In our UOI (Units of Inquiry) lessons, the theme of “Spring” was enriched with cultural significance.


Children listened to traditional tales and discovered how the rabbit—a symbol of hope and renewal—became a central figure in springtime festivities. They explored the colourful designs of eggs, uncovering the layers of meaning hidden beneath the surface.


在UOI探究课堂中,“春天与新生”的主题被赋予了文化的深意。


孩子们聆听民间传说,了解象征希望与复苏的兔子如何出现在春天的节日庆典中。他们观察着彩蛋的图案,感知色彩背后深藏的象征意义。



As the lessons progressed, what once appeared to be simple festive decorations revealed deeper cultural values. The humble egg became more than just an ornament—it emerged as a heartfelt emblem of love and well-wishing.


随着课堂的推进,原本看似简单的节日元素逐渐显现出深层的文化内涵。彩蛋,不仅是节庆的装饰品,更成为传递爱与祝福的文化符号。




From listening to stories to crafting their own, the children shifted from passive recipients to active creators. Across different learning zones, imagination came alive.


从聆听文化故事,到亲手参与创作,孩子们的学习体验从被动走向主动。在各个学习空间中,创意正在发酵。



In the kitchen corner, young chefs kneaded soft dough, decorating their unique bunny-shaped cookies with icing and chocolate.


在厨房角,小厨师们揉捏着香软的面团,用糖霜和巧克力点缀出独一无二的兔子饼干。



In the art area, eggshells met paintbrushes, as each stroke reflected a child’s instinct for colour and flair for creativity.


在艺术区,颜料与蛋壳碰撞,涂鸦的每一笔都映射出孩子们对色彩的直觉与想象。



In the crafts zone, paper and scissors danced together as pairs of bunny ears sprang to life, seemingly hopping with the joy of spring.


在手工区,剪刀与纸张的交响中,一双双兔耳朵跃然纸上,仿佛带着春天的笑容轻盈舞动。



Here, the boundaries of learning dissolved. Through hands-on activities, teamwork, and invention, the children experienced a new kind of learning—organic, joyful, and holistic. They shared, listened and completed a cycle of meaningful exploration.


此刻,学习的边界不再局限于课堂,而是在动手、协作与创意的过程中自然而然地展开。孩子们在分享与倾听中交流思想,在欢笑与创造中完成了一次完整的学习闭环。




“Ready, go!” With a cheerful call, the spring egg hunt began. The playground, flowerbeds, and reading corners all hid delightful surprises waiting to be uncovered. 


“Ready, go!”随着老师一声轻唤,彩蛋寻宝游戏正式开启。操场、花坛、图书角……校园的每一个角落都藏着神秘的春日惊喜。



Before setting off, the teacher gave each child a special instruction to collect only three eggs, each of a specific colour.


As they searched, the children recited the colours and counted aloud, providing a delightful opportunity to practice their counting and sorting skills while enjoying the joy of sharing through play. 


出发前,老师给每个孩子布置了一项特别任务:每人只能收集三枚彩蛋,且每枚彩蛋的颜色都有特定要求。孩子们一边搜寻,一边大声复述颜色名称并清点数目。


这场欢乐的寻蛋游戏不仅让他们练习了计数和分类技能,更在游戏中体会到分享的喜悦。 



Just when the fun peaked, the “Easter Bunny” made a surprise appearance, greeting the children and bringing a magical close to this enchanting adventure. 


就在游戏气氛最热烈的时候,“彩蛋兔子”惊喜登场,与孩子们亲切互动,为这场春日寻宝之旅画上了梦幻的注脚。 





Education is never just about passing on knowledge—it is the building of rich, heartfelt experiences.


In this springtime celebration, children listened to the voices of culture, expressed their ideas creatively, and rediscovered the world through collaboration and exploration.


教育,从不是单向的知识传递,而是一次次真实、有温度的体验构建。


孩子们在春日活动中,不仅聆听了文化的声音、参与了创意的表达,也在协作与探索中完成了对世界的再次认识。



Spring is a season of awakening, both for nature and the soul. Through this joyful journey, the children not only hunted for eggs but also quietly gathered seeds of empathy, respect, and unity.
