Nicola毕业于伦敦皇家霍洛威大学，获得戏剧和戏剧研究学士学位。在成为一名全职教师之前，她曾在社区从事艺术工作，在英国和国外建立了几个不同的戏剧小组。Nicola已经在国际学校工作了9年，最初在赞比亚，后来来到中国。她喜欢课堂戏剧，用戏剧作为探索社会问题的工具；她也致力于创作作品，并上演了几部完整的音乐剧。在教学闲暇时间，Nicola喜欢瑜伽。作为专业表演者，她还喜欢进行个人表演。

此次演讲, Nicola以歌唱加演讲方式，分享她的一些表演经验。Nicola向我们讲述了她曾经以 Mitzi Maybe 的艺名与她的舞台搭档 Sally Scrumptious 一起表演的节目的经历。Nicola向大家表演了两段她和Sally一起创作的作品“光荣的我”和“米兹的激情”, 她向我们讲述了这些歌曲背后的故事以及如何将这些歌曲融入她的表演。Nicola还演唱了《音乐之声》中的一首歌, 她讲述了人们如何经常将她与歌手Julie Andrews进行比较。因此，她决定也演唱一些Julie出名的歌曲。

Nicola talked and sang, sharing some of her performance experiences. She told us about the show she used to perform under the stage name of Mitzi Maybe with her stage partner Sally Scrumptious.

She sang two parodies from their cabaret show, Me Glorious Me and Mitzi’s Passion, that she wrote with Sally. Nicola told us about the stories behind these songs and how they fitted into her show.

Nicola also sang a song from The Sound of Music. Nicola explained how people have often compared her to the singer Julie Andrews. As a result, she has decided to sing some of the songs made famous by her.

Nicola's gorgeous and charming performance with her personal identity attracted every students.  Moreover, she has made a good example for our students in future personal speeches.

在演讲中, Nicola也找来了一些DP2 的学生们为她演唱的“孤独的牧羊人”一曲表演故事。学生们的演绎生动有趣, 活灵活现, 为演讲掀起了另一个高潮。

For the song of The Lonely Goatherd, Nicola was assisted by some of the DP2 students. They acted out the story while she sang the narrative.

Nicola一共演唱了五首歌，她演绎的最后两首歌曲为「有人给我送花」和「夜店老板娘」。为了让学生更好的理解演讲内容, 演讲由英语老师 Thomas 协助 Nicola 做中文翻译。Thomas幽默风趣的中文翻译展现了他独特的个人风格。
