In April, amidst the vibrant spring, IB students stepped out of the classroom and embarked on extraordinary journeys of inquiry. From the mysteries of the human body to the science of silk, from storytelling to environmental action, each grade’s field trip embodied the essence of IB education: cultivating lifelong learners who engage with global issues and use knowledge to shape a better world. Let’s dive into their adventures!

小小作家梦 —— 故事创作与角色设计

Little Authors’ Journey: Crafting Stories and Characters



一年级的小探险家们走进《流鼻涕的恐龙》的奇幻世界!在作家与插画师的引导下,孩子们不仅聆听了故事背后的创作历程,还亲手设计了自己的“流鼻涕恐龙”。从角色迭代到色彩搭配,他们领悟到:每个故事都是思考与创意的结晶。最后,一本赠书、一张合影,为这场创作之旅画上充满灵感的句号。

G1’s young explorers stepped into the whimsical world of Dinosaur with Runny Nose! Guided by an author-illustrator, they learned the art of storytelling, designed their own dinosaurs, and discovered that every story is a blend of imagination and critical thinking. A signed book and a group photo marked the end of this creative odyssey.

穿越时空的科技盛宴 —— 器物与创新的对话

Time Travel Through Tech: Bridging Antiques and Innovation



二年级的孩子们在“西洋记——广州科学中心”开启了一场“时空穿越”!从古老器物到现代科技,他们见证了技术如何重塑人类生活。紧凑的活动节奏、沉浸式的体验,不仅点燃了好奇心,更让孩子们思考:传统与创新如何共筑未来?答案或许藏在每个孩子眼中跃动的探索之光里。

G2 students embarked on a “time-travel” adventure at the Xiyangji Antiques & Science Center! From ancient artifacts to cutting-edge technology, they saw how innovation transforms society. Through dynamic activities, they pondered: How can tradition and modernity coexist? The spark in their eyes held the answer.

守护蔚蓝星球 —— 水资源行动进行时

Guardians of the Blue Planet: Taking Action for Water



三年级走进东濠涌博物馆,用脚步丈量5.4公里绿道,用科学检测水质,用双手制作滤水器。这场“水资源保卫战”教会他们:一滴水,承载着生态责任。孩子们不仅学到了污染治理的科学方法,更坚定了“从我做起”的环保信念——知识,终将化为改变世界的力量。

G3’s journey to Donghaochong Museum was a call to action! They hiked 5.4km along a restored canal, tested water quality, and built DIY filters. This “water mission” taught them: Every drop carries ecological responsibility. They left not only with scientific skills, but also a resolve to protect our planet—knowledge in action.

身体的奥秘 —— 健康生活的科学密码

Cracking the Body Code: Science of a Healthy Life



四年级的探究聚焦“人体系统”。在医学中心,孩子们通过模型、实验和讨论,揭开消化、呼吸、循环系统的协作之谜。他们反思饮食、运动与睡眠的影响,最终领悟:健康不是偶然,而是每一天的选择。这场旅程,让“功能、联系、责任”三大IB概念深深扎根于心。

G4 delved into the human body’s secrets! At a medical center, they explored digestive, respiratory, and circulatory systems through models and experiments. By reflecting on lifestyle choices, they realized: Health is a daily commitment. The IB concepts of function, connection, and responsibility came alive through their discoveries.

蚕丝奇缘 —— 自然材料的科学与文化之旅

Silk Stories: Where Nature Meets Culture



五年级探秘花都宝桑园,从蚕宝宝到丝绸工艺,体验了一场跨学科探究。古法缫丝、蚕茧彩绘、桑果采摘……孩子们既触摸到丝绸的物理特性,也思考着材料使用与环境的关系。传统智慧与现代需求如何平衡? 这场旅程,让可持续发展理念悄然萌芽。

G5’s silk adventure at Huadu Baosang Garden was a blend of science and culture! From silkworms to silk-reeling, cocoon art to mulberry picking, they explored material properties and environmental impacts. A key question emerged: How can tradition meet modern sustainability? The seeds of responsible innovation were planted.



 每一次校外探究,都是IB学子“知行合一”的实践。他们用好奇心丈量世界,用行动回应全球议题,用创造力书写未来。四月虽过,探究永不止步——因为我们相信,今天的探索者,将是明天的改变者。

Every field trip is a step toward knowledge in action. With curiosity, creativity, and compassion, IB students engage with the world’s challenges. April’s journeys may end, but their quest continues—because today’s explorers are tomorrow’s changemakers.
