本学期初，爱莎荔湾语培中心结合IGCSE /ALevel考试时间节点，联合升学老师、学科教师及学生本人，精心策划了一场语言学习的小冲刺。

我们深知，IGCSE和ALevel考试是学生们学业路上的关键节点，而雅思考试的成绩更是他们迈向心仪大学的重要敲门砖。因此，语培中心在充分咨询升学老师、项目协调员、学科老师以及学生本人的意见后，为部分同学量身定制了雅思冲刺计划。

这一计划不仅为大考复习预留了充足时间，更助力众多学子成功攻克语言难关，手握优异成绩，满怀信心地迈向大考。目前首轮冲刺成果显著，一起来看看学子们的进阶故事！

At the beginning of this semester, the ISA Liwan English Test Training Center, in conjunction with the IGCSE/ALevel exam schedules, collaborated with college counselors, subject teachers, and students to meticulously devise a mini sprint for language learning.

We are well aware that the IGCSE and ALevel exams are pivotal milestones in students' academic journeys, and IELTS scores serve as crucial keys to unlock the doors to their dream universities. Therefore, after extensive consultations with college counselors, project coordinators, subject teachers, and the students themselves, the English Test Training Center has tailored an IELTS sprint plan for some students.

This plan not only reserves ample time for exam review but also helps numerous students successfully surmount language barriers, secure outstanding scores, and stride confidently toward their exams. The results of the first sprint are now significant. Let's take a look at the students' progress stories!

This semester, the English Test Training Center, building on the solid foundation laid in the first half of the semester, swiftly initiated a rapid knowledge review mode. We quickly covered the question types while accelerating the progress of the CCA (after-school tutoring activities) and ECA (extracurricular expansion activities) reinforcement classes, providing students with more ample practice opportunities. This efficient learning model enabled students to rapidly enhance their language abilities in a short period, laying the foundation for the first sprint.

Grade 12: Overcoming Weaknesses to

12年级邓同学：

邓同学的语言基础原本就较为扎实，ALevel学科成绩也十分出色。大半年前，他的雅思成绩已经达到了7分，但写作部分的5.5分让他无法满足于此。在与同学和升学老师的反复沟通后，我们为他确定了考试时间与地点，并针对他的写作短板开展一对一辅导。

在精心规划下，邓同学凭借认真练习的态度，最终取得了7.5分的总分，小分均在6.5分以上，成功跨越了梦校的语言门槛。他的成功秘诀在于精准定位自身短板，并在老师指导下全力攻克。例如，针对写作中的语法错误，老师引导他分析范文和自己文章的句子语法结构。经过几次练习，他的语法概念逐渐清晰，语法错误也明显减少。

Deng, a Grade 12 student, already had a solid language foundation and outstanding ALevel subject grades. Half a year ago, his IELTS score reached 7, but his writing was still stuck at 5.5, so he needed to refresh his IELTS score. After repeated communication with classmates and college counselors, we determined the exam time and location and provided one-on-one tutoring for his writing weaknesses.

Under meticulous planning and with Deng's diligent practice, he achieved a total score of 7.5, with all sub-scores above 6.5, successfully crossing the language threshold of his dream school. His success is mainly attributed to his ability to accurately identify his weaknesses and then overcome them with the help of teachers. For example, when there were many grammatical errors in his writing, the teacher would have him analyze the grammatical structures of model essays and his own articles. After a few practices, his understanding of grammar became clearer, and his grammatical errors significantly decreased.

11年级吴同学：

碎片化学习，成就艺术生辉煌

作为艺术生的吴同学，平时学业繁忙，但她的学习热情从未减退。四月，她取得了雅思总分7分、小分6分以上的优异成绩。她分享说，自去年语培中心和IT部合作，为全体学生电脑安装了背单词软件后，她便养成了每天背单词的习惯。她每天学习100个新单词，并复习100个学过的单词。

语培中心推荐的单词软件不仅让学生在学习新单词时掌握其发音和丰富例句，还通过读音和选择题的方式帮助学生轻松积累词汇。随着单词量的不断增加，吴同学的阅读和听力成绩一直稳步提升。尽管写作曾是她的弱项，但在考前，她通过练习写提纲，最终取得了6.5分的写作成绩。恭喜吴同学，她在11年级便提前完成了语言成绩目标，为未来艺术之路铺就了坚实基石。

Wu, an art student in Grade 11, has a very busy academic schedule, but her passion for learning has never waned. In April, she achieved an IELTS total score of 7, with sub-scores above 6. She shared that since last year, when the English Test Training Center and the IT department collaborated to install a vocabulary learning software on all students' computers, she has developed a daily habit of learning new words. She learns 100 new words every day and reviews 100 previously learned words.

The vocabulary software recommended by the English Test Training Center not only helps students learn new words with their pronunciation and rich examples but also allows them to accumulate vocabulary effortlessly through pronunciation and multiple-choice questions. As her vocabulary increased, her reading and listening scores continued to improve steadily. Although her writing was once a weak point, she managed to achieve a writing score of 6.5 by practicing writing outlines before the exam. Congratulations to Wu, who has already met her language score target in Grade 11, laying a solid foundation for her future artistic path.

Grade 10: Rising from Adversity to Start Anew

10年级陈同学：

陈同学上学期从公立学校转入爱莎荔湾学习，语言学习起初并不顺利，尤其是写作和口语方面屡屡受挫，学生和家长都曾为此担忧。语培中心的老师对他进行全面评估后，建议他专心跟随校内语培课程，认真完成作业。

本学期雅思题型刚讲完时，陈同学便报名参加考试，一举取得了总分6.5分、小分6分以上的成绩，达到了大多数大学的入学标准。接下来，他将全身心投入IGCSE考试的准备中，并在学期末与同学们一起冲击更高的雅思分数。陈同学的经历可以证明，爱莎荔湾国际高中的语言课程能够有效帮助公立转轨学生克服语言关。

Chen, who transferred from a public school to ISA Liwan last semester, initially faced difficulties in language learning, especially in writing and speaking, which caused great concern for both the student and the parents. After a comprehensive assessment by the English Test Training Center teachers, he was advised to focus on following the in-school English Test Traning courses and complete his homework diligently.

As soon as the IELTS question types were covered this semester, Chen signed up for the exam and achieved a total score of 6.5, with sub-scores above 6, meeting the admission standards of most universities. He will now concentrate on preparing for the IGCSE exams and join everyone else in striving for higher IELTS scores at the end of the semester. Chen's experience proves that the language courses at ISA Liwan International High School can effectively help students who transfer from public schools to overcome language barriers.

The first mini sprint of this semester by the English Test Training Center has yielded remarkable results, with the majority of Grade 12 students meeting the conditional offer requirements, and other grades have also formulated detailed study plans according to their own situations. As an IELTS beacon school, ISA Wenhua High School is fully leveraging its resource advantages to prepare for the end-of-semester IELTS group escort exams. The registration work has been completed, and the English Test Training Center is closely cooperating with subject teachers to conduct the second sprint based on the IGCSE and ALevel exam schedules.
