The Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts (CSVPA), established in 1985, as a specialised school for the performing arts and creative industries, with campuses situated in the heart of Cambridge and London. Recognised globally, CSVPA is an elite arts college and a professional institution committed to cultivating international talent. CSVPA offers comprehensive programmes in Music, Drama, Dance, and Art & Design at Foundation, Undergraduate, Pre-Masters, and Masters levels.

· 辅导多届学生考入了世界著名的音乐学府，如英国皇家音乐学院，美国伊斯曼音乐学院、伯克利音乐学院、耶鲁大学、密歇根大学音乐学院等。曾培养学生获IGCSE音乐学科中国区最高分（剑桥卓越学子奖）。

· 曾为世界帆船比赛创作主题曲，作品荣获中央人民广播电台十佳歌曲奖，并受到共青团中央的表彰。

Ethan graduated from the University of Michigan, with a master’s degree in music education. He also obtained an education management certificate from Harvard University. He has been teaching music for over 12 years, serving as a director of music/arts, and a head at a top international school. Ethan’s students have been admitted to renowned music institutions worldwide, including the Royal Academy of Music in the UK, Berklee College of Music, Yale School of Music, Boston Conservatory, and the School of Music at the University of Michigan. He is an IGCSE & A-level music examiner at CAIE and a IBDP examiner. Besides that, Ethan is the keynote speaker at the International Education Forum, as well as the judge at international school teachers’ teaching skills competition. He also enjoys composing music, and once wrote the theme song for the World Sailing Race. Many of Ethan’s works have been widely reported on by the media, and has received several awards, such as the “Top Ten Song” from China National Radio.

The School of Performing Arts curriculum comprises of three modules:

Secondary School Curricular + Music Compulsory Courses + Music Optional Courses = Customised Courses.

By offering a comprehensive international academic programme alongside music courses, our aim is to help students enhance and fortify their professionalism in music. This establishes a sturdy foundation for their future studies at the world's leading music colleges and universities, simultaneously refining their overall qualities. In our multicultural and bilingual environment, our objective is to assist students in cultivating their learning ability, social commitment, and spiritual resilience. At the same time, we adopt a learner-centred approach. We tailor relevant and personalised curricula for each student, crafting an individual growth pathway.

在艺术学院，我们不仅为学生提供丰富的专业课程，同时也为他们提供校内外各种活动和演出机会，让学生在享受表演的过程中，积累舞台经验，提升音乐水平。我们的室内乐团，摇滚乐队，舞蹈团体积极地参与校内外许多活动和节日，如艺术节、夏季音乐会等。

我们也为学生提供参与和体验世界级音乐节的机会，如国际合唱音乐节、美国费城国际音乐节、伯克利音乐学院夏校、以及联合英国剑桥视觉表演艺术学院举办的夏令营等等。

At the Arts Academy, we go beyond offering students a diverse array of professional courses. We also present a myriad of on and off campus activities, providing students with ample performance opportunities. This allows them to not only enjoy the thrill of performing but also accumulate valuable stage experience and elevate their musical skills. Our dynamic chamber orchestra, rock band, and dance groups enthusiastically engage in various on-campus and external events, including art festivals and summer concerts. Additionally, students have the chance to participate in prestigious international music festivals like choir festivals, including the Philadelphia International Music Festival, Berklee College of Music Summer School, and collaborative summer camps with the Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts in the UK. Through active involvement in music practices and performances, we aim to instill confidence, enthusiasm, and shape a holistic development in expression, leadership, and teamwork for our students.

In addition to our in-house faculty and instructors from the Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts, we have extended invitations to a diverse array of musicians and professors globally to serve as esteemed guest experts. This distinguished group includes renowned composers, Steinway artists, and performers associated with the Canadian National Arts Centre. Furthermore, we are honoured to host professors from esteemed music institutions such as the Royal Academy of Music in the United Kingdom and the Central Conservatory of Music in China. Additionally, we have the privilege of welcoming experts and professors from various universities within Guangzhou. Their commitment involves providing regular, specialised guidance to our students. These esteemed individuals represent institutions such as the Xinghai Conservatory of Music, the School of Music at South China Normal University, the School of Arts at Sun Yat-sen University, and the School of Music at Guangzhou University.

在斐特思表演艺术学院，我们坚信：音乐教育不应仅仅是传授知识和技能，更旨在全面提高人的综合素质，所以我们并不追求单一和重复的技巧训练，以及机械化的学习相关音乐知识。

因此，音乐和表演技术水平的高低以及相关音乐测试的分数并不是我们考量录取的唯一标准，我们更愿意从多个维度，以发展的眼光衡量每一个具有才华和潜质的学生。

对于6-8年级学生，我们希望他们已经初步建立了对于音乐的兴趣和好奇心，同时愿意投入一定的时间进行音乐专业学习。

对于9-12年级的学生，我们希望他们拥有一定的专业基础，并有明确的升学计划与目标。

In our belief, music education should go beyond the mere imparting of knowledge and skills; it should aim to comprehensively enhance an individual's overall qualities. Therefore, we do not solely pursue singular and repetitive technical training or mechanised learning of music-related knowledge. 

Consequently, proficiency in music and performance techniques, along with scores from relevant music tests, is NOT the sole criteria for admission. Instead, we prefer to assess each talented and promising student from multiple dimensions with a developmental perspective.

For students in Grades 6-8, we hope that they have already cultivated a preliminary interest and curiosity in music, coupled with a willingness to invest time in professional music studies. As for students in Grades 9-12, we anticipate that they possess a certain level of professional foundation and have clear plans and goals for further education.
