On May 28, 2024, the Secondary School Citizenship and Social Development Department of Guangzhou Jinda Hong Kong and Macao Children's School (ASJ) held the first ASJ Community Cup "Witness the New Era" Creative Short Video Competition.
2024 is the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. This event allows students to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and use their creativity to show the country's brilliant achievements from standing up, getting rich to becoming strong through different forms of creative short videos.
The guests who served as judges in this competition included Mr. Sun Xiaojie, Vice President of Hong Kong Victoria Harbour Education Group, Ms. Feng Yan, Executive Principal, Ms. Yang Lihong, Director of Teaching and Mr. Zhou Xiaopeng, Director of the Secondary School.
The competition first showed the promotional short video brought by the Citizenship and Social Development Department, which enabled students to further clarify the subject content and theme.
Afterwards, each class displayed short video works in turn and the creative representatives gave a presentation to share the source of creativity, shooting process and team division of labor with classmates and judges. The judges scored in turn based on five criteria: patriotism, creativity, team spirit, theme compliance, and correct subject matter.
After the work display session, Student Commune Ambassadors G11-Z Class Miss Yao and G11-A Class Mr. Wu performed the song "Wanjiang", which pushed the atmosphere of the event to a climax.
G10-Z Class's work "Seventy-five Years" won the championship with a score of 91
G10-G Class's work "75th Anniversary and Looking at the Bay Area" won the runner-up with a score of 82
G10-J Class's work "The Spring Breeze of Reform Blows All Over the Land" won the third place with a score of 81.5
G10-H Class's work "Tribute to the Great Journey and Celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China" won the fourth place with a score of 74
CSD department congratulates the above award-winning students and is proud of them for making creative short videos to celebrate National Day! We shall continue to hold more patriotic education activities to allow students to promote the spirit of patriotism and love for Hong Kong in the competition and show the style of good youth in the Bay Area.
