The school provides a bus service, serving the Zhujiang New Town area. Our experienced driver ensures a safe and secure journey for students. Additionally, a teacher accompanies the students on the bus for added supervision.

Besides the formal visible curriculum, we also place great importance on the implied curriculum. Therefore, we require preschool educators to show respect, responsibility, and integrity in their interactions with children and the people around them, and to set an example for students with their own behavior.

Integrating school events with UOI allows students to gain a comprehensive learning experience both inside and outside the classroom, providing them with more vibrant and practical learning opportunities. It enables students to fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere of activities and festive culture, learning through play and playing while learning.

School events serve as an ideal platform for integration. Through the year-round event "How to Express Ourselves", students combine with Lingnan Culture Week to embody the identity of a Chinese individual actively delving into their native culture. 

During the Costume Party, students search for their true selves, becoming "risk-takers". In Winter Bazaar, they portray the spirit of being "caring" BKIKers.

什么是国际文凭幼小项目（IBPYP）？

The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) is a student-centred approach to develop and nurture children between the ages of 3-12.

It offers young students a framework to become caring, active participants in a lifelong journey of learning. It offers an inquiry-based, transdisciplinary curriculum framework that builds conceptual understanding.

国际文凭小学项目（IBPYP）是一种以学生为主导的教学方法，旨在培养和关注3-12岁儿童的发展。

该课程为幼儿提供了一个框架，让他们在学习的旅程中能成为富有同情心、终身学习的积极参与者。同时，IBPYP采用以探究为基础、超学科的课程框架，帮助学生建立概念性的理解。

The IBPYP is guided by six globally significant transdisciplinary themes. It encourages exploration of these themes by applying knowledge and skills acquired across six subject areas, along with transdisciplinary skills. Emphasis is placed on inquiry throughout this process.

Transdisciplinary Themes

Student exploration of transdisciplinary themes is primarily manifested through Units of Inquiry (UOI) learning.

Units of Inquiry align with the six transdisciplinary themes, focusing on experiential learning that encourages students to pose questions and explore to establish connections in real-life contexts.

学生对跨学科主题的探究主要体现在探究单元（Unit of Inquiry, UOI）学习。

探究单元以六个跨学科主题为依归，其学习重点在于让学生通过体验式学习提出问题并进行探索，以建立现实生活中的联系。

The curriculum takes the form of group investigations conducted bilingually (in English and Mandarin), allowing students to follow their voices, clarify their choices, and exercise autonomy in their learning journey.

To build foundational knowledge and confidence whilst speaking and eventually reading, BKIK teaches phonics to its students starting with letter recognition, single letter phonemes, prefixes and suffixes and moving to blending techniques in the latter grades. It is an integral part of the English Literacy program at BKIK.

自然拼读法的目的是为了让学生在英文日常的口语交谈中建立英文基础和自信心，最终以阅读为依归。

在天启幼儿园，学生从认识字母开始学习，再慢慢过渡到单字母音素、前缀和后缀，并在中大班开始学习拼读。这也和我们的英语阅读计划相辅相成。

Vocabulary & Sentences 词汇和句子结构

In conjunction with phonics, various words and common sentence structures and taught to the students including UOI “theme-based” vocabulary, with specific reference to the “Whole Year Unit” in the hopes of developing international mindedness at the same time as learning a new language. 

结合自然拼读法，老师在日常探究课程中，教授学生关于探究主题的常见单词和句子，同时在全年活动主题中让学生发展国际情怀。

We focus on inquiry with the “6 Q’s” (What, Where, Why, Who, When, How) as the crux of our content. When students can ask questions, they are embarking on the path towards inquiry and developing high-order thinking skills.

在探究中，我们引导学生使用六何法（是什么、为什么、在哪里、是谁、什么时候和怎么样）来进行探究。当学生能够主动提出问题时，他们就踏上了探究和自主思考的道路。

Reading Program 阅读计划

The Reading Program at BKIK uses a combination of reading familiar words and applying phonetic awareness to a given text. Through the application of phonics, students can practice sounding out letters and blending them together. This is one way we can exercise our reading abilities.

Through repetition and application, students work on practicing the things they have learned! The established Reading A-Z collection is used it's a clear and concise way to measure student progress.

天启幼儿园的阅读计划让孩子在阅读中熟悉单词和培养语境，通过反复阅读和应用自然拼读法来巩固学习。我们选用的是 Reading A-Z的系列图书，在阅读的过程中能够有一套系统的方法衡量学生的学习水平。

We offer a diverse range of learning opportunities for students through our sports, arts, music, STEM, and Library and the Reading Program (Chinese and English).

The specialized activities at BKIK are not based on isolated subjects but rather on integrated learning that connects to interdisciplinary themes and real-life experiences. This comprehensive approach extends students' classroom learning experiences, providing them with a holistic and well-rounded educational journey both horizontally and vertically.

The early childhood stage from 0 to 6 years old is crucial for a person's lifelong development. During this pivotal period of diverse skill development, we believe that language serves as the medium for thought. However, our goal extends beyond assisting children in mastering two or three languages (Mandarin, Cantonese, and English). We aim to guide them on an exploratory journey to understand the world, establish cultural identity, explore personal beliefs, and develop self-identity.
