从华外同文到爱丁堡，这支乐团正在创造艺术传奇

2024年，在“中外人文交流小使者”爱丁堡国际艺术节的“中国故事”专场演出中，华外同文管弦乐团受国家教育部人文交流中心之邀，代表中国青少年踏上了这场艺术的朝圣之旅。在爱丁堡那座充满艺术气息的城市里，乐团成员们犹如灵动的音符使者，以超凡的演奏技巧和炽热的情感，奏响了中华音乐的独特旋律。每一个音符都承载着中华民族深厚的文化底蕴，如同点点星光，汇聚成璀璨的银河，照亮了整个国际艺术节的舞台，一举斩获团队金奖的殊荣。 

In 2024, our school orchestra was invited by the Humanities Exchange Center of the Ministry of Education to represent the Chinese youth to embark on this artistic pilgrimage in the "China Story" special performance of the Edinburgh International Festival of "Little Messengers of Chinese and Foreign Humanities Exchange". In the city of Edinburgh, which is full of artistic flavor, the members of the orchestra were like messengers of spiritual notes, playing the unique melody of Chinese music with extraordinary playing skills and passionate emotions. Each note carries the deep cultural heritage of the Chinese nation, like a piece of starlight that converges into a bright galaxy, illuminating the whole stage of the International Arts Festival and winning the team gold award at a stroke. 

在苏格兰皇家音乐学院，这座音乐巨匠的摇篮里，乐团成员们如同海绵吸水一般，贪婪地汲取着国际音乐教授们的智慧与经验。教授们的悉心指导，如同春风化雨，滋润着每一位成员的心田，让他们的音乐之路愈发宽广，艺术追求也迈向了新的高度。

At the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, the cradle of musical giants, the orchestra members were like sponges sucking water, greedily absorbing the wisdom and experience of international music professors. The attentive guidance of the professors, like spring breeze and rain, nourished each member's heart, making their musical path wider and wider and their artistic pursuit reach new heights.

随后，乐团带着在音乐学院收获的灵感，走进了苏格兰国家美术馆，进行了一场别开生面的路演。音乐与艺术珍品相互交织，共同谱写出一曲跨越时空与文化的绝美交响。

The orchestra then took the inspiration it gained at the Conservatoire to the National Gallery of Scotland for a unique roadshow. Music and art treasures intertwined to create a stunning symphony across time, space and culture.

而在爱丁堡一英里街的演出中，乐团的音乐更是像一座无形的桥梁，跨越了不同文化的鸿沟，让来自世界各地的观众沉浸其中，共同感受着音乐的无穷魅力。

During the performance on Edinburgh's One Mile Street, the orchestra's music acted as an invisible bridge, bridging the gap between different cultures and immersing audiences from around the world in the infinite charm of music.

这场艺术之旅，不仅是对音乐技艺的极致展示，更是一次对中华优秀传统文化的深情礼赞，向世界传递了中国青少年的无限活力与文化自信。

This artistic journey is not only an extreme display of musical skill, but also a profound tribute to the excellent traditional Chinese culture, conveying to the world the infinite vitality and cultural confidence of Chinese youth.

同年12月14 - 15日，广东省第六届校际管乐节盛大启幕。这场由广东省管乐协会精心策划的音乐盛会，吸引了全省170余支精英管乐团齐聚一堂，竞争可谓是白热化。

On December 14 and 15 of the same year, the 6th Guangdong Provincial Inter-School Wind Music Festival was held in a grand style. This music event, carefully planned by the Guangdong Wind Music Association, brought together more than 170 elite wind bands in the province, and the competition could be described as white-hot.

在这场激烈的角逐中，我校管乐团凭借着炉火纯青的演奏技巧、心有灵犀的默契配合以及对音乐深刻独到的理解，从众多优秀队伍中脱颖而出，一举荣获“广东省示范乐团”的称号，成为了全场瞩目的焦点。乐团指挥边宏剑老师，以其卓越的指挥才华和对音乐的深刻感悟，在众多指挥家中脱颖而出，荣获优秀指挥奖。

In this fierce competition, our school's wind band won the title of "Guangdong Provincial Demonstration Orchestra" and became the center of attention of the whole audience due to its pure playing skills, tacit cooperation and deep and unique understanding of music, which made it stand out from many other excellent teams. The conductor of the orchestra, Mr. Bian Hongjian, stood out from many other conductors and won the Outstanding Conductor's Award for his outstanding conducting talent and deep understanding of music.

比赛中，乐团演奏的高难度曲目《巴比伦河畔》，宛如一场惊心动魄的音乐冒险。华外学子们凭借着“善开顶峰船，勇走上坡路”的无畏精神，在音乐的海洋中破浪前行，用精彩绝伦的演奏，赢得了全场观众和评委的一致赞誉。

During the competition, the orchestra played the difficult piece "On the Banks of Babylon", which was like an exciting musical adventure. With the fearless spirit of "driving the boat to the top and walking uphill", the students of Huawai broke the waves in the sea of music and won the unanimous praise of the audience and the judges with their wonderful performance.
