近日，我校九年级学生Kevin Li 荣获安徒生(国际)艺术奖绘画组银奖，他用画笔绘出了心中所想，赢得了广泛赞誉。自从来到广州斐特思以后，这位腼腆的北方大男孩不断鼓起勇气突破自我、积极登上各类舞台，用绘画和戏剧艺术表达自我、沟通世界。

Recently, our Grade 9 student Kevin Li won the Silver Award in the Painting Group of the H.C. Andersen Art Awards. Since joining FCG, this shy boy has been constantly building up his courage to break through himself and actively take the stage in various events, expressing himself through painting and dramatic arts.

"自知"、"敏感"和"善于社交"是Kevin描述自己的关键词，心思细腻的他总能在自省的过程中发现自己的优缺点，并在与他人相处的过程中取长补短。初一时首次接触到的版绘课为他打开了新世界的大门：借助于绘画，略显"社恐"的他也能向世界大胆表达喜好、直观展示自我的情绪。Kevin能够敏锐地觉察出不同个体及周围环境中的细微变化，也善于发现旁人身上的闪光点，这些都成为了他汲取艺术创作灵感的来源。Kevin参加过两次艺术类的比赛，都取得了十分亮眼的成绩——这让他豁然坚定了通过绘画让自己变得更加强大的决心：提升自信，不再害怕社交，勇于与世界沟通。画板上斑斓的每一笔，都是Kevin探索内心、自我审视所走过的漫长道路。

"Self-awareness", "Sensitivity", and "good at socialising" are the keywords that Kevin uses to describe himself. With a delicate mind, he can always find his strengths and weaknesses in self-reflection and learn from others in interactions. The first time he encountered art in printmaking class opened the door to a new world for him: with the help of drawing, this shy boy could also boldly express his likes and directly show his emotions. Kevin is able to sense the subtle changes in an individual or environment keenly and is good at discovering others' shining points. These have all become sources of inspiration for his artistic creation. Kevin has participated in two art competitions, both of which have achieved impressive results - this has made him firmly determined to use painting to grow stronger: enhance his confidence, stop being afraid of socialising, and be brave in communicating with the world. Every vivid stroke on the painting board is the long journey that Kevin has taken to self-examination and explore his inner self.

人文主义关怀是Kevin绘画作品中不可或缺的元素。此次征服了安徒生(国际)艺术奖一众评委团的画作，其创作灵感来源于Kevin在参观海洋馆时看见的一头鲸鱼。他悲悯于本属于广阔海洋的鲸鱼被禁锢在了海洋馆窄小的展览鱼缸中，虽免于被捕鲸者伤害却也失去了自由。在这一背景下，他在画作中用海豚、水母与珊瑚描绘出一个看似平静却暗含杀机的深海世界。"在广袤浩瀚的蓝色星球上，地球表面的生物多样性是被人们所熟知的。但在海洋深处还隐藏着神秘却同样独特而丰富的生态系统。我想借此表达对大自然的敬畏，引起更多对海洋生物生存危机的关注与思考，呼吁大家共同努力保护好美丽的大自然。"Kevin如是说。 

Humanistic care is an indispensable element in Kevin's paintings. The painting that conquered the H.C. Andersen Art Award jury was inspired by a whale that Kevin saw during an oceanarium visit. He felt sorry for the whale, which belonged to the vast ocean but was now confined in the narrow aquarium. Although it was spared from being harmed by whalers, it also lost its freedom. Under this background, he depicted a deep-sea world with dolphin, jellyfish, and corals in his painting, which seemed calm but contained hidden dangers. "On this vast planet, the biodiversity on the earth's surface is well known. But mysterious and unique ecosystems are also hidden in the ocean's depths. I want to express my reverence for nature and raise more awareness and reflection on the survival crisis of marine life. I hope human beings can work together to protect the beautiful nature," Kevin said.

表达自我是艺术创作永恒的课题，戏剧表演是Kevin用艺术与世界对话的另一种方式。幼年时的他看着同学在舞台上演出，一颗渴望在舞台上展示自我的种子悄然种下。在转入广州斐特思学习后，他在拓展课程中毫不犹豫选择了戏剧表演。他坦言，"最初只是想借此锻炼提升自己的英语口语，但在课上我逐渐挖掘出自己对戏剧表演的热爱，还交到了很多志同道合的好朋友。" Kevin在演绎每个角色前，都会搜集大量的资料去剖析、理解人物性格以及故事的时代背景，再将自己对角色的解读融入表情与肢体语言的表达当中。在饰演过的众多角色中，他最喜欢的是艺术节演出阿拉丁剧目中主角阿拉丁的好友Kassim一角：这位正直善良的青年一直无私地支持和帮助着好友，屡次在好友陷入困境时出手相助。钻研迪士尼版阿拉丁电影后，Kevin将这个角色演绎得更加调皮，并努力学习Kassim身上的热情正直。从内心感受出发，不断聆听和突破，Kevin通过饰演个性迥异的角色发掘出了自己更多的可能性，在广州斐特思提供的多样表演舞台上积极尝试着表达自我。

Self-expression is a timeless theme in art creation, and theatrical performance is another way for Kevin to communicate with the world. Kevin was envious of his classmates performing on stage when he was young. After transferring to FCG, he chose drama performance as an extracurricular course without hesitation. He admitted, "I just wanted to improve my English-speaking skills initially, but I gradually discovered my love for drama performance during the course and made many like-minded friends." Before portraying each character, Kevin would gather extensive materials to analyse and understand the character's personality and the era's background. After that, he integrates his own interpretation of the character into his facial expressions and body language. Among his roles, Kassim, the friend of Aladdin in the protagonist Aladdin, is his favourite: this upright and kind young man has always selflessly supported and helped his friend and has always come to his aid many times when his friend is in trouble. After studying the Disney movie version of Aladdin, Kevin portrayed the character more mischievously and also tried to learn Kassim's enthusiasm and integrity. Kevin has discovered more possibilities for himself through acting in diverse characters and will continue to express himself actively on more performance stages.

对艺术有着无限热爱的Kevin，并不给自己的未来专业选择设限。在艺术的天地里探索之余，他还从学术科目的学习中收获了成长：充满趣味性的课堂极大地激发出他对数学学习的热情，并在期末考试中取得了全班第一名的好成绩。数学老师Tim用今年春晚火爆全网的卡牌魔术为同学们讲解约瑟夫环问题给Kevin留下了很深的印象："轻松有趣的学习过程使我课后更加刻苦地钻研和请教老师问题。" 

Kevin has an endless love for art, but it doesn't limit his future professional choices. In addition to exploring the world of art, he has also grown through his academic studies: the interesting classes have sparked his passion for mathematics and helped him get the top grade on the final exam. His mathematics teacher, Tim Hu, impressed Kevin with his explanation of the Josephus problem using card conjuring: "The fun and engaging learning process has made me study harder and ask more questions after class."

Kevin的故事是同学们在校园积极向上、勇敢突破自我的缩影。他们的每一次探索与尝试，终将创造无限可能。

Kevin's story epitomizes students' positive progress and courageous self-breakthroughs in FCG. Their every exploration and attempt will create countless possibilities.
