paints and decorations.


The kids got to let their creativity shine as they designed and assembled their "candies."


Once the "candies" were complete, we displayed them all together, and the kids were thrilled to see the diverse and imaginative creations their classmates had made. It was a fantastic way for them to explore their artistic abilities and have fun in the process.


Overall, it was a very engaging and hands-on Visual Arts class, and the kids seemed to thoroughly enjoy the experience of making their own "candies" from scratch.


在今天的视觉艺术课上,学生们使用各种材料创作了自己独一无二的“糖果”,我和孩子们度过了一段非常愉快的时光。我们首先给每个孩子提供了一个泡沫底座、铁丝、泡沫球以及一系列彩色颜料和装饰品。孩子们在设计和组装“糖果”的过程中充分展现了他们的创造力。

Daily English class


In today's Daily English class, we focused on learning vocabulary related to clothes. The children had a great time exploring different items of clothing, such as t-shirts, pants, jackets, hats, socks, shoes, and scarves.

We started the class by listening to a fun song called "Get Dressed for the Day," which encouraged the kids to sing and move along as they learned the names of the various clothing items. The children then had the opportunity to practice the vocabulary by playing with flashcards and interacting with real clothes brought into the classroom.

Throughout the lesson, the children were engaged and enthusiastic, demonstrating their understanding of the new words. We also had the chance to reinforce the vocabulary through interactive games and activities.


在今天的日常英语课程中,我们专注于学习与衣物相关的词汇。孩子们很高兴地探索了不同的衣物,如T恤、裤子、夹克、帽子、袜子、鞋子和围巾。

SUMMARY


Science class


Today, in science class, we had a successful water travel experiment. Like plants draw water from the ground against gravity, we used paper towels to transport water from the bottom of one cup to an empty cup.


 As the water traveled, it mixed with other colors: yellow and red combined to produce orange, blue, and purple, creating a galaxy color effect, and blue and yellow resulted in green. We completed the experiment in the morning so that we could observe these color changes throughout the rest of the day. It was a great team effort and a lot of fun.


今天,在科学课上,我们成功地进行了一次水传输实验。就像植物能从地下逆重力吸水一样,我们使用纸巾将水从一个杯子的底部传输到另一个空杯子里。随着水的传输,它与其他颜色混合:黄色和红色混合产生了橙色,蓝色和紫色混合则创造出了类似银河的色彩效果,而蓝色和黄色混合则生成了绿色。
