ISALW π Day丨数学不无聊!当小学生成为数学“造梦师”

"这不是普通的课堂,而是一场由小学生亲手设计的数学冒险!"在荔湾爱莎小学(国际方向)的π Day 国际数学日活动现场,Janice同学自豪地向低年级同学展示她设计的π手链。


当数学公式从课本跃入闯关游戏,当圆周率化身通关密码,这场由学生全程策划的数学嘉年华,用12个脑洞大开的互动游戏颠覆着成年人对"数学日"的认知。

"This is not an ordinary classroom, but a mathematical adventure designed by elementary students themselves!" At the ISA Liwan PYP's π Day International Mathematics Day event, Janice proudly showcased the π bracelet she designed to the younger students.


When mathematical formulas leaped from textbooks into challenge games, and when pi became the key to unlocking levels, this student-led math carnival, with its 12 imaginative interactive games, completely redefined adults' perceptions of a "Math Day."

与往年不同的是,今年的π Day活动完全由高年级学生自主策划和执行。Patricia校长介绍道:“这是一场完全由学生规划、学生准备、学生领导的π Day数学活动。孩子们太开心了。”学生们设计了12个富有创意的数学游戏,如“射箭”、“砸金蛋”、“拍苍蝇”和“UNO Race”等。每个游戏都巧妙地融入了数学元素,让孩子们在玩乐中学习数学知识,展现了他们的创造力和组织能力。

Unlike previous years, this year's π Day event was entirely planned and executed by the upper-grade students. Principal Patricia explained, "This is a π Day math event entirely planned, prepared, and led by the students. The children are so happy." The students designed 12 creative math games, such as "Archery," "Smash Golden Eggs," "Swat the Fly," and "UNO Race." Each game ingeniously incorporated mathematical elements, allowing children to learn math while having fun, showcasing their creativity and organizational skills.

活动中,高年级学生带领低年级的孩子们一起闯关,不仅锻炼了他们的领导能力,也增强了团队合作精神。“有孩子跟我说,‘校长,我发现一个一年级的学生能够解我出的超级难的数学题。真是太厉害了。’” Patricia校长充满欣慰地分享道。这种跨龄协作的模式,不仅促进了学生之间的交流,也让他们在互助中共同成长。


活动现场设置了多个游戏站点,每个游戏都充满了趣味性和挑战性。孩子们在游戏中不仅锻炼了数学思维,还提高了解决问题的能力。这种沉浸式的学习方式,让孩子们在轻松愉快的氛围中掌握了知识,真正实现了“玩中学,学中玩”的教育理念。

During the event, older students guided younger ones through the challenges, not only honing their leadership skills but also fostering teamwork. "A child told me, 'Principal, I found that a first-grader could solve the super difficult math problem I created. It's amazing,'" shared Principal Patricia with pride. This cross-age collaboration not only promoted communication among students but also helped them grow together through mutual support. 


The event featured multiple game stations, each filled with fun and challenges. Through these games, children not only exercised their mathematical thinking but also improved their problem-solving abilities. This immersive learning approach allowed them to grasp knowledge in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, truly embodying the educational philosophy of "learning through play."

这次活动不仅是一次数学的盛宴,更是一次全人教育的实践。通过自主策划和组织活动,学生们不仅提升了数学能力,还培养了领导力、团队合作和创新思维。Patricia校长补充道:“从写计划,到设计游戏,到准备材料,和活动运作,全部都是4、5年级学生参与。他们为1-3年级孩子们准备了有趣,又互动性强的数学游戏。”这样的活动正是学校所倡导的全人教育的体现,孩子们在实践中收获了成长和自信。


G5年级的Chloe同学分享道:“看到同学们玩得开心,又能学到东西,我也感到非常有成就感。”低年级的Mia同学则兴奋地说:“原来数学可以像拆盲盒一样刺激有趣!”

This event was not just a celebration of mathematics but also a practice of holistic education. By planning and organizing the event independently, students not only enhanced their math skills but also developed leadership, teamwork, and innovative thinking. Principal Patricia added, "From writing plans, designing games, preparing materials, to running the event, everything was done by the 4th and 5th graders. They created fun and highly interactive math games for the 1st to 3rd graders." Such activities reflect the school's commitment to holistic education, allowing children to gain confidence and growth through hands-on experience. 


Chloe, a 5th grader, shared, "Seeing my classmates have fun while learning made me feel a great sense of achievement." Meanwhile, Mia, a younger student, excitedly said, "I never knew math could be as thrilling as opening a mystery box!"
