谭日旭总校长和封岩执行校长发表致辞。他们向加入ASJ大家庭的所有成员表示最热烈的欢迎。

校长表示，展望新学期，今年ASJ迎来了近千名来自不同地区、不同背景、不同文化的同学。你们是ASJ的骄傲，也是我们的责任。我们将竭尽全力为你们提供一个安全、舒适、快乐、有序的学习环境，让你们在这里收获知识、技能、情感和价值，成长为有理想、有道德、有文化、有纪律的优秀人才。

校长强调，广州暨大港澳子弟学校是一所年轻而有活力的学校，也是一所充满梦想和希望的学校。我们将继承暨南大学百年办学的优良传统，开拓港澳子弟学校的独特路径，勇于面对国际教育的新形势和新挑战，努力实现新目标和新质变。

在ASJ，我们将以学生为中心，以教师为主体，以质量为核心。我们尊重每个学生的个性差异和发展潜能，关注每个教师的专业成长和职业发展，追求每个课程的有效性和适应性，探索每个环节的改进空间和优化方案。

勤而行之，日有所进，校长们对学子也提出了如下几点期许：

请大家始终坚持对于事物的强烈好奇心，激发自主探索和学习的动力，保持对学习充满热情，并将这种对学习的热爱融入生活，成为一名终身学习者。

实现「两文三语」，即中文（普通话）、英文和粤语教学与学习，是作为港澳子弟学校最为重要的特色，也是你们未来学习、成才，并富有竞争力的基础。我希望你们能够在进入学校一年之内，习得良好的粤语及英语听说能力，能看懂繁体字，能熟练地运用英语，能清晰地辨识繁体字。勤学不怠，以真才实学筑牢持久探索热爱的基础。

教育应坚持原则，承担责任；教育也应饮水思源，始终感恩。我们今天能够相聚于此，应当感恩父母家人的养育，感恩学校师长的教育，感恩国家社会的安定繁荣，以及无数人的砥砺前行。

一切的朝气都源自于美好，一切的光辉都归于远方。心中有梦眼里有光，功不唐捐玉汝于成。

在开学典礼上，谭日旭总校长为获得奖学金和校外赛事获奖同学颁发获奖证书，嘉奖他们的努力和能力。

Chief Principal Tam Yat Yuk and Executive Principal Feng Yan delivered speeches. They extended their warmest welcome to all members of the ASJ family.

They said, this year, we welcome nearly a thousand students from different regions, backgrounds, and cultures. You are our pride and our responsibility. We will do our best to provide you with a safe, comfortable, joyful, and orderly learning environment, where you can acquire knowledge, skills, emotions, and values, and grow into outstanding individuals with ideals, ethics, culture, and discipline.

Affiliated School of JNU for Hong Kong and Macao Students (Guangzhou) is a young and vibrant school, full of dreams and hopes. We will inherit the fine traditions of Jinan University's century-old education, explore the unique path of schools for Hong Kong and Macao students, bravely face the new situation and challenges of international education, and strive to achieve new goals and qualitative changes.

Our educational philosophy centers around students, with teachers as the main body and quality as the core. We respect the individual differences and potential of each student, pay attention to the professional growth and career development of each teacher, pursue the effectiveness and adaptability of each curriculum, and explore opportunities for improvement and optimization in every aspect.

Diligence leads to progress. I have the following

expectations for you,

Always maintain a strong curiosity about things in life, stimulate the drive for independent exploration and learning, keep your passion for learning, and integrate this love for learning into your daily lives, becoming lifelong learners.

Achieving proficiency in Chinese (Putonghua), English and Cantonese is the most important feature of school for Hong Kong and Macau students and the foundation for your future learning, success, and competitiveness. Within the first year of entering the school, I hope you can acquire good listening and speaking skills in Cantonese and English, be able to read traditional Chinese characters, be fluent in English, and be able to recognize traditional Chinese characters. Study diligently and establish a solid foundation to explore your passion with true knowledge and learning.

Education should adhere to principles and take responsibility; education should also remember its roots and always be grateful. Today, as we gather here, we should be grateful for the nurturing of our parents and family, the education provided by the school and teachers, the stability and prosperity of our country and society, and the countless individuals who have made progress through their hard work.

All the vigour comes from the beautiful, all the glory goes to the faraway place. At the opening ceremony, Mr Tam Yat Yuk, the Chief Principal, presented certificates to the students who won the scholarships and off-campus competitions, recognising their efforts and abilities.
