The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) is a student-centred approach to develop and nurture children between the ages of 3-12.
It offers young students a framework to become caring, active participants in a lifelong journey of learning. It offers an inquiry-based, transdisciplinary curriculum framework that builds conceptual understanding.

Student exploration of transdisciplinary themes is primarily manifested through Units of Inquiry (UOI) learning.
Units of Inquiry align with the six transdisciplinary themes, focusing on experiential learning that encourages students to pose questions and explore to establish connections in real-life contexts.

To build foundational knowledge and confidence whilst speaking and eventually reading, BKIK teaches phonics to its students starting with letter recognition, single letter phonemes, prefixes and suffixes and moving to blending techniques in the latter grades. It is an integral part of the English Literacy program at BKIK.

In conjunction with phonics, various words and common sentence structures and taught to the students including UOI “theme-based” vocabulary, with specific reference to the “Whole Year Unit” in the hopes of developing international mindedness at the same time as learning a new language.

Through repetition and application, students work on practicing the things they have learned! The established Reading A-Z collection is used it's a clear and concise way to measure student progress.

The early childhood stage from 0 to 6 years old is crucial for a person's lifelong development. During this pivotal period of diverse skill development, we believe that language serves as the medium for thought. However, our goal extends beyond assisting children in mastering two or three languages (Mandarin, Cantonese, and English). We aim to guide them on an exploratory journey to understand the world, establish cultural identity, explore personal beliefs, and develop self-identity.

1. Schedule a Visit: Parents can make an appointment with the Admissions Office to visit the campus and gain insights.

2. Submit Information: Parents complete the "Enrollment Application" to submit it to the Admissions Office.
填写资料:家长填写《入园申请表》提交至家校办
3. Arrange for Interview: Within a week of submitting the application, students are scheduled for an entrance interview assessment.

4. Entrance Assessment: The child undergoes an interview with teachers.

5. Issuance of Admission Notification: Admissions Office releases admission information and class assignments to enrolled parents.
