Daniel坦言:“我在初中主修音乐课程,高中刚来斐特思时,数学仅相当于初一水平,英语和化学知识体系也存在诸多漏洞。”斐特思却在“不完美起点”中,帮助Daniel找到加速度。学校安排量身定制的学习计划,专属的导师,从最基础的概念讲起,逐步为Daniel搭建知识体系。在 IGCSE 阶段,Daniel数学成绩突飞猛进,一年内追平同年级学生平均水平,为 AS 阶段学习铺平道路。
At FCG, every student receives a personalised learning plan. The school designs their paths based on their academic foundations, interests, and learning styles.
"When I was in junior high school, I focused on music. When I first came to FCG in high school, my maths skills were at a seventh-grade level, and I had gaps in my knowledge of English and chemistry," Daniel said. Despite the imperfect start, FCG crafted a tailored study plan for him, providing a dedicated tutor who started from basics and gradually built his knowledge. During the IGCSE stage, Daniel's maths scores saw a dramatic improvement, catching up to his peers' average level within a year and laying a strong foundation for his AS-level studies.

For Yuty, who was simultaneously taking AS-level Mathematics and A2 Business Studies, the school arranged cross-grade classes and exclusive mini-lessons, creating a unique personalised schedule for her. "Unlike the IGCSE courses others took, the school made special arrangements for everyone. I attended the AS-level Mathematics class in grade 11, directly tied to my A2 stage. The most unique part was the Business Studies class – at that time, only Kyrie and I needed to take A2 Business Studies, so our business teacher, Ms. Dorothy, provided special lessons and even arranged for us to join the AS-level class in Grade 10 to build a foundation."

The University Guidance Office at FCG tailors personalised college application plans for students, helping them achieve their dream schools.
One strategy to impress university admissions officers is transforming "ordinary experiences" into a "unique personal statement." "Since I had limited competition and extracurricular experiences, Ms. Sisi suggested highlighting my A-level academic achievements and my extracurricular knowledge in mathematics. During prep for the University of Hong Kong interview, she practised with me daily, focusing on posture, speech speed, and English fluency," Wenqi shared.
Yuty:“之前找的外面升学机构老师总让我填模板,但Sisi老师不一样。她逼着我从‘流水账文书’里挖深度,比如让我分析美团外卖的定价策略和经济学原理的联系。”在选校建议上,升学老师建议心仪商科方向的Yuty避免仅申请竞争激烈的纯经济专业,多选择一些将经济与商科结合的专业,既保证了个人兴趣方向又能提高录取率成功率。
Yuty noted, "Previously, the personal statement advisor from the counselling agency used templates, but Ms. Sisi urged me to delve deeper into my experiences and daily life. For instance, she asked me to analyse the connection between Meituan's pricing strategy and economic principles." When it came to school selection advice, instead of choosing the competitive economics major, Ms. Sisi suggested Yuty, interested in business, consider majors combining economics and business to align with her interests and increase admission success rates.
Breaking the Dimensional Wall of Knowledge:
Integrated Teaching

物理老师 Bowen 在讲解 Electric Force、Gravitational Force 和 Centripetal Force 的联立公式原理时,引导学生思考其在化学分子间作用力、经济市场波动中的类似应用。经济老师 Chloe 在教授宏观经济政策时,引入化学平衡动态调节类比,让学生更直观地理解经济系统自我修复机制。
When Mr. Bowen explained Electric Force, Gravitational Force, and Centripetal Force, he prompted students to consider their applications in intermolecular forces in chemistry and economic market fluctuations. Ms. Chloe, teaching macroeconomic policies, used an analogy of dynamic equilibrium regulation to help students grasp the self-repairing mechanism of the economic system.

Yuty在舞蹈社找到众多同好一起享受跳舞的乐趣,“G12 再忙我也要每周挤时间去舞蹈社。万圣节那次,我们改编了《Zombie》并在其中加入机械舞元素,还自己DIY了演出服。通过这个社团,我认识了很多不同年级的好朋友,三八妇女节我们编排的舞蹈还被老师做成了学校宣传片素材。”
FCG offers various club activities for students to explore interests beyond academics and develop unique personalities.
Yuty found joy and belonging in the dance club. "Even in G12, I made time for the dance club weekly. We choreographed a 'Zombie' dance with mechanical elements and designed our costumes. Through the club, I made good friends from different grades. The dance we created for International Women's Day even made it into the school's promotional video."
