UISZ held a meaningful event on December 14th - the official launch of the Forest School.  This day not only marked a solid step in our in-depth exploration of nature education, but was also an opportunity for families eager to explore the wonders of nature education to get up close and personal with our unique educational philosophy.  A large number of families gathered together for an unforgettable day filled with diverse nature activities and a feast of fun and education.

誉德莱增城校区于12月14日举行了一场意义非凡的活动——森林学校的正式启动仪式。这一天，不仅标志着我们对自然教育的深度探索迈出了坚实的一步，更是一次让渴望探索自然教育奇迹的家庭近距离接触并融入我们独特教育理念的机会。众多家庭欢聚一堂，共同参与了一场充满多样自然活动、寓教于乐的盛宴，度过了难忘的一天。

On the day of the event, our Head of School, Mr. Mike Bailey, and our Primary Head of School, Ms. Tara O'Brien, personally greeted each and every one of our guests with enthusiasm and an open mind. Their smiles and graciousness, like the warm winter sun, warmed the hearts of every participant. Ms. Tara O'Brien, in particular, is not only a visionary educator, but also a passionate advocate of nature education. At the launch ceremony, she delivered an engaging talk, explaining in depth how forest education and the IB PYP (International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme) curriculum can be seamlessly integrated to support students' learning journeys.

Ms. Tara emphasized that forest education is more than just getting children outdoors to play; it is a way of educating children with nature as their teacher and the path of exploration. It encourages children to observe, think, and solve problems in a real-world environment, thus developing their powers of observation, imagination, and creativity. At the same time, by integrating the six themes of IB PYP with each other and the various aspects of forest education, children are able to deepen their understanding and application of knowledge in practice, and realize the interdisciplinary integration of knowledge. This innovative education model not only enriches the children's learning experience, but also stimulates their deep curiosity and desire to explore.

At the event, the audience was deeply attracted by Ms. Tara's wonderful speech, they sometimes nodded their heads in agreement, sometimes fell into contemplation, and were obviously touched by this new educational concept. After the lecture, the discussion remained lively, with parents putting forward their own insights and questions, and having in-depth exchanges and discussions with Ms. Tara. They expressed that such an educational concept not only conforms to the trend of the times, but is also closer to the needs of children's growth, and will have a far-reaching impact on their children's future development.
