在元宵佳节的余韵中，SSAL迎来了崭新的学期。校园各处焕然一新，老师们精心布置了新春开学装饰，如喜庆的对联、象征希望的许愿树等，为校园增添了浓厚的节日氛围。伴随着春天的脚步，同学们陆续返校，重新投入到学习与成长的旅程中，校园里再次洋溢着欢声笑语与青春活力。

As the festive spirit of the Lantern Festival lingers, SSAL ushers in a brand-new semester. The campus has been meticulously decorated by teachers with spring-themed ornaments such as festive couplets and wish trees, creating a vibrant and celebratory atmosphere. With renewed enthusiasm, students are returning to school, ready to embark on a new academic journey. Once again, the campus is filled with laughter, energy, and the joy of learning.

新学期启航，共绘成长蓝图

A Fresh Start: Charting the Path for Growth

开学第一天，SSAL在教学楼一楼报告厅隆重举行了2024-2025学年第二学期开学典礼，全体师生齐聚一堂，共同展望新学期的发展方向，携手踏上新的征程。本次典礼由Rey与David两位同学以中英双语主持，展现了SSAL学子的卓越素养与多元文化氛围。

On the first day of the semester, SSAL held the Opening Ceremony for the Second Semester of the 2024-2025 Academic Year in the lecture hall on the first floor of the teaching building. The entire faculty and student body gathered to look ahead to the new semester and embark on a journey of growth together. The event was hosted by students Rey and David in both Chinese and English, showcasing the outstanding qualities and multicultural environment of SSAL students.

典礼上，教学校长发表致辞，介绍了新学期学校即将开展的一系列创新与多元化的教学活动，如英语词汇大赛、艺术研学、生物化实验周等。这些精心策划的活动不仅丰富了课程体系，还为同学们带来了探索知识的乐趣，助力大家提升学术能力，拓宽学习视野。

此外，SSAL教学团队还为同学们制定了详细的学科考试规划和雅思考试计划，全力支持同学们在学术道路上稳步前行，帮助大家夯实学业基础，为未来深造做好充分准备。

During the ceremony, the Academic Principal delivered a speech outlining a series of innovative and diverse educational activities planned for the new semester, such as the English Vocabulary Competition, Art Research Excursion, and Biology & Chemistry Experiment Week. Carefully designed by teachers, these activities aim to make learning an engaging and enriching experience while enhancing students’ academic abilities.

In addition, the SSAL academic team has developed a detailed subject examination plan and an IELTS preparation strategy to support students in their studies, ensuring they are well-equipped for future academic endeavors.

竞赛展风采，佳绩创新高

Embracing New Challenges: Striving for Excellence

在典礼上，教研主任对同学们在学术竞赛中的优异表现给予了高度肯定，并对本学期即将开展的重点竞赛进行了梳理和介绍，鼓励大家积极参与。他强调，竞赛团队将始终陪伴在大家身边，为同学们答疑解惑，提供专业指导，助力大家勇攀高峰，在新学期取得更耀眼的成绩。

与此同时，学校还对在德、智、体、美、劳方面表现突出的学生进行了表彰，以此激励更多同学勇敢追求卓越，在成长的道路上不断突破自我。

The Director of Academic Affairs also commended students for their outstanding performance in academic competitions and provided an overview of the key competitions scheduled for the spring semester. Encouraging students to participate actively, he emphasized that the competition team would continue to offer guidance, address challenges, and provide strategic advice to help students achieve even greater success in the new semester.

Furthermore, the school recognized and awarded students who excelled in various aspects of academics, sports, arts, and community service, inspiring more students to pursue excellence and push their limits.

New Year, New Goals: Planting the Seeds of Dreams

开学典礼的最后，同学们纷纷将自己的新学期愿望写在心愿卡上，并挂置于许愿树。这些心愿，有的承载着学术目标，有的寄托着生活梦想，每一笔一画都流露出对未来的美好期许。愿望卡的背后，是同学们坚定的决心与不懈的追求，仿佛一颗颗种子，静待春风拂过，茁壮成长。

在温馨与期待中，开学典礼圆满落下帷幕。新的学期已然开启，愿每一位SSAL学子都能不负韶华，勇敢追梦，书写属于自己的精彩篇章，绽放更加耀眼的光芒！

As part of the opening ceremony, students wrote down their aspirations for the new semester on wish cards and hung them on the wish tree. Some wishes reflected academic goals, while others expressed personal dreams and aspirations. With every heartfelt wish written down, students seemed to plant the seeds of their dreams, waiting for them to grow and flourish.

With warmth and anticipation, the Opening Ceremony concluded successfully. As we step into this new semester, we look forward to seeing each student achieve their aspirations, embrace their own unique journey, and shine even brighter!
