Junior high school students and parents

In the early summer, you could stroll around the Boya campus with red walls, green tiles, and bountiful greenery to feel the blend of traditional simplicity and modernity.

Tony Huo, Head of Guangzhou Foreign Language School ISA Wenhua IB Diploma Programme, will explain in simple terms the charm of IB programme in detail, and introduce the holistic education at GZFLS ISA Wenhua IB Diploma Programme.

◇ He has been teaching for 36 years, of which 25 years focus on IB education. He has worked in IB schools in Guangdong and Jiangsu successively, and served as the Deputy Head and Head of K-12 IB schools for nearly 10 years.

◇ He is one of the first group of IBDP Examiners in China.

◇He is a research scholar at the President's Center at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a research scholar on Presidential Leadership at the University College London School of Education;

◇In 2018, he won the China's Most Influential International School Principal, and in 2019, he won the Sina Education International Talent Training Demonstration Award.

The first group of graduates from GZFLS ISA Wenhua IB Diploma Programme achieved remarkable results in their university applications. The 26 graduates received offers from prestigious universities such as G5 in the UK, top 3 in Hong Kong, top 20 in the United States, top 8 in Australia, top 2 in Canada, and top 10 art schools in the world. They have received 218 offers in total with scholarships around USD 1.4 million.

Wang, one of the first group of graduates, has received offers from the HKU-UC Berkeley Dual Degree Programme, University of California, Berkeley, London School of Economics and Political Science, University College London, University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, University of Edinburgh, University of Manchester and an interview invitation from Cambridge University, and she was awarded a full scholarship by the University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. From Wang’s less than ideal performance in the high school entrance examination to her harvest in university application, her mother will tell you in detail the journey of choosing and studying in IB programme, and share her experience with you.

Jason Zuo, a G10 student at GZFLS ISA Wenhua IB Diploma Programme, will review his study and life experience in the past year, and share with you his real experience, feelings and growth from studying in the IB programme.

How do we implement the concept of IB holistic education in Guangzhou Foreign Language School? The demo class will present you the daily IB class and real teaching, and open the door to the new world of project-based and inquiry-based learning for students. The unique ATT and ATL of IB will inspire students to explore independently and stimulate their enthusiasm for learning.

◇He is with nearly 10 years of international education and teaching experience and familiar with IBDP curriculum.

◇He taught in many international schools in Germany, Australia, China, etc., served as the deputy principal and IB coordinator of an international school in Germany, and served as DP core teacher and English teacher in YK Pao School.

◇He has previously led a school to pass the IB programme evaluation.

◇She is with nearly 10 years of international education and teaching experience and familiar with the IBDP examination;

◇She has a Master’s Degree in Food Science from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology from Sun Yat-Sen University;

◇She is the advisor at South China Model United Nations Conference and with rich experience in guiding CAS activities.

◇He has a Bachelor’s Degree from Sun Yat-Sen University and a Master’s Degree from Hong Kong University.

◇He is with nearly 10 years of teaching experience in international curriculum and a large number of his students were admitted to business majors in the UK G5 universities. He previously taught in Guangdong Country Garden School and High School Affiliated to Guangzhou University.

On this open day, GZFLS ISA Wenhua IB Diploma Programme will also set up a series of wonderful booths regarding subjects, CCA activities and flash mob show, to show you the colourful campus life of IB students in an all-round way.
