12月21日晚，适逢冬至佳节。学校生活指导部为小学部1-3年级住宿生家庭特别举办“舌尖上的冬至，心尖上的陪伴”亲子活动，将传统节气文化与寄宿生活温暖相融，陪伴孩子们度过一个有情有味的冬至夜晚。

On December 21, the Life Guidance Office held “Winter Solstice: Warmth & Togetherness”—a parent-child event for Grades 1–3 boarding families. Combining tradition with boarding life, the evening offered a meaningful celebration of the festival.

活动从一场趣味文化课开始，孩子们在生动的讲述中走进冬至的由来与习俗，了解南北饮食差异，聆听张仲景与饺子的故事。在轻松愉悦的氛围中，渗透传统文化教育，彰显“更中国 更世界”的办学特色。

The event began with a cultural lesson on the origins, customs, and regional food traditions of the Winter Solstice, including the story of Zhang Zhongjing and dumplings. This engaging session reflected the school's vision to “Embrace China, Embrace the World.”

活动巧妙融入教育环节：有奖问答激发思维活力，“饺子蹲”游戏促进同伴交往；饺子评比中，“全能小巧手”“创意无限奖”等趣味奖项，让每个孩子的努力都被看见。在欢声笑语中，孩子们锻炼动手能力、学习协作分享，感受寄宿生活的温暖。

Interactive segments included a quiz and a “Dumpling Squat” game to encourage participation. A fun dumpling contest awarded titles like “Little Dexterous Hands” and “Creative Design,” recognizing each child's effort. Through play, children practiced teamwork and experienced the warmth of boarding life.

在食堂师傅的示范后，孩子们与家长携手投入包饺子实践。揉面、擀皮、包馅，每一步都是亲子默契的配合。形态各异的饺子不仅承载着童真创意，更包裹着陪伴的温暖——这正是寄宿生活中尤为珍贵的情感联结。

After a demo by the canteen chef, parents and children made dumplings together—kneading, rolling, and filling wrappers side by side. The various shapes showed creativity and strengthened bonds through shared effort.

当亲手包制的饺子热气腾腾上桌，孩子们与家长共享成果，满足洋溢脸庞。一位二年级学生兴奋地说：“我在学校学会了三种包饺子的方法！”家长也感慨：“孩子在集体中体验节庆、感受文化，这样的寄宿生活让我们格外安心。”

Sharing the freshly cooked dumplings brought smiles and satisfaction. “I learned three ways to wrap dumplings!” said one second-grader. A parent noted, “Seeing our child celebrate festivals and learn culture within the school community makes us feel at ease.”

此次活动不仅是一次节庆体验，更是学校融合传统文化与寄宿育人理念的生动实践。未来，学校将继续创设多元活动，让住宿生在温暖的校园中感受文化、习得技能、收获陪伴。

More than a holiday event, this activity embodied the school's approach to blending tradition with boarding education. HW will continue to create engaging activities where boarders gain skills, enjoy companionship, and connect with culture.
