On April 21, the 2024 World Children Development Forum Series of Exchange Activities (the Forum) kicked off. Thirteen students from ISA Science City, ISA Tianhe, and ISA Liwan took part in the opening ceremony. Among them, Isabelle Shi-Ya and Leandro from ISA Science City had the honour of being the hosts. ISA students exchanged ideas with young participants from different countries during the opening ceremony. They confidently showcased their cross-cultural communication skills. 

4月21日,来自爱莎科学城、爱莎天河和爱莎荔湾的13名同学参与了2024年世界少年儿童发展论坛开幕式活动,其中爱莎科学城的Isabelle Shi-Ya和Leandro有幸担任开幕式主持人。爱莎学子在开幕式活动上与世界各国少年儿童进行交流对话,见证创意与科学思维的碰撞,自信展示了优秀的跨文化交际能力。


The Forum was held at the Guangdong Science Centre, where young participants from various countries experienced China's advanced technology and its commitment to peaceful development. Themed ‘We Love Science’, the event, spearheaded by the All-China Youth Federation, garnered robust backing from prestigious entities like UNESCO and UNICEF. With over 190 delegates from 40 nations, including representatives from international organizations, diplomatic envoys, and youth leaders, the Forum convened a diverse array of voices committed to advancing children's welfare worldwide.

此次论坛在广东科学中心举办,来自不同国家的少年儿童亲身感受到中国的先进科技和和平发展。该论坛由中华全国青年联合会主办,联合国教科文组织、联合国儿童基金会支持。论坛以“我们爱科学”为主题,搭建各国少年儿童组织、少年儿童代表友好交流交往的重要平台,推动携手构建人类命运共同体。来自40个国家的190余名少年儿童代表及有关国际组织代表、驻华使节代表、少年儿童组织负责人等参加论坛。


The Forum aims to facilitate collaboration and friendly exchanges among youth organizations and institutions worldwide. Notably, the collaborative unveiling of the Initiative of Inspiring the Children's Scientific Dreams underscored the forum's dedication to nurturing youthful curiosity and innovation. Moreover, the inauguration of the ‘Kids, Tell the World’ Studio Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area station heralded a new era of global youth storytelling and cross-cultural dialogue.

本次论坛旨在促进世界各国少年儿童组织、机构的交往合作,推动中外少年儿童友好交流。多位中外嘉宾与来自五大洲的少年儿童代表共同发布《激发少年儿童科学梦想倡议》。有关方面共同启动童“话”世界工作室粤港澳大湾区工作站。中国少年儿童新闻出版总社与新加坡、马来西亚等出版行业从业者们共同揭幕全球少年儿童科普阅读体验空间。

Beyond the ceremonial splendour, the Forum promises a rich tapestry of intellectual discourse and interactive engagements. From enlightening forums on children's science literacy to captivating storytelling sessions and immersive science workshops, the program seeks to foster camaraderie and intellectual exchange while empowering young minds to embrace the ethos of scientific inquiry and exploration. As delegates embark on this transformative journey, the Forum's enduring legacy lies in its aspiration to instil a lifelong love for science and ignite the imaginations of future generations across borders.

论坛还将举办系列交流活动,中外少年儿童代表将参加少年儿童科普阅读论坛、“我们爱科学”故事会、少年儿童科学公开课、博物馆奇妙夜、“未来城市”创想营(广州、珠海)等主题活动,引领中外少年儿童讲科学、爱科学、学科学、用科学。

The theme of the event, ‘We Love Science’, aligns perfectly with ISA's commitment to the deep integration of technology and education. ISA's Innovation Centres across schools aim to provide students with the key to unlock the world of technology, unleashing their boundless imagination and creativity, broadening their horizons and global awareness. 

此次活动主题“我们爱科学”也与爱莎致力于科技与教育深度融合的理念不谋而合,爱莎各校科创中心旨在为学生提供打开科技之门的钥匙,释放他们的无限想象力和创造力,拓宽他们的视野和全球意识,使他们能够自信地去探索未知,拥抱未来。

ISA students benefit from abundant resources and learning opportunities in the field of technology education. Their problem-solving skills are improved through hands-on projects at the Innovation Centres. Supported by the school's technological resources and mentorship, they showcase their project and research results, demonstrating a profound understanding of science. They are not mere recipients of knowledge but active creators and disseminators of knowledge.

爱莎学子在科技教育方面享受着丰富的资源和学习机会。在爱莎科技教育的培育下,爱莎学子不断探索未知,发掘自己的兴趣所在,并逐步形成对科学的独到见解。他们在科创中心积极参与实践项目,通过动手实践培养了解决问题的能力和创新思维。在学校提供的科技资源和导师指导下,他们通过展示自己的项目和研究成果,展现出对科学的深刻理解。他们不仅仅是知识的接收者,更是积极的知识创造者和推动者。
