为此，建筑师、设计师和学校管理团队坐在一起，寻找出诸多最有利于学生学习与身心健康的设计元素，聘请世界领先的建筑设计团队CPG进行校园设计，并与广东省建筑设计院以及超过十家专项设计院共同协作配合，使校园建筑和各项功能均满足学校课程教学需求，并且将校园建设成为对学生身心发展有着巨大良性影响的隐形课程，为粤港澳大湾区的国际学校树立了新的标杆。在荔湾爱莎学校，学生将能充分利用校园设施，更严谨地、也更协作地做学问、做探究、进行创作、表演和创新。

ISA Liwan is designed with open, sharing, communication as the core spirit. Based on the principle of "Learner-centred", we first design curriculum, then design the school. In the early stage of school design, and fully use space to support and cultivate the best learning state of students is the core element.

Therefore, architects, designers, and the school management team work together to find the the most beneficial design elements to help the development of students’ learning and health. We hired the world's leading architectural design team CPG for campus design, and architectural design institute of guangdong province and more than ten special design institute. They worked together to make the campus building and functions meet the school curriculum teaching requirements，and turn the school campus into positive invisible course for the development of students physical and mental health. Our campus will also set up a new benchmark for international schools in the Greater Bay Area to match the world's top level. At ISA Liwan, students will be able to make full use of campus facilities to do rigorous learning, research, collaboration, creation, performance and innovation.

The campus will be certified for construction and decoration materials according to the world’s most stringent American WELL standards, and is committed to providing a green, safe and environmentally friendly learning and living environment for all teachers and students.

爱莎荔湾按照世界上最严苛的美国WELL标准进行建筑和饰材选用认证。

The building construction and decoration materials selection of ISA Liwan are all certified by the world’s most stringent American WELL standards.

The WELL standard was formed through seven years by the Delos. During that process, first-class authorities from all works of life in the United States has been assembled for this. The international WELL health standard building certification is very strict. It is not only limited to the test of air quality, but also around water, nutrition, light, exercise, comfort, mind and innovation. These eight indicators really provide an overall solution for environmental health and safety. In order to meet the WELL standard, ISA Liwan will select construction materials, furniture, air and water purification equipment and so on according to strict standards.。

World-renowned institutions attach great importance to this certification standard, such as Microsoft, Allianz, Porsche, Roche, BNP Paribas, Gartner, University of Pennsylvania and China Life and other world-class institutions have obtained the WELL certification. In order to make the learning environment on campus more conductive to students’ interation, collaboration and project-based research, the school building space should be flexible and adaptable enough to meet students’ learning goals. 

Based on the consideration of future education, the design of ISA Liwan campus is very forward-looking: the campus fully explores the space, creates a  environmental friendly campus environment. Each building is well arranged and connected with each other to realize the sharing and communication of the whole school. The campus buildings take into account the relative independence and connectivity, with sufficient activity areas and teaching spaces. The internal split-level design creates reading, sharing and communication environment, increases the lighting and ventilation performance, and provides high-quality education and communication space.

Lingnan architecture, as an important carrier of Lingnan culture, occupies an important position in the gallery of Chinese architecture. ISA Liwan campus design has a simple, simple, transparent, elegant Lingnan characteristics. The free and flexible building plane is combined with Lingnan garden, with five courtyards, progressive layer by layer, changing the landscape, allowing users to easily enter the nature from the interior, and introducing the garden landscape into the interior, increasing natural ventilation and lighting, showing the characteristics of free, smooth and open Lingnan architecture.

The facade and shape are bright, cheerful and varied, blending tradition with modernity. Through "extraction" and "continuation" of Lingnan traditional architecture, facade decoration and traditional pattern, lingnan style is reflected in materials and colors. The facade with Lingnan characteristics reflects each other with the landscape, forming a modern campus space with Lingnan connotation.

In the design of outdoor environment, ISA Liwan inherits the spirit of Lingnan architecture and garden, building mountains through ponds, leading water into the garden, surrounded by wind pavilions, water pavilions and ladder Bridges, and integrating the techniques of flowers, elegant bamboo, piano, chess, painting and calligraphy in Lingnan courtyard into the layout of the garden, creating a campus environment of playing with scenery, learning with water. Immersive Lingnan landscaping will allow students to learn in a sustainable environment that is closer to nature and local culture.
