华外创新融合部(I-EP)MYP探究项目是贯穿学生初中三年学习的探究类主课程。我们根据IB六大全球背景设计每次的探究主题,每学年根据不同主题完成四个探究项目,三个学年完成两轮探究循环。本学年,七年级最后一次探究项目展示刚刚圆满落幕。在其中,我们见证了七年级同学们的成长与进步。转眼间,我们又迎来了八年级最后一次探究项目展示。那么,这一次,八年级的同学们又将为我们带来怎样的惊喜与感动呢?下面,就让我们跟随着八年级的张正霖同学,一起来看看吧!

The I-EP MYP Inquiry Project is the inquiry-based master course that runs through MYP students' three years of middle school study. We designs inquiry themes based on the 6 IB global contexts, with 4 themes per semester and 2 rounds of inquiry projects completed in 3 years. The G7 final inquiry project exhibition in this academic year has just come to a successful conclusion, in which we witnessed the growth and progress of our G7 students. Now, we have come to the G8 last inquiry project exhibition. This time, what kind of surprises and touches did the G8 students bring to us? Let's follow Alex from G8 to find out the answers!

2024年7月5日,我们迎来了本学年最后一次探究项目展示。本次探究项目的主题为“科学与技术的创新”。我们围绕这一主题,化身小小“科学家”,共同探讨了科学技术在人们日常生活中的重要作用,并通过视频播放、实物演示、实验操作等各种形象生动的方式,呈现了我们的探究成果。值得一提的是,在这次探究项目展示中,我除了是项目的演讲者外,还非常荣幸地担任了主持人一角。

On July 5, 2024, we had our last inquiry project exhibition of this academic year. The theme of this inquiry project was "Scientific Innovation". Around this theme, we acted as little "scientists", discussed the important role of scientific and technological development in people's daily life, and presented our investigation results through video playing, physical demonstration, experimental operation as well as many other vivid ways. It is worth mentioning that I was honored to play the role of the host in addition to being the speaker of the project.

艺见光



Art & Light


该小组以极具科幻色彩的“光之舞”开场,引发全场观众阵阵欢呼,营造出了浓厚的科技氛围。他们通过精彩的讲解和精心设计的实验,全面展示了光的各种特性,让观众们目不暇接,仿佛置身于一个光影交织、美轮美奂的奇幻世界。整场演示既科学性强,又富有视觉冲击力,令人叹为观止。

This group started the presentation with a very fantastic show "Dance of Light", which triggered a burst of cheers from the whole audiences and created an atmosphere of strong sense of science. Through wonderful explanation and well-designed experiments, they comprehensively demonstrated the various characteristics of light, which dazzled the audiences as if they were in a beautiful and wonderful world of lights and shadows. Their presentation was both professional and visually stunning.





营养液在农业中的应用



Nutrition & Farming


该小组带领我们一起探讨了营养液在农业领域中的应用。来自韩国、德国、马来西亚和中国的四位“小农民”,头戴草帽、身披汗巾,通过小视频向我们展示了他们亲手种植的植物从播种到丰收的全过程。他们发现,不同地区的土壤情况差异导致农作物的种类和种植方式也存在着很大的差异。我们应该因地制宜以实现产效的最大化。通过分享,他们让我们深入了解了科技在农业领域中的重要作用。

This group led us to explore the use of nutrient solutions in agriculture. Wearing straw hats and towels, four "little farmers" from Korea, Germany, Malaysia and China showed us the whole process of how their plants were grown, from sowing to harvesting, through a small video. They found that the soil conditions in different regions lead to great differences in the types of crops and planting methods. We should adapt to local conditions in order to maximize the output. Through the sharing, they allowed us to gain a deeper understanding of the important role of science and technology in the field of agriculture.






风洞实验



Wind Tunnel Experiment


该小组通过一系列的实验,深入探讨了气体流动及其与飞机模型的相互作用。他们还向我们介绍了飞行器在实际飞行场景中可能会受到的各类环境因素的影响,让我们大开眼界,也让我们对飞行器的工作原理有了更深入的认识。他们的分享不仅丰富了我们的知识,更激发了我们对航空领域的兴趣。

Through a series of experiments, the group delved into the flow of gases and their interactions with model airplanes. They also introduced the various types of environmental factors that an aircraft may be affected by in reality, which was an eye-opening experience for us and gave us a deeper understanding of the working principle of an aircraft. Their sharing not only enriched our knowledge, but also stimulated our interest in the field of aviation.





风力发电



Wind Power Generate Electricity


该小组制作了一部生动有趣的动画片,由可爱的“电宝宝”的探险之旅开始,演绎了一个偏远小镇依靠绿色能源技术,有效利用自然资源带动本地经济,实现可持续发展的故事。除此之外,他们还组装了一大一小两套风力发电模型,现场展示了电磁感应这一基本原理在风能与电能转换过程中的精妙之处。这不仅让观众们直观地感受到了风力发电在未来社会的巨大潜力,也充分展示了该小组对可再生能源技术的深入理解和创新思维。

This group produced an interesting video, starting with the adventure of a cute "electric baby", which interpreted the story of a remote town that relied on green energy technology. The town effectively utilized natural resources to drive the local economy and finally achieve sustainable development. In addition, they also assembled two wind power generation models, showing the basic principle of electromagnetic induction in the conversion process of wind energy and electrical energy. This not only allowed the audiences to feel the huge potential of wind power in the future society, but also fully showed the deep understanding and innovative thinking of the group members on renewable energy technologies.





火箭动力探究



Rocket Power Inquiry   


该小组在老师的指导下,利用课余时间进行了多组实验,包括液氮火箭实验和水火箭实验。在展示环节中,他们通过视频的方式向大家呈现了实验的过程。虽然实验屡屡遭遇失败,但是他们从未放弃。在不懈的努力下,他们最终成功利用液氮推动了一个“水桶火箭”的发射。霎时间,全场掌声雷动。这次探究不仅体现了该组成员们扎实的专业知识,也展现了他们积极探索、不屈不挠的科研态度。

Under the guidance of the teacher, this group conducted several sets of experiments, including liquid nitrogen rocket experiments and water rocket experiments. In the presentation session, they showed the process of the experiments to everyone by a video. Although the experiments were repeatedly failed, they never gave up. With unremitting efforts, they finally succeeded in launching a "bucket rocket" with liquid nitrogen, immediately receiving thunderous applause. This investigation not only reflected the solid professional knowledge of the group members, but also showed their positive attitudes towards scientific inquiry.





“氧”家族的故事



The Story of Oxygen Family   


狼人杀!该小组以这么一个惊险刺激的游戏为切入点,生动地讲述了氧气的不同种类以及他们在生态环境中的作用机制。随后,他们又通过现场实验,向大家展示了氧气的各种性质。这种将理论知识融入有趣的游戏互动,并辅以实验展示的演讲方式,极大地调动了观众的积极性,给他们留下了深刻的印象。

Wolfkill! Taking such a thrilling game as an opening, the group vividly talked about the different kinds of oxygen and their mechanism in the ecological environment. Then, they demonstrated the various characteristics of oxygen through on-site experiments. This kind of presentation, which integrated theoretical knowledge into interesting game and supplemented with experimental demonstrations, greatly stimulated the enthusiasm of the audiences and left a deep impression on them.






本次探究展示又一次圆满完成了,衷心感谢老师和家长们对我们的悉心指导和大力支持。同时,也非常感谢七年级和九年级的同学们来到了展示的现场,为我们加油鼓劲,并提出了许多极具价值的改进建议,让我们深受鼓舞。我们衷心地感谢所有给予我们帮助和支持的人,是你们的无私奉献,才使得我们的探究项目得以顺利完成,我们将继续努力,在未来的科学探索道路上取得更大的进步

The Inquiry Exhibition came to a successful conclusion once again, and we would like to sincerely thank our teachers and parents for their great support and patient guidance. We are also very grateful to our G7 and G9 students for coming to the exhibition to cheer us up and give us many valuable suggestions for improvement. Without your selfless dedication, it was impossible for us to successfully complete our inquiry project. We will continue to work hard and make greater progress in the future.



在这次探究项目中,学生们紧扣“科学与技术的创新”这一主题,深入探讨了光之艺术、农业种植、风洞试验、风力发电、火箭动力以及氧气家族等不同议题,深刻体会到了科技对生活的重要意义。


在探究的过程中,学生们不仅展现了扎实的专业知识,还发挥了卓越的自主研究和团队协作能力。他们勇于尝试,大胆创新,即使面对挫折也从未放弃,最终取得了令人赞叹的成果。相信通过这样一次又一次全面独特的学习实践,我们的学生必将成长为更出色的IB学习者,在未来的人生道路上书写更加精彩的人生篇章。

In this inquiry project, students focused on the theme of "Scientific Innovation" and explored different topics including Art & Light, Nutrition & Farming, Wind Tunnel Experiment, Wind Power, Rocket Power and the Oxygen Family, deeply realizing the importance of science and technology in our lives.


In the process, our students not only demonstrated their solid knowledge, but also showed their excellent ability of independent exploration and teamwork. They were brave to try, bold to innovate, never gave up when facing setbacks, and finally achieved inspiring results. We believed that through such comprehensive and unique learning experiences one after another, they will become better IB learners and have brighter future.
