在华外这片充满智慧与梦想的热土上，我们共同迎来了一个值得铭记的时刻——华外10周年庆典。十年风雨兼程，十年春华秋实，华外以其独特的教学理念和卓越的教育成果，培育了一代又一代的优秀学子。今天，我们有幸聆听I-EP中学王心雅同学的心声，感受她在华外成长的点点滴滴，共同见证这段辉煌历程的璀璨篇章。

In this land of wisdom and dreams, we celebrated HW's 10th anniversary. For ten years, HW has taught generations of outstanding students. Today, we will hear from Sara, a student at I-EP MYP. She will share her experiences at HW and to celebrate the institution's bright future.

在踏入华外校园之前，心雅已对华外有所耳闻，其优美的环境和独特的校服设计让她心生憧憬。正式成为华外学子后，心雅的这份期待更是转化为了深刻的感受。

Sara had heard about HW and wanted to go there. When she became a student, she fell in love with it.

学习上，华外强调将本土教育跟国际教育融合，倡导“更中国、更世界”，这独树一帜的教学理念让心雅耳目一新。与前校相比，这里的学习氛围更为浓厚，学科设置更为扎实。尤其是I-EP中学阶段，心雅感觉更加明显：学习难度逐渐增加，对个人时间、精力分配都提出了更高的挑战。如何克服这些困难，对心雅而言，是一个全新的挑战！

HW combines local and international education. Its teaching philosophy is "more Chinese, more worldly." This is refreshing to Sara. The learning atmosphere is stronger and the subject setup is more solid. Especially at I-EP MYP, the difficulty of learning gradually increases, which poses a higher challenge to the allocation of personal time and energy. How to overcome these difficulties is a new challenge for Sara!

好在心雅“遇强则强”，通过不断调整学习规划与方法，找到了一条适合自己的路：

Fortunately, Sara is able to adapt well. She has found a suitable path for herself.

华外的师生氛围同样让心雅感到温暖。印象最深刻的，就是班主任刘芙萌老师了，刘老师非常关心学生的心理状态，经常通过体育活动、班级派对等方式帮助学生缓解压力。

The teachers and students at HW are friendly. Ms. Liu Fumeng, the class teacher, is especially nice. She helps students relax through sports and parties.

“记得有一次体育课，刘老师带着我们在操场上，练习跳高以及其他有氧运动，通过反复的起跳跟降落，让大家放松压力。此外，他还经常带我们在班里开派对，给我们买好吃的，跟我们打成一片，就好像我们的家长一样爱护着我们。当然，其他老师也很优秀，我记得有位老师在开班会的时候，还给我们每个人买了个自拍杆，现在回想起来就觉得特别有趣。”

在与同学的相处中，心雅发现大家都非常明确自己的目标，都在为自己的梦想努力。这样的氛围让心雅感到既幸运又开心。如果时光能够倒流，让她重新选择学校，心雅说：

Sara realized that her classmates were clear about their goals and were working hard for their dreams. She felt lucky and happy at HW. She would choose HW again without hesitation! She has found her own stage and the infinite vision of the future.

在华外的沃土上，心雅不仅学术上取得了骄人的成绩，每学期都能收获满满的学术荣誉证书；在兴趣爱好的领域里，她也同样大放异彩。

In HW, Sara did well in school and had lots of academic honors. She also did well in her hobbies.

她曾参加了十八届冰心全国书画比赛，获得了金奖，作品还被全国爱国主义教育基地黄花岗七十二烈士墓收藏。也曾经代表广东参与粤港澳台青少年书法展开幕式，与港澳台三地青少年现场挥毫共写“中华腾飞”；还在“第十一届全国规范汉字书写大会”上，斩获初中组全国一等奖。

She won the Gold Medal in the 18th Bingxin National Painting and Calligraphy Competition and her works were collected by the National Patriotism Education Base Huanghuagang 72 Martyrs' Tomb. She also took part in the Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Youth Calligraphy Exhibition, writing "China Takes Flight" with youths from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. She also won the junior high school group first prize at the 11th National Standardized Chinese Character Writing Contest.

除了书画之外，心雅在声乐和拉丁舞方面也有着不俗的表现。她曾在“央音”全国青少年艺术展演中荣获独唱银奖，在聚星杯青少年体育舞蹈公开赛上夺得单人恰恰第一名。每一次站在舞台上，她都能感受到那份来自内心的喜悦和自信。

Sara is also skilled at singing and dancing. She has won medals for singing and dancing. She enjoys performing on stage.

心雅深知，自己的成功离不开自律和坚持，“practice makes perfect”。在合理安排时间，确保作业按时完成的基础上，心雅也通过参加各种比赛和活动来锻炼自己的口语和听力能力。在2023年，她参加了全球理解力英文辩论赛，并获得了第八名的好成绩；在2024年暑假，心雅又备战了雅思。虽然过程很艰辛，但她最终以6.5分的好成绩，为自己的努力画上了圆满的句号。

Sara knows success comes from self-discipline and persistence. Practice makes perfect. Sara also takes part in competitions to practise her speaking and listening skills. In 2023, she took part in the Global Comprehension English Debate Competition and came eighth. In the summer of 2024, she prepared for the IELTS. She got a good score of 6.5.

作为ISTP性格的心雅（16型人格中的一种人格类型，I代表内向，S代表实感，T代表理智，P代表依赖），其实是一个相对随性的人。面对未来，她一方面会继续努力学习各种技能来丰富自己的知识储备和人生经历，将“技多不压身”贯彻到底；另一方面，则是希望在成长的过程中，逐渐找到自己喜欢做的事情。

As an Istp (type 16 personality) , Sara is spontaneous. She will keep learning new skills to expand her knowledge and experience. She hopes to find what she likes as she grows up.

父母对心雅的选择和爱好给予了极大的支持和理解。他们总是鼓励她勇敢追求自己的梦想和爱好，让她在成长的道路上更加自信和坚定。在拉丁舞比赛时，妈妈更是像经纪人一样陪伴着她，帮忙买棕油、约老师。这种无私的爱和支持让心雅感到无比幸福和感激。

Her parents support her choices and hobbies. They encourage her to pursue her dreams and hobbies, making her more confident. During the Latin dance competition, her mom accompanied her, helping to buy palm oil and make appointments with teachers. This made Sara happy and grateful.

对于华外的10周年庆典，心雅心中充满了激动和自豪。她希望华外能够越办越好，有更多优秀的学生能够加入华外共同学习和成长；也希望华外的老师们，桃李满天下。

Sara is excited and proud for HW's 10th anniversary. She hopes HW will keep getting better and that more great students will join. She also hopes the teachers will be happy with lots of students.

在华外10周年的欢歌笑语中，我们仿佛看到了心雅以及无数华外学子们的美好未来。他们将以更加坚定的步伐，踏上逐梦的征途，用智慧和汗水书写属于自己的辉煌篇章。让我们共同期待，在华外这片充满希望的土地上，能够涌现出更多像心雅一样优秀的人才，为社会的进步和国家的发展贡献自己的力量。

同时，也祝愿华外在未来的日子里，能够继续秉承“更中国、更世界”的教学理念，培养出更多具有国际视野和本土情怀的杰出人才，共同书写华外更加辉煌的明天！

The songs and laughter of the 10th anniversary of HW show a bright future for Sara and many HW students. They will work harder and write their own great stories. We look forward to more talents like Xinya emerging on this promising land of HW. We also wish HW will continue to cultivate more outstanding talents with international vision and local sentiment.
