“仁义礼智信”被称为“五常”,是儒家思想的核心概念,在中国传统文化中起着重要作用。“信”,其文字上的含义是“人言”, 意味着一个人应当对自己的承诺和言语负责,做到言行一致,诚实守信。
2024年10月14日至18日,MYP学部的学生们远赴桂林与阳朔,展开了一场以“信”为核心主题的探究之旅。这次五天四夜的旅程,将自然景观与人文体验完美融合,围绕“真诚待人、信心培养、诚实守信、信任建立、信任传递”五大模块展开,旨在通过沉浸式的实践活动,让学生更深刻地理解并践行“信”的价值。
From 14th to 18th October 2024, MYP students travelled to Guilin and Yangshuo to explore the theme of ‘Faith’. The five-day and four-night journey was a perfect blend of natural landscapes and humanistic experiences, centred on the five modules of ‘Treating People with Sincerity, Cultivating Confidence, Honesty and Faithfulness, Building Trust, and Transmitting Trust’, which aimed to enable students to better understand and practice the value of ‘Faith’ through immersive practical activities. 学生们的探究从龙脊梯田的壮美景观拉开序幕。学生们漫步在蜿蜒而上的田埂中,他们不仅欣赏到稻田秋色与山川风光,还深入黄洛红瑶寨,学习红瑶族的民俗文化,观察当地居民的长发传统。学生们与村民交流,体会到不同文化中真诚待人的力量。
The students' exploration kicked off with the magnificent scenery of the Longji Terraces. As the students strolled through the winding ridges, they not only enjoyed the autumn colours of the rice paddies and the mountain scenery, but also delved into the Huangluo Hongyao Walled City to learn about the folk culture of the Hongyao ethnic group and to observe the tradition of long hair of the local residents. The students interacted with the villagers and experienced the power of treating people with sincerity in different cultures.

龙脊梯田是桂林自然美景的杰出代表,整个梯田依山而建,上下最大落差超过了800米,形成了震撼人心的视觉盛宴。它不仅是自然风光的瑰宝,也是瑶族等少数民族文化的缩影,体现了不同历史时期对当地少数民族的重要性与关联性。

今天,我和同学们去了龙脊梯田。刚开始,我们乘坐缆车上山,缆车周围烟雾缭绕,美丽动人,令我魂牵梦绕,仿佛身在意境中,心中无杂念,唯有平静的心。上山后,我们观看了完整的龙脊梯田。我们站在山顶,俯视着山下的一切,一层又一层的梯田挨个躺在群山之中,再加上令人赞美的云层,一副诗意的山水画便出现在眼前。
桂林山水甲天下,玉碧罗青意可参。在风景如画的漓江,同学们乘船在山川间游玩,欣赏奇山秀水,静静感受大自然的壮丽,感悟人与自然的联结。
The landscape of Guilin is the most beautiful in the world, and the jade is so beautiful that you can see it. In the picturesque Li River, students travelled by boat among the mountains and rivers, appreciated the strange mountains and beautiful water, quietly felt the magnificence of nature, and perceived the connection between man and nature.

游漓江是一个沉浸于山水的旅行,桂林山水之下更是桂林之精华。漓江之水,清澈如镜,倒映着两岸奇山秀水,仿佛一幅流动的山水画卷。乘船缓缓前行,百里山川美景,尽收眼底,令人心旷神怡。这就是漓江,让我们好似也成为了一景。

游漓江是这次阳朔的行程中让我印象深刻的一个项目,这是一次自然美景的旅行,桂林山水甲天下,阳朔漓江更是桂林之精华。漓江的水清澈如镜,两岸的山川都尽收我眼底,这次游漓江的项目让我心旷神怡,流连忘返。
在教练的指导下,学生们体验了飞拉达(铁道式攀登)和漓江皮划艇的挑战。面对陡峭岩壁和激流,他们一次次鼓起勇气,走出心理舒适区,体验了克服恐惧后的成就感。在皮划艇体验中,他们掌握了划桨技巧,学会在变化的水流中掌控方向,感悟到相信自己和团队合作的重要性。
Under the guidance of the instructors, the students experienced the challenges of Ferrata (railway style climbing) and Li River kayaking. Facing steep rock walls and rapids, they plucked up courage time and again, stepped out of their psychological comfort zone, and experienced the sense of achievement after overcoming their fears. In the kayaking experience, they mastered paddling skills, learnt to control the direction in changing currents, and learnt the importance of believing in themselves and teamwork.

这是我第一次参加飞拉达,我在山脚下看着那一根根细细的钢索我双腿直打颤,可是我不能临阵逃脱,于是壮起胆子,穿上了装备。刚到半山腰,我就遇到了一个巨大的挑战,在山峰的转角有一块上凸下凹的岩壁,我使劲了全身的力气也不知如何才能过去,这时我突然想到如果我两只脚踩在同一块板子上呢?俗话说得好;实践出真知。随着两只脚的落下,我的身体开始退缩,但下山的信念支撑着我,让我完成了这次挑战。正是因为我的勇于尝试,让我在阳朔之旅没有了遗憾,所以只要你勇于尝试,就不会有完不成的挑战,就像飞拉达一样。

我和同学们去体验了惊险又刺激的飞拉达,在教练的带领下,我们准备挑战自我的极限。我们在站在岩壁上,身边只有钩子和梯子陪伴着我们看着脚下的山谷,我未免有些害怕,但看到同学们坚定而又自信的登上山顶后,我也慢慢的克服恐惧。在最后我来到了山顶,望着这一望无际的风景,我不仅对我完成飞拉达感到自豪和喜悦。这次活动让我领略到自然的魅力同时,也增进了和同学的关系。

我认为飞拉达是最刺激的一项活动,我们要先爬上山顶,然后滑钢索到对面,走钢丝回到半山腰,最后像消防员一样从岩壁上速滑下来。这个项目让恐高的人变得勇敢起来。这次飞拉达的途中还有许多温馨的画面:鼓励别人、帮别人把卡住的绳子整理好等,所以我认为飞拉达是这次探究里面最好玩的一项。

听老师讲解皮划艇这项运动最早起源于北美洲的一个原始部落,最开始是用来狩猎的,到后来才逐渐演变成一项竞技运动。在最开始教练知道我们如何划皮划艇时我们一致认为很简单,知道自己上手尝试时才发现船的方向其实很难掌控,我下来时虎口都磨破了。我认为这是一项锻炼我们体能,协调性以及平衡感的运动。也同时达到了IB十大培养目标中的勇于尝试(Risk-Taker)。

我认为皮划艇很大的考验了我们的体能,如果你没有很强的体能,你在前期可以很快但在后期速度会大大降低。皮划艇也考验了我们的平衡,如果你的平衡能力差的话,有很大的可能翻船。我感觉我在前期划得很快但是在后面,体能差了点导致我只获得了第四名。如果还有机会,我还想划皮划艇。

我认为皮划艇可以很好地培养我们的意志力和体能,体现了勇于挑战的IB学习者素养,在这个过程中,我们需要坚持不懈地划船,并且要以正确的方式划,而且最好不要停下休息,因为一旦停下就会有人超过你,当我获得了第三名后,我有很强的成就感。
探索之旅还包括一次深入喀斯特溶洞的探秘活动。在导师的带领下,学生们戴上头盔、点亮头灯,穿越洞中的暗河与钟乳石迷宫。在这场探险中,他们不仅学习了地质知识,还意识到人与自然和谐共处的重要性。通过团队合作,他们克服了沿途的重重障碍,将理论学习转化为实践经验。
The Discovery Tour also included an exploration deep into a karst cave. Led by their instructors, the students donned helmets and lit headlamps and travelled through a maze of dark rivers and stalactites in the cave. During this adventure, they not only learnt about geology, but also realised the importance of living in harmony with nature. Through teamwork, they overcame the obstacles along the way and transformed their theoretical learning into practical experience.

在我没进洞之前我还会有点慌张,在次之前教练曾说过洞内没有一点光,但我依旧尝试了。进到洞内我看见我之前从未见过的壮观景象,一群犹如小竹笋的钟乳石屹立在洞顶和地板上,我们还了解到了钟乳石要100年才能长高一厘米左右,教官在有水的空地让我们关掉灯仔细聆听洞内自然的声音。到了后半段就是地下河了,我们从超过膝盖的水中穿过了很多洞最后花费大量精力才从洞中出来。从小我就听妈妈说过“一切事物都要先尝试一下才能评价这件事物的好坏”经历了这个项目我算是知道了这句话的含义,在我进溶洞前还因它会很黑和会湿裤子而害怕,在我进去后我却看到了我至今难忘的一幕。所以所有事情都要有第一次,或许尝试后会对一件事有新的看法。

在溶洞里,钟乳石、石笋、石柱…等大自然的鬼斧神工的产物让人由衷敬仰。随着逐渐深入我也了解了溶洞构造,地下河和穿越狭小的洞穴能体现出积极探究的特性,在一步步的脚印见证下我出了洞穴,享受着胜利的曙光照在我的身上,我的心中充满自豪。
学生们在攀岩项目中,克服了对高度的恐惧,尝试在岩壁边缘跨出信任的一步。他们借助岩壁上的手点和脚点,互相鼓励、团结协作,最终成功登顶,收获了巨大的成就感。
Students overcame their fear of heights and attempted to take a step of trust at the edge of the cliff during the rock climbing programme. With the help of hand and foot points on the rock face, they encouraged each other and worked as a team to reach the top, reaping a great sense of achievement.

徒手攀岩是一项极具挑战性活动。尽管不同的线路难度也不相同,但是无论是男生女生,都勇于尝试。爬山的每一步,留下的每一滴汗水,都充斥着坚毅和勇敢,登顶的那一刻,阳朔的绿水青山尽收眼底,下定决心做出的一切,将来都不会后悔,不论怎样,这都是一场充满意义的试炼。

今天下午,我和同学们去玩了刺激的极限运动-攀岩。我很快就在教练的帮助下穿好了装备。看着眼前的岩壁,我不禁跃跃欲试,很快,我就挑战完了第一条线。我开始自大起来,就选择了一条最难的线,看到同学们陆续登顶了,我就觉得很简单,结果我连续爬了两次,第一次爬了四分之三,结果因为找不到支点退了下来,第二次我爬到一半就因为体力不支下来了。因此,我也明白了一个道理,人生最大的失败就是自大。稳扎稳打才能取得成功。
学生们化身为市场调研员和义卖小能手,走上历史悠久的阳朔西街。他们与行人互动、设计问卷、观察市场动态,为即将开展的义卖做好准备。义卖活动以“行走的职教盒子”为主题,所得善款捐赠给广东岭南教育慈善基金会,用于支持乡村儿童的职业启蒙教育。学生们准备了精美的的手工艺品、纪念品等,最让人印象深刻的是八年级学生钟子涵的街头素描,吸引了众多游客驻足。
The students took to the historic West Street of Yangshuo, disguised as market researchers and bazaar masters. They interacted with pedestrians, designed questionnaires and observed the market dynamics in preparation for the upcoming bazaar. The theme of the sale was ‘Walking Vocational Education Box’ and the proceeds were donated to the Guangdong Lingnan Education Charity Foundation to support vocational education for rural children. The students prepared beautiful handicrafts and souvenirs, and the most impressive was the street sketch by 801 student Zhong Zihan, which attracted many visitors.

我认为西街义卖体现了我们IB十大学习素养的善于交流(Communicator),这也是阳朔线路最独特的传承。第一,作为公益宣传者,我们一直被路人拒绝,但后面才知道要找对受众,这也多亏我们摄影老师张凯源老师的提醒。其次,我认为每一个献爱心的人都是天使,出于对我们的信任,这些捐赠者都为山村儿童贡献了一份爱心。最后,通过这次义卖活动,我们也真实感受到了现实工作的艰辛,希望下次还有机会做公益活动。

这次我们做了一个特别有意义的活动—公益义卖,为乡村孩子筹集资金。在义卖中,我们学到了如何吸引顾客,如何介绍产品,也体验到了被顾客拒绝和赞赏的经历,这些经历教会了我们沟通技巧,情感技巧等等。希望下次还能有这样的机会去体验更多有意义的活动。
学生在本次义卖中收获良多,很多学生从一开始的不敢出声,到叫卖声越来越大,从一开始的摊位前走动,到跑到很远的地方介绍义卖摊位,当然筹集的善款也越来越多。同学们践行了IB所倡导的勇于挑战、善于沟通等学习者素养,预计在晚上8点半结束的义卖也推迟到了9点半才结束。
The students gained a lot from the bazaar, many of them started from being afraid to make a sound to shouting louder and louder, from walking in front of the stalls to running far away to introduce the stalls, and of course, raised more and more money. The students practised the learner qualities advocated by IB, such as the courage to challenge and good communication, and the bazaar, which was expected to end at 8:30pm, was postponed to 9:30pm.
本次义卖共收到近千元善款, 同学们的努力和善举展现了I-EP学子的爱心和社会责任感,也体现了I-EP坚毅课程“勇于思考、勇于实践、勇于担当”的教育理念。我们相信,这样的爱心行动将激励更多的学生关注社会问题,积极参与公益事业,为身边的社区带去更多积极的影响力。
The charity sale received nearly 1,000 RMB, and the students' efforts and acts of kindness demonstrated the love and sense of social responsibility of I-EP students, and also embodied the educational philosophy of I-EP Perseverance Programme, which is “Courage to Think, Courage to Practice, and Courage to Take Charge”. We believe that such acts of love will inspire more students to pay attention to social issues, actively participate in public welfare, and bring more positive influence to the community around them.
学生们在阳朔的厨房学校变身小厨师,学习烹饪当地特色菜。在这里,每位学生都有自己的厨位,在主厨的指导下完成蒸、煎、炒等多种烹饪任务。烹饪过程中,他们分工协作、互相帮助,体验到团队合作的乐趣。
Students are transformed into little chefs at the Kitchen School in Yangshuo, learning to cook local specialities. Here, each student has his or her own kitchen seat and completes a variety of cooking tasks such as steaming, pan-frying and stir-frying under the guidance of the chef. During the cooking process, they share the work and help each other, experiencing the fun of teamwork.

作为一个美食爱好者,今天有幸参加了这项活动。我学到了新的中国菜就比如像炒河粉、蛋饺等。我觉得我做的蛋饺最好吃,做出来的成品就像发光的料理。金黄焦脆的表皮下是蘑菇肉沫馅儿的。这是一项非常有趣的体验。

我认为厨房学校可以培养我们的生活技能,体现了坚持原则(principle)的IB学习者素养,因为在这个过程中,我们需要认真聆听,否则我们将无法完成一个美味的菜品。在这个项目的过程中,同学们会互相学习完成一道菜品。在最后做好一道菜后,同学们都充满了成就感。
这次阳朔探究之旅不仅是一次知识的旅程,更是一次心灵的洗礼。学生们在山水之间重新审视自我,在挑战与合作中发现潜能,在公益活动中践行诚信。此次探究活动结束后,学生们纷纷表示,他们不仅收获了知识与友谊,更坚定了内心的信念:用行动去践行诚信,用信任去连接世界。
This Yangshuo exploration trip was not only a journey of knowledge, but also a baptism of the soul. Students re-examined themselves in the landscape, discovered their potential in challenges and cooperation, and practised integrity in public welfare activities. At the end of this exploration activity, students said that they not only gained knowledge and friendship, but also strengthened their inner beliefs: to practice integrity with actions and to connect the world with trust.
在阳朔这片土地上,学生们深入挖掘“信”文化的内涵,将其与阳朔的自然美景和人文风情相结合,通过实地考察与体验,在阳朔的青山绿水间,感受“信”的力量与美好。从真诚待人的互动交流中,到诚实守信的市场实践;从信任建立的团队合作,到信任传递的公益行动,每一个环节围绕着“信”的主题展开。
In the land of Yangshuo, the students explored the connotation of the culture of ‘Faith’, combined it with the natural beauty and humanities of Yangshuo, and felt the power and beauty of ‘Faith’ in the green mountains and green waters of Yangshuo through field trips and experiences. From the interaction of treating people with sincerity to the market practice of honesty and trustworthiness, from the teamwork of trust building to the public welfare action of trust transmission, each link is centred on the theme of ‘Faith’.
