On November 16th, ISA Tianhe School held an Awards Ceremony to celebrate the impressive achievements of the children in the LAMDA examinations, the Mathematics Olympiad, and to recognize the student council members.

11月16日，爱莎天河学校举行了颁奖典礼，庆祝孩子们在英国伦敦戏剧学院考试（LAMDA）、新加坡国际数学奥林匹克挑战赛（SIMOC）中取得的傲人成绩以及对学生会学生的表彰。

ISA Tianhe successfully became a LAMDA examination centre in 2021, providing students with a platform to enhance their communication skills and boost their confidence. Poetry learning is an essential part of the English curriculum at ISA Tianhe.  Studying poetry not only improves children's expressive abilities but also cultivates their character and temperament. All students from EY4 to Y5 will engage in poetry appreciation during their English classes. The school encourages children to learn poetry recitation and bravely challenge themselves by reciting in front of examiners from the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art.

爱莎天河于2021年成功申请成为了LAMDA考试中心，为学生提供了一个锻炼沟通交流能力和增强自信心的平台。诗歌学习是爱莎天河学校英语课程的重要部分。腹有诗书气自华，学习诗歌不仅可以提高孩子们的表达能力，还可以陶冶情操、塑造性格，培养气质。从幼儿园大班至五年级的所有学生都会在英语课上学习诗歌鉴赏，学校鼓励孩子们学习诗歌朗诵，并勇敢挑战自己，向来自英国伦敦戏剧艺术学院的考官朗诵。

At the Awards Ceremony, students performed in groups to recite their poems from memory. The beauty of poetry is that once learned, the poems stay in our memories for years to come, so there was no doubt that the students would remember the poems they learnt before the summer. 

在颁奖典礼上，学生们和他们的小伙伴们一起，自信地向家人、老师们展示了他们在考试中曾朗诵的诗歌。诗歌的魅力在于，经过鉴赏和学习，这份美好就会在记忆中萦绕多年。因此，学生们对于在暑假前学习的诗歌仍印象深刻。

Parents were then invited on to the stage to experience first-hand the experience of speaking in public to an audience. Ms. Beth asked the parents to say a ‘tongue twister’ which is one of the warmup games we play with the children in our drama and performance lessons. Parents soon realized how difficult it can be to confidently deliver a poem with expression and awareness of mood, to an audience.

为了让家长们体验孩子们参加考试的感受，校长Ms.Beth邀请家长们上台，亲身体验当众演讲的感觉。我们准备了有趣的"绕口令"诗歌，让家长们尝试像孩子们一样朗诵，这是戏剧和表演课上的热身游戏之一。通过这个游戏，家长们切身体会到了孩子们参加考试的感受，意识到孩子们能自信地将一首诗歌生动地传达给观众，并让观众感同身受该诗歌想表达的情感，是一件具有挑战性的事情。我们应该为孩子们取得的成绩感到自豪！

At this ceremony, we celebrated the outstanding achievements of our students in the mathematics competition. We presented SIMOC certificates and awards to the finalists who excelled in the international competition. Under the dedicated guidance of our maths department, the students have significantly improved their mathematical skills. They were well-prepared to compete on the world stage against children from various countries. 

在本次颁奖典礼上，我们共同庆祝了孩子们在数学竞赛中取得的优异成绩。我们为在国际决赛中脱颖而出的选手颁发了SIMOC比赛证书和奖项。在数学组老师的悉心指导下，参赛学生的数学能力日益增强。他们做了充分的准备，站在了世界舞台上与来自各国的孩子们一较高下。 

To encourage parents' acknowledgment of their great achievements, Mr. Tom, our maths coordinator arranged for a fun competition where parents competed against the students to see who could calculate the fastest and most accurately.

为了让家长了解孩子们的能力，数学协调员Mr. Tom安排了一场有趣的小比赛，让家长们与孩子们同台切磋，计算速度最快、最准确的参赛者获胜。

As an important organisation within the school, the Student Council aims to represent the voice and interests of all students. The members organise various activities, promote campus culture, and enhance students' sense of participation and belonging. Through planning and implementing a diverse range of events, the Student Council strengthens communication and collaboration among students. Additionally, the Student Council serves as a platform for developing leadership skills and teamwork, helping students improve themselves and cultivate a sense of responsibility through practical experience. During the award ceremony, we recognized the contributions of the Student Council members.

作为学校中一个重要的组织，学生会旨在代表全体学生的声音与利益。学生分成员组织了各类活动、促进校园文化建设以及提升同学们的参与感和归属感。学生会成员通过策划和实施丰富多彩的活动，增强同学们之间的交流与合作。同时，学生会也是一个锻炼领导能力和团队合作精神的平台，帮助学生们在实践中提升自我，培养责任感。在颁奖典礼上，我们对学生会成员的付出进行了表彰，他们的付出是爱莎“行动”理念的最佳体现。
